I don't normally frequent Italian restaurants. Somehow I always associate Pizzas and Lasagna with Italian restaurants in general , foods that I don't normally eat. I was surprised how broad the menu in this restaurant was even at lunchtime. Lots of sea food items which I like. Nice lunch experience overall. Will definitely go back to this restaurant.
Was in Virginia for wedding & needed a place to eat while other family members were at another dinner. At the suggestion of the bride we decided to try Sapori. I found the dining area rather loud as there was a singer and a guitar player. Just lowering the volume a smidge would have made dinner conversation possible. I have been there 3 times and I'm still not impressed. Food is ordinary and overpriced. Service was slow every time. I won't be going back.
Several items on the menu were a disappointment. We believe the clams are responsible for two in our party of 10 getting sick. We also ordered tiramisu, which came almost hot, and as soon as you put your fork to it, something resembling raw egg oozed out of the top. I must say the zucchini appetizer was very good, but...
