Virginia Beach’s original gastropub has long been a Shore Drive favorite for over a decade. With it’s inconspicuous location, tucked back in a courtyard, the restaurant received national acclaim when it was featured on the Food Network’s “Best of”. The first of many accolades.

This restaurant is extremely pricey. They charge upwards of $4.00 for a domestic beer(bottle). The decor is out of place for a bar and the whole place has a feeling of being too cramped, despite the fact that nobodys in there. It shouldnt be hard for the ownership to look at all the packed restaurants/bars around them and realize they need to drop there prices, if they want a full-house too.
The food may be good, but that's it. The service is horrible, couldn't find a waitress after sitting in a booth for over 5 minutes with 3 of my friends. So we went to the bar. Both male and female bartenders are rude and it took me 10 minutes to get a drink, didn't even bother trying to order the dinner that I wanted. It was hard enough trying to get someone's attention because they were too busy hanging and talking with customers they already knew. It wasn't even a busy night; it was a Tuesday night. And you could smell the smoke from cigarettes the moment you walked in the door. I won't go back there at all and would tell others not to waste their time going there. When I've been there on Fridays and Saturdays its far far worse.
My wife and I have enjoyed our meal here everytime. We went again last night and had ribs and smoked lamb shank. It was delicious and inexpensive. This restaurant has turned into one of our favorites in HR along with One Fish two Fish, Costal Grill and Lucky Star.

Location, location, location - some restaurants make it because of it and some in spite of it. Tucked way in the back of the Lynnhaven Beach shopping center sits The Smokehouse Cooler Restaurant. While the location is hard to find, it's easy to see why it's been a local favorite since it opened in 1999.

Popular bustling restaurant serves a selection of barbecue including smoked beef eggrolls, barbecue sandwiches and salads.
A little hard to find but worth the search. Limited menu but it is all very good.
This place is irritating for one reason - WHY DID YOU BRAND IT AS A STRIPPER JOINT?! I asked when I was there, and they looked at me like I was crazy....

Great place, great food, great drinks. The staff has always been awesome...good looking crowd. I certainly don't mind supporting this restaurant.
