Repairman was on time (I was lucky enough to get a same day appointment to look at my dishwasher). He was patient about explaining options. So far so good - the more conservative (and less expensive) fix is holding.

Sears called to let me know the repairman was on the way. The repair man called when he arrived - 5 minutes early and when I asked for an additional 5 minutes he waited in his truck. When he came in he asked me the problem with the washer and I was able to explain the codes I was getting when the washer quite and point out that the bracket for the door lash was broken.
