Unique restaurant in a Shoebox

This was my third visit to Shoemakers. The previous two were deemed excellent. The last time my favorite Crab cake was watery, bland and unsatisfying. ?? Service was excellent and has great atmosphere and lively bar scene. what happened to crab cake has left me wondering?

We had a very good meal. A bit pricey but worth it. We chose not to get drinks, as the wine prices were a bit high.

Choose this restaurant based on trip Advisor reviews as we were traveling through VA. The outside is really cool looking, a brick building but set back with nice landscaping. The interior décor is top notch. Very nice and romantic. The greeters were very nice and professional. Pretty much everyone in the restaurant was wearing very nice clothes, shirts, suits, dresses....

Shoemakers has delicious food, in a relaxed atmosphere. I've eaten at the restaurant, and had it for Room Service. The food is always GREAT, and the service of the staff is 5 stars.......
