Clean comfortable and quiet. We were spending a week with her grandkids and found this to be an excellent central location for both Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Check-in was quick and friendly room was clean,comfortable, roomy and quiet. The breakfast was adequate but not exceptional. Overall a very good experience.
This stay was adequate for the time necessary for the stay. Staff members were pleasant. There were a couple of events going on in the hotel and you were able to hear the music through the walls. Other than that it was an ok experience.
Room was only 78 total for a king room for one night. The staff was great. Room was perfect. Breakfast had great options. The only negative part, which is not the hotel's fault, a guest left their large dog in their car overnight. I called the front desk and the guest moved their car 2 rows farther from the hotel. Still heard barking all night and all morning till they left.
There isn't much to say about the hotel since I was only there for 1 night. It was a clean and comfortable hotel and the staff was really nice and accommodating. My bed was very comfortable however, I wish the pillows were bigger. Enjoyed my stay.
It was ok, probably in the lower end, there are a ton of other options in the area. They had industrial fans in the hallway and there were kids running around screaming all night. Breakfast was gross too.

I had a great time all around staying at the Wingate in Chesapeake for our daughter's softball tournament. The room was very clean and the fact that the hotel is smoke-free was an added benefit. Front desk staff was pleasant. The breakfast was simple, but free. The bed was really soft and comfortable. We did not hear any noise from neighboring rooms.
This hotel is in a great location but we had a number of issues. For two out of our five day stay, the room was not cleaned. On the days that the room was cleaned we only received new towels and maybe an empty trash can or two. When we informed the the staff, they only offered excuses.

We stayed at the Wingate on a trip to visit family. It was very clean and we had a lovely room, also very quite, which we appreciated.

Incompetent staff, a couple was assigned the same room as me seconds after I checked into my room. The couple walked into the room causing an extremely awkward situation. Very irate that the staff wasnt diligent in correcting this mistake.

We were in town visiting family on vacation and chose to stay here. It was excellent! The rooms were really clean and well kept ..the morning breakfast was excellent! The lady who served breakfast was a little rude and even started putting things away a little early...but the taste was very good! My daughter and I had a get away for a couple of days and the hotel felt very safe for not having any men with us. 1 King bed room was very spacious. The pool and jacuzzi are very clean. Breakfast bar is pretty good and has a big choice we thought. The only what is strange that the bathroom didn't have a fan but we don't have any other complains.

I stay twice a year at the Wingate in Rock Hill, SC which is a 4.5 star hotel. The Chesapeake Wingate needs some maintenance and upgrades to match the Rock Hill one. The staff at the hotel was awesome. I arrived 9am and was wondering if I would have to wait to check but they checked me in immediately. There was a problem with the lock on the door. They promptly took care of the problem by relocating us to another room without our request. My stay was great.
The hotel was really nice I was super comfy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was that the curtains were unable to close. They answered all question and address any problems we had. Which was very few if any any. I would recommend this location to anyone. The mall and restaurants are within a mile of this location.
