Location for what I was there for\n\nThey unplugged the refrigerator when room was cleaned and our food went bad and the room smelled like a musty basement
Clean, accommodating, courteous staff, ideally located for my needs.\n\nEstablishing pricing should be based solely on a fair price for the commodity including a reasonable profit. We have all seen prices sore based on demand, but raising prices 30% to a 150% is predatory. Don't indicate only one room available, it's not true
We made reservations by phone the night before. When we arrived, we asked to see the room first. The man took us in the back through an alley, past the dumpster to a small, rundown, dirty room. When we said we would not stay there, he took us to another room on the side. While this one looked a bit...
I was reading view below me and they seem to have horrible experience at this hotel! My stay was quite comfortable for 1 night I spent there. I had their "family suite" and it was a nice spacious room. Although it was pricy, I only had 2 other options a run down motel across the bridge or spend fortune at...
I saw on some other review sites some positive reviews, but those most have come from the owners. This place is absoutely disgusting. We were with a large group and a couple of them decided to just drive home instead of staying overnight here. I agree with the other 2 reviews on this site. All of the rooms we had...
This place is dirty. The pillows are ripped, they are stained. Sheets are stained. Pillows have a stamp on the back saying property of Peninsula Hospital. Ceiling has bugs, cobwebs, cracks, stains. Floor is dirty. Furniture is chipped and dirty. Woke up with about 20 bed bugs next to me, now have a lot of bites. Do not stay.
I understood that there had been renovations to this hotel so and being from the area that was a welcome sign. When we checked in all looked well until we got into the room.. OMG dead bugs on the floor mold in the shower, stains on the sheets and a God awful smell in the room I felt like I...
The thing I really liked about this property is the area. This hotel is located in a small town where every one knows each other and all the businesses are local. I enjoyed by stay at this hotel it was really nice and comfortable. I was expecting worn out bed but instead it was an up to date mattress which was very comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and also recommend it....
When Tropical storm Ida blew through we found home surrounded by rising water so we went to higher ground and stayed at the Whispering Pines for the night. We were very surprised, the room was comfortable, everything was new, including the mattress which was extremely comfortable. Not your run of the mill motel mattress. The bathroom was redone with marble counter top and tub enclosure and the...
I took a 13 hour drive to VA as my step dad was sick. I needed a place to stay. There was only one "chain" hotel in the area, but was $130 a night. I found Whispering Pines and from the outside it look like any old mom-pop motel and had a crushed gravel parking lot. I was given my room key (the old fashioned type) and let my self into room 23. I was surprised! It was not a big room but had a...
We enjoyed our stay at the Whispering Pines Motel, it is very clean and the staff attended to every of my every need. We were there to visit family and this hotel is our home away from home. We will definitely be back. They have done a very good job renovating the place. Everything is very nice inside the room.
My husbands family is from this area, I was told the hotel was under new management and newly renovated; we stayed there one night to attend a family funeral and will never stay there again; hotel is old, moldy smelling, we used an entire can of spray for the room, the only renovation was a flat screen tv. when I called to make the reservation the person answered the phone "hello" never stating...
This is a good motel. I enjoyed my stay there. It is in the process of being renovated and luckily I had a brand new renovated room. It was clean obviously, everything was great. The rooms are good size and we enjoyed our stay at Whispering Pines Motel!
I enjoyed my stay at Whispering Pine motel, nice location, and very clean room just like holiday inns. I was trying to get my room at the holiday inn, but they were full so they recommended us this motel. I loved it, reasonable rates, rooms are big with LCD plasma TV. I think it was reasonable rate, cheaper than Holiday Inn, and there rooms were as nice as holiday inn’s room. The new...
The hotel was poorly kept, there were mouse droppings and large bugs in the room. The rooms smelled of stale cigarette smoke and it is not a family atmosphere at all.
