The service at the Smokey Pig was good. Our waiter was helpful and informative. I found the BBQ to be mediocre. It was dry and unexciting. The "NC BBQ sauce" was NOT authentic. OMG The Smokey Pig BBQ is the best in the whole wide world. The waits are so caring and if you do not eat there today u are missing out. i love going there with my family. I have to say the food is AWESOME. I wish i could eat there every day! YOU HAVE TO CRAZY IF DON NOT LIKE IT! go there and they have new specials everyday. I LOVE IT SO MUCH! It's hard to rate it because it's so good

My family and I ate at The Smokey Pig on 01-25-09 and it was wonderful. The service was great, the food was not only delicious but they served you huge portions. My kids had a great time in the family style environment. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The building that houses The Smokey Pig Restaurant was built as a general store in 1927. It later became a local landmark in 1978 as The Smokey Pig. It offers hickory-smoked barbeque and a variety of home cooked and southern style meals.
