A/C repair was supposed to be covered by the extended warranty we had but we were told that the unit was beyond repair and that we needed to purchase a new one. They quoted us with $7,000.00 but we got one from another vendor for $2,795.00; when the extended warranty contract expires we are not renewing!

I bought the warranty and called for a summer service an inspection before the warranty expired. THE TECHNICIAN WAS A LAZY SCAMMER!!! He told us that the reason the humidity was high was because we keep our doors closed. Then he told us that the unit needed a special custom ordered filter and not the ones we've used for 10 years, since they were 1/4" too small and causing wear n the equipment...

Sears Home Services has made addressing my concerns difficult. I've called customer service but they will absolutely refuse to give a mailing or email to address for a written complaint.
