Help us make it rightI have been going to this practice for 6yrs and given birth to two children through them. So obviously I was pleased with my service until today. I received a phone call a few months ago from a collection acgency saying I owed a bill to the practice. The very next morning hitting redial waiting for the answering service to be shut off calling the office while I was out of town to take care of what ever was going on since I have not received any bills in the mail. That morning the receptionist said I wasn't the first phone call about that and more or less led me to believe they got hacked somehow. So now brings us to today. I received a call from the collector again. At this point I'm annoyed by it and called specialists for women again and talked with the office manager she said that I actually do have a outstanding balance and it was a debt collector that they use. At this point I will admit I lost it! I asked why I never received a bill in the mail which I always receive from them for the past 6yrs. She stated that her system shows they sent 6? I told her I find that funny that I haven't had that issue ever in the past until now and why didn't they simply call before they sent it to collections since I obviously had no idea I even had a bill? She said they are too busy to call everyone. I then proceeded to ask how much my bill was for and she said $25. Are you kidding me you send someone to collections for $25 and then don't even give a courtesy call in case they truly didn't get a bill in the mail. Needless to say I payed my bill right then and there over the phone and will not be going back. Customer service goes a long way and I'm in a vary similar industry and if I ever spoke to a client that way and didn't do my courtesy calls when clients owe money I'm sure I would loose a lot of clients. And if my credit is messed up over freakin $25 I'm going to be really p@!%!d.
I'm a working mom and each office visit took over an hour. I told this to one of the midwives and was told "I'm sorry, I was triple booked." During one visit, I was taken to the back room and was instructed to undress. I waited half naked for over 40 minutes. Finally I had it and decided to leave. On my way out I found the nurse chit chatting with the front staff.
When I went into labor, I called the office to tell them I'm on my way, and having given birth before, i was sure it would be soon. With that said, I still had to endure condescending comments and attitudes about whether I was sure I was going to labor. I was 5 cm when I was admitted.
I watched my daughter as she was unceremoniously allowed to drop onto the table instead of to caring hands of an over paid midwife. I watched the midwife as she watched and allowed my daughter to drop. I gave birth at 8 am and did not get a shower until 2:30 pm! They left me and my newborn daughter in the room alone with me still hooked up to the iv. One nurse even came in to turn the machines off but did not bother to take them out. I had to ask the lady who brought my lunch in if she could bring my daughter close to me so that I could hold her. After I was transferred to a different room, the staff would stagger in instead of at one time. The lactation nurse kept on bringing my daughter into the room every half an hour when I told her wanted to rest. Needless to say I left within 24 hours instead of the typical 3 days.
I'm constantly getting billed for the same bill even though I've paid it. I've even scanned and emailed a copy of my receipt to Ms. Gregory and she's told me I'm just going to have to pay again! Who pays for the same thing twice!
I'm currently having to go through physical therapy for pelvic floor instability (SI joint issues) and lower back pain which I'm certain is from giving birth to my daughter and the terrible ordeal I had to go through here.
I regret giving birth to my daughter here.
Changed docs because the office staff is nasty, unhelpful, rude and incompetent. Both doctors know their stuff but dealing with everyone else wasn't worth it. They tried to put me with the midwife when I have ovarian cyst and not pregnant. That was the last straw.
