I have been forced to use this company from my home warranty provider. Long story short - poor customer service, incompetent staff, scammy owner. When you confront about the issue they talk in circles and don't address what you are saying/answer your questions. Very frustrating and a huge waste of time and money!

This company was a contractor under American Home Shield, the home warranty service we had in June, 2009. Our crawlspace had flooded because our sump pump apparently stopped working. The person they sent assessed the situation and indicated that there was nothing he could do until all of the water was pumped out because it was not only against company policy but a safety issue. Fair enough. He indicated that Stateside would coordinate a time to be out at the house on the same day as Nichols so that they could immediately replace the sump pump once the water was gone.

Statewide was contracted to service our hot water heater, which was both leaking and not holding temperature properly. The man they sent arrived around 11 a.m., which is between the 8-noon timeframe, but I was specifically told I was the first call. Well, did not matter, because the man they sent was not a plumber and knew nothing about hot water heaters. He said he couldn't see a leak -- of course the cement in the garage under the heater was wet, you could see the area where water had dried, and the carpet next to the heater was soaking.
