Crab cakes were huge and delicious. Restaurant was very warm; maybe the a/c was broken. Wait for food was long; restaurant wasn't crowded but we waited what seemed like ages for our meal. Everyone was happy with the food.
Food and service were excellent!! Had a reception there last year. The manager and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Everybody in my party loved the food. During dinner time, they gave out complimentary crackers and pate and also bread. The coconut shrimp was tasty, but not plentiful for the price. Loved the she-crab soup! My husband and most of our guests ordered 'The Tower'. The dish consisted of grilled crab cake topped w/ creamed spinach, grilled tenderloin medallions and fried onion straws w/ a mushroom sauce. Worth the trip to the oceanfront!
Great food, even better view (no boardwalk to block it!) seafood is definitely fresh. I saw that you didn't include the hours of the pub, which serves a lighter menu but still has the crabcakes and many of the items mentioned in other ratings--it is open 4-11 sun-thurs and 4-12 fri and sat. starting memorial day weekend there will be outside dining. awesome atmosphere in both restaraunts but definitely check out the outdoor dining and live music this summer! good specials too. i haven't tried anything i don't like.
We were there on Christmas Eve. I had made a 5:30 reservation. We rode around looking at Christmas lights and arrived at the restaurant at 5:30. We were seated, served graciously, the manager offered to take a picture of us by the tree on the way out. When I got home I had a phone message from them that they were closing at 5. Had the Shrimp and Grits...AMAZING!! Finally a place that knows what real grits are!!! The best I've ever had!! Highly recommend!!!
We had a great experience at the Surf Club. There is an excellent selection of wine. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. Beautiful views of the ocean. I highly recommend the Crab Cake Benedict for breakfast and the Lobster Bisque for lunch.
