Some of the practices Snead uses in his “conservation farming” are: 1. •Sod buffers between fields. These buffers,as opposed to bare earth,absorb runoff and act as soft pathways for farm equipment. 1. •No-till planting that inserts seeds directly into the soil. Great selection of Christmas trees. Also, they're well-organized, package and load your tree, and they take credit cards (although there is a $3 fee). What's not to like.

han just an asparagus farm! We arrived around 2pm on a Saturday. We picked our own pumpkins which were $7 each and we found some big ones! We walked the gourd garden, enjoyed the Christmas tree...

Snead's Farm has been operated by Emmett Snead for more than 30 years. It offers tours of the farm and offers farm animal visits, sunflower fields, pumpkin patch visits and more. Its wholesale produce includes asparagus, grapes, watermelon, tomatoes, squash and more. It also operates as a Christmas tree farm in the winter.
