Help us make it right"There's a lovely whimsy about" this far-out Flatiron kids' shop, making it a go-to for gift-givers who know they'll discover that "special present" amid the "unusual" jumble of toys, games and clothing "full of attitude"; if the out-of-this-world prices have some grumbling "the stuff gets a lot less charming when it's so expensive", rocketeers say they sure know what makes kids "tick."
This sleeper in the Flatiron District has been around for 3 decades now, and features children’s clothing in refreshing styles—a cut way above chains like the Children’s Place. But the prices are also a cut above; good thing sales are frequent.

The owner from this store doesn't singed with the w4 and I 9 form it's illegal she treats her employers very rude and treats them as slaves
I was shopping here with a friend for my son and his little buddy.
Came across some cool vintage car toys from Schylling that made an awesome rocket blast type sound when rolled on a hard surface.
We stood there for a while trying to pick out a color.
The owner comes up to us and asks if we need any help.
You know, the kind of help that's more like an ""I'd feel more comfortable if you weren't in my store"" kind of ""help"".
She expressed that she was not comfortable with us opening the box to look at the cars.
I tried to explain to her we were only trying to pick out a color...
If this store was ever great, it's clearly past its heyday. None of the more current designer brands you would expect from a high end children's clothing boutique. Instead, all I found is the same stuff you can find in moderate department stores but with a ridiculous markup. In addition, the store owner is awful to speak to - utterly unhelpful and obnoxious. They also don't give any refunds. Only store credit within 10 days which also expire!
Pros
+ Leaving the store
Cons
- High prices, uninformed and unhelpful staff
