Check out this shop's reviews on Google before going there! ;) I am looking for a coin shop to trade in very old coins from an estate sale. But the reviews have me too scared to go to this location.

A lot of coins that are overpriced, horrible customer service. Just a grumpy old man, no fun to deal with.

I have some coinage that I was interested in selling. I have never sold any of this type of material before so I am new to this type of business. I called Roanoke Coin Exchange to ask if they bought the type of coins that I had and if he could tell me what kind of prices I could expect. The fellow was very abrupt and rude even on the phone saying brusquely that "all deals are made in the store"...

Wow, after reading some of the other reviews I don't feel so alone. The owner really was a jerk. I asked him a couple of questions that I had, but he seemed uninterested and annoyed, he was very rude about answering them. Didn't even make eye contact with me. I left feeling embarrassed and dumb. Very unpleasant experience, I don't think I will ever be going back again.

The owner is a jerk. I was told this and read the reviews but decided to check for myself. I met him in person and asked a few questions and he made me feel like I was an idiot. After I checked his price, which had a 20% mark up, I called him back to inquire about making monthly purchases of silver from his business. He was rude and curt, even after I told him that I was in earlier. Don't waste...
