Very disappointing!! The towels and wash clothes smelled bad like they were mildewed. No door to upstair room and in the middle of the night someone started beating on the downstair down and it scared us so bad we had to call 911. No one came to tell us they were sorry it was a horrible night. I couldn't wait...

For a B and B not great

So the room,location, and the grounds are great. Got a King bed room in guest house. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Antiques around place were nice. The grounds were neat. Porches facing street and water garden/pond. That's where the charm ends. Yes I know in certain situations you should not bring electronics with you to a B and B....

Although the location is very convenient to the waterfront and the room we stayed in was fine, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Huge, clean room and clean bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Super friendly owner. Great location. Walked to the heart of Manteo every night for dinner. Saw several live bands during our visit on the 4th of July. Fireworks were great. Great restaurants in Manteo. Some have lovely views of the waterfront. My husband and I stayed in the guest house on our wedding night and it was perfect. We loved everything about the room. It was clean, comfortable and the tub was amazing! We hope to come back every year for our anniversary. Great for local staycations or vistors.
