Wild Wolf’s Brewery and restaurant opened along the Brew Ridge Trail on November 11, 2011. The 10- acre property has many unique features making it a ‘must see’ destination. Sprawling hide-a-way brewpub with bottle/merch shop a couple of patio areas and a tasting room with large U-shaped bar that seats about 20. A nice assortment of beers on tap, I liked their stout best. Food was very good and reasonably priced. A great off the beaten track sort of place to grab a bite and a brew.

It appears that they play second fiddle to Devils Backbone but not by much. I think they actually do a bit better on some items and as good on others. Beer selection not as wide but still many more than you could try at a...

The highlight is obviously the range of beers on offer but the food is also good. I had a decent taco with salad and the staff were friendly.

Winter Sunday Afternoon in the Pavilion

We asked to sit in the pavilion where they had live music. We chose to try the sampler of all their beers for $10 (included their regular and season beers). Nice atmosphere, scenery, and space. Although it was a little chilly, the music, food, and...

We really enjoyed our dinner at Wild Wild Brewing company. The food was excellent - delicious - and very important to some of us, they had numerous gluten free options, not often found in the Nellysford area.
Numerous choices for beer - very good.

Have been here many times and the food never disappoints. Beer selection has new/seasonal offerings occasionally. The traditional house brews are pretty darn good also.

We’d like to give this place another try in the future. I think they had some circumstances beyond their control the day we stopped in. The cool thing about this place is that it’s a very eco-friendly establishment. It’s family friendly and there was live...

The food was very tasty, good beer and our server was very accommodating. We were a party of 6 with differing food allergies which our server handled with ease.

Poor Disability Access

VERY marginally disability accessable! The drive up to the ramp is blocked off by games and a rope so that from the Handicapped parking my wife had to go about 50 feet along a narrow irregular brick walk to the ramp on her rolator. May...

What a wonderful lunch my friend and I had eating on a sunny porch this beautiful chilly December afternoon! We had delicious sandwiches with sweet potato fries, 3 small samplers of fantastic beers, and a delightful peanut butter pie with coffee. Our server, Kristin was...

Randomly found this place while driving around in the area, so I looked it up and figured it was worth going back to check out. We went during lunch hours, and while it wasn't too busy, it was fairly busy, with most the front patio seats taken. But they also have a back patio that was empty, and we opted for that. Apart from the main bar building, there is also a gift shop with bottles/cans and...

The cover of the book, if you will, looked really cool as we arrived. The brewery has a series of neat buildings and outdoor patios that make it look like its own town. Very unique. Three of us sat at the bar in the back and had a nice variety of beers and food to pick from. The one bartender we had was very nice and helpful. All seemed to be ok and after eating, I politely asked if we could...

Decent locale and nice set up. Wish there was more of an outside bar then just the tables. Free standing gift shop and seperate entertainment shack. Plenty of outdoor table seating and a good sized bar inside.
Had a flight of their main line beers. All were ok-nothing I could get excited about. I did buy a 22 ouncer of their pumpkin beer and really enjoyed that. They did have a nice selection...

Was on Blue Ridge run and had been aiming for Blue Mountain and Devil's Backbone. Not familiar with Wild Wolf but made a stop. Good decision.
Fun lively place that is well laid out. Nice beer options ranging across styles. I aimed for the bigger beers and was pleasantly surprised. Well made and very tasty. Had a decent canning and bottling of many of their beers even a few bombers.

Nice place, but I would lean toward Blue Mountain (if you want food and a view) or Starr Hill first.
Beers are all OK, but nothing great. Good service. Worth a stop, but don't go too far out of your way.

This brewery has a wonderful location and setup. Several outdoor seating areas and a well laid out indoor restaurant and bar are really nice. The food I've tried was also top notch. I havent been there when they are smoking or grilling on the huge outdoor BBQ pit, but I imagine it's pretty epic.
The biggest gripe I have with these guys is the rather bland beer. They have plenty of taps and...

A sprawling microbrewery with a wider menu selection than some of the others.

If you saw our picture, you'd notice we couldn't help but drink and dive in before I could get a snapshot! Super good. Super nice people. Crystie was great and knew a lot about her place of work. Hubby wants to come back for his birthday!

Love it!!. I love this place! The beer is great and a good price on the flights (If you get a full flight, you get a 151 sticker). Our waitress, Melody, was great and checked on us frequently. The fried pickles are delicious, but you have to try their FRIED PRETZELS with CHEESE SAUCE (we had three orders between the table)!! If you try them once, you will be back for them!! Wild Wolf lies dead in the middle of Nellysford's other two breweries. This gives them a slight disadvantage and causes people to miss out on this gem of a brewery. Wild Wolf sits back off the road a bit in a beautiful wooded sanctuary. The brewery hosts an amazing beer-garden, and a town like array of gift shops. The atmosphere is very quiet and humble.

We had an awesome experience at Wild Wolf!Love the Blonde Hunney and food was delicious! Our waitress Chrystie was knowledgeable and fun, and we enjoyed the laid back atmosphere that was different from the other breweries in the area.We will definitely be back!

Overall we would return. They charge for samples here which is strange because out West they don't. The place is super cute. We started with fried pickle app with creole sauce. Nice breading. Sauce was good. Asked for more. Hubby got angus burger and beer battered fries. He enjoyed it. I had jambulaya. I'm picky about my jambulaya. I know New Orleans and LA cooking. This was good! We enjoyed a full flight (11 beers) for $10 - why is everything so cheap in this area?!Love it!The beer was just okay - not our favorites.I enjoyed the sour beers, but my boyfriend (who likes IPAs) wasn't in love with anything. However, the service was very friendly, albeit slow.Overall, not a bad addition to our Blue Ridge Mountain beer/wine tour.

Nearly a year ago I took a half-day off of work to head up to Charlottesville for a concert. But first, I had to stop at the recently named best small brewery in the country by the Great American Beer Festival. On my way to Devil’s Backbone, I suddenly passed a sign for another brewpub just a few miles away from my destination. I was new to Virginia, so I hadn’t heard of Wild Wolf before, and...

This place is good!. Out of the several breweries in the area, this one is under estimated. It's not as well polished as the others, but the beer is far better. The food is good too, try the reuben sandwich. If your a beer lover, give this place a chance.

Came into this with high hopes and I was not disappointed. Beautiful on the inside and out, with a nice seperate dining area from the bar. Good, but limited food options and a great selection of their beers available on tap as well as to go.

The place is an old building - converted from being the high school about 100 years ago and they have surrounded it with a little village including some play areas for children, a waterwheel, a home brew shop, and another shop in addition to the restaurant + bar. Love this place. Every time we go I find something else to love about it. Great service, great beers. The wee heavy and the hunny blonde are excellent. There are a few seasonal brews that I'm not into but overall love their selections.
Fun for kids, inside and outdoor seating, inexpensive and great food. They have homemade smoked bbq but also great vegetarian options.
Highly recommend it.

Had lunch in the new brewpub. Food was decent but inconsistent. For example, we had fish and chips and fried chicken sandwich at my table. Fish was excellent with a nice thin batter but the fries were mushy. Similarly, the chicken was tasty but in such large chunks the sandwich couldn't hold together so you couldn't really taste the integration of the arugula, onion jam and aioli.

Atmosphere: It's probably better to refer to this as the Wild Wolf campus. The new facility (just a mile from the old one) has a homebrew store, a bar, a restaurant, a water wheel and an awesome feel. Almost like the old Weeping Radish or Stoudts. We settled on the spacious bar, plenty of windows to allow the light in.

Wild Wolf Brewing Company is a nano brewery and home brew shop right in the heart of Nellysford on Route 151 South. At this point in their short history, they are not serving food (but that will apparently be changing this November). With that being said, their atmosphere is very modest. Ranking solely based on beers and the quality of the brew shop, there is a lot to like. The brew shop is...

Stopped by here on my way down the 'Brew Ridge Trail'. They are building a fairly large brewery/restaurant and shopping center not far from their current location and it is slated to be open in November of this year. Looks like a nice place on the drive by.
