It was our first time there. Food was excellent. The menu had great choices but not overwhelming. Ingredients were very fresh and high quality.
We met friends for a birthday celebration. Food, service and wine were all good. I was a little disappointed that despite knowing this was a birthday celebration the dessert did not come with a candle for the guest of honor to blow out and make a wish. Oh well, everything else was very nice.
my boyfriend an I had a very nice dinner at Sensi. Our reservation was at 8pm on a Friday and we got seated with no problems. Our server was very friendly and gave us helpful tips on the menu. We started with the caprese, which included some of the best buffalo mozzarella I have ever tasted. For dinner, I had the salmon, which had a very delicious topping but was a bit overlooked for my tastes....
The food was just okay. I don't think in good conscience I would suggest this restaurant to anyone. The service was very good and the ambiance was as well. I had pasta (fettucine carbonara), which was fair at best. I have had better at other italian restaurants in Richmond. I did not try their meat/fish entrees. Perhaps that would have been a better choice.
My friend and I went to Sensi for dinner during the weekend, and felt underwhelmed by the experience. For the price, we would much rather go to Julep's or Acacia, where the food is cooked to perfection, the ambience is stellar, and the service is great. The ambience at Sensi was haphazard; the layout of the restaurant was odd and the music selection was off-putting. It took an entire hour...
