In ShortThis is no ordinary garden-supply store. The large, heavy double doors--left invitingly open on warm days--bear Smith & Hawken's trademark pitchfork-and-spade handles. Inside, you're greeted by a Martha Stewart tableau of growing things, fresh woodsy scents and romantic displays. Typical tools get fancy here, like Swiss-made pruning shears, pitchforks and spades for around $60, and pricey gardening wear that's really too nice to get dirty.
