This property is no longer a Super 8, it is now simply called the Whitesburg Motel. There is nothing luxurious here but it is clean and adequate. I have stayed here several times and always had a good experience. The hotel is well located with good access to the main highways. The Whitesburg Super 8 was a very big surprise. I was very pleased by the staff and the overall cleanliness. The smell of fresh paint an clean sheets is what a traveler wants to smell. I recommend this spot to anyone who travels to Letcher Co to stay at the Super 8.

I went into this hotel experience knowing it probably wasn't going to be spectacular. Why? Because it's a Super 8 in Eastern Kentucky. (No offense to Eastern Kentuckians but there aren't a whole lot of hotel options in that part of the state.)
