My husband and I went here for our Valentine's dinner date. We had a great experience. The food was delicious! For appetizers, we had the shrimp cocktail and crab cocktail. Overall a very good to great venue for fine dining. While the entire room was lively, it was not conducive to good conversation because the noise level was way too high. It was difficult to have a normal (noise wise) conversation with my date. But, I will return in the future.
This restaurant never disappoints! Had dinner this past weeken with my husband and our good friends. Everything was delicious and service was awesome. Can't wait to go back.

The service was efficient and our waiter, Daniel (I think) was polite, pleasant and helpful. We shared a lobster bisque that I thought was amazing. I had filet mignon tips that were delicious. My husband had trout which was fine . The bread was very good. I had a Tom Collins which was made very well. It's a little noisy but we could hear each other.
Best straight up martini I have EVER had. Ice ice cold, perfect. We both had the sirloin (8oz) and fries. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. The fries were hot and delicious. It was delightful week night dinner. Jason was a five star server.
Filet mignon tips are amazing and you get mashed potatoes and an abundant serving of green beans. The meat melts in your mouth! We had a reservation which you need most every night and when we arrived they asked us if we wanted a booth or table seating which was appreciated.

My husband and I went to dinner for my birthday and started with a seafood tower! It was amazing! The seafood was fresh and abundant!!! The atmosphere has been really great every time I've frequented the restaurant. It's nice that the restaurant gets crowded, but you can still easily hear the conversation among the people at your table. We live in NYC, but have family near Princeton. We have dined at Witherspoon with our young child, just the two of us for a romantic anniversary dinner, and with the in-laws for a celebratory dinner. The interior is equisite and elegant, however the restaurant still maintiains a slightly causual atmosphere. There is outdoor seating which is ideal for most of the year, and the food is very well put together, although at a slightly higher price.
There are an inordinate amount of expensive restaurants in Princeton but this one really fills a niche. It's much more modern that Alchemist & Barrister, Ferry House, Lahiere's, etc. and serves nicely updated, classic American food, which makes it a good alternative to Mediterra.
