Finally have had a chance to dine at The Radish a few times. I am very impressed with the beer tour and the whole story of how it started. Love our service and really enjoyed our food. Each time I have been it has been work related - next time me n B will go to have a beer. Or two!

Amazing beer, food, root beer, and people! We love how environmentally responsible and sustainable their practices are.♡ I live in Virginia Beach and we stop there any time we are on our way to OBX. If I'm really lucky, they show up to the Old Beach Farmer's Market in Virginia Beach and I can place an order and have it delivered! ( they're absolutely amazing when it comes to this!) AND...They...

We left full and happy! We ordered the potato soup, fried pickles, reuben, and the hot dog lunch special. Everything was delicious! The service was fast and our glasses were always full. We did not try any beers or desserts. We will definitely go back to try more things on the menu and to get some meats from from the butchery.

Great brauts and great beer, what else to say?The brewery is definitely small, I think some tours are offered on weekdays but mostly there is just a platform you can look at the tanks from (not...

Great Craft Beers

We thoroughly enjoyed our flight of craft beers at the Weeping Radish. Our server was very knowledgeable and explained many things about the brewing process of each beer. We would loved to have had time to stay for lunch - everything we saw other people eating looked delicious!

Beer flight and food

We make this a rest stop on our way to and from OBX. One flight of beer for two people is just right. All the beers are first rate, but my personal fav is the black beer. For food, the liver wurst appetizer and the fried green tomatoes are delicious. If you order sausages, the bratwurst, both the plain and...

Weeping Radish, Rushing Radish

We stopped in after a day on the Outerbanks. It was around 4:00 and it was not crowded. We were promptly seated. The friendly waitress handed us a couple of menus and ask what she could get us. I thought she meant our drinks but she was ready to take our order for food without us having time to even...

Disappointed

We look for microbreweries wherever we travel and drove an extra hour to hit this spot.
Sat at the bar and was handed a beer list. I usually get a flight but the price was $5 / pint and $10 / flight. So I eliminated the flight idea.
Only 5 beers and nothing hoppy which is my preference. I ordered...

Save your time

We made this a day trip while in the Outer Banks. The beer was sub par, nothing particularly interesting for a craft brewery. The wurst sampler was not good, the sausages were dry and flavorless. The gourmet mustard was good but you had to pay extra for it.

Won't Be Back

I was happy to find a place for the beer enthusiast that is my husband and the meals are also "farm to table" Weeping Radish is that place. We arrived to an empty restaurant, one table full and us. Our server was kind, friendly & remembered I had called & said we were the anniversary couple. So I ordered the...

Convenient stop on way to outer banks

We stopped at the brewery on our way to nags head. We arrived at opening 11 am since we were on the road for 7 hours already and were hungry. We read they were dog friendly. True but had to sit outside in the sun with no service, order take out and plastic cups for our beer. We could not...

Must Try

It has been a few years since we were in the Outer Banks and we will continue to make this one of our stops each time we are out there. We had the beer flight which was 7-8 of their beers and loved them all along with a wine from a local winery. Two of us shared the "pick 3...

Authentic German Bierhaus

My family and I have been stopping in at the Weeping Radish for well over 25 years --- first at their original location in Manteo and more recently at their farm in Grandy. My husband was born in Munich and still has family there; we travel to Germany frequently. The atmosphere and food at the Weeping Radish brings us back...

Will Not Accommodate Food Allergies

After saying we were going to stop in after seeing it on the Food Network, we took a day and drove down from Virginia. I was so excited to take my husband, the German beer and brat enthusiast, to a place that made things the old fashioned German way. Knowing I have a difficult and rare food allergy I emailed...

Delicious food and beer

My parents live about 3 minutes down the road from the Weeping Radish, so whenever my husband and I travel to visit, we always have either lunch or dinner here. They brew their own beer and you can buy it in either cans, bottles, or kegs. They make their own sausages as well and use fresh produce. If you're looking...

Pleasant Surprise

We heard that this was a nice German place and wanted to try it. It reminded me of a small Gasthaus in Germany. The beer is fantastic! The brats are superb! We were not disappointed and they even turned on the World Cup Final game for us to watch. We bought a few of the brats to take with us...

What a cool place

We stopped at the weeping Radish on the way back from the Wright Brothers museum in Kill Devil Hills NC. Looks like a big farmhouse. Nice and cozy on the inside, wood floors gives it an old style charm. They make their own sausages and beer that you can purchase. Very unique combination of foods on the menu. Everything from...

Amazing food... Not that great service

I visited for the first time today after a couple if co-workers really talked it up. The food was absolutely amazing! I had the farmer's burger and my wife had the mushroom burger, the meat and veggies were obviously very fresh which is a great touch! The ONLY complaint and the reason I do not give it 5 stars was...

Delicious

We stopped here after seeing the restaurant on food network. Delicious microbrewery beer (get the sampler!) And sausages made on site. I had a sausage sampler of brats that came with sauerkraut and and pretzel. It seems like if you wait and go after five you will have a more extended menu to select from. Very family friendly and they...

Potato soup, potato pancakes, fried green tomatoes and Portobello burger were all awesome. As were the OBX Kolsch and Corolla Gold. The best part was the restaurant is dog-friendly.

Best Reuben Ever

Went to the Weeping Radish on our Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives tour of the Outer Banks. Loved the atmosphere and great service. The reuben was the best ever with fresh corned beef and homemade sauerkraut. Not all restaurants that Guy has featured are worth the trip, but this one we really enjoyed.

Excellent learning experience.. Loved hearing all about the business of running a brewery in North Carolina by a very knowledgeable owner. Stayed for lunch and had 3 diff kinds of sausages and the sweet potato liverwurst. All were excellent. Enlightening and informative. I myself am not a beer drinker but the 3 people I was with loved the different beers...

Sweet potato liver wurst? A pleasant surprise

As a frequent visitor to the Outer Banks we have driven past the Weeping Radish often. We finally decided to try it out for lunch on our last trip through the area. My husband had a wurst sampler plate w/sauerkraut and a pretzel. I had a wrap. They were very good. I cannot stand even the smell of kraut -...

Drove up from Manteo with 4 friends for the Wednesday morning tour of the brewery and then stayed for lunch. A experience not to be missed! Prior to this visit I would have told you emphatically that I didn't like any kind of beer. But the Black Radish brew I sampled on the tour definetly changed my mind. Uli, the...

A new tradition has been born

We try to check out local breweries, tasting the beer and touring the facility, whenever possible. The Weeping Radish's Wednesday tour (11:00am) is well worth the $5.00. Uli, the owner, provided our tour and was full of great information and stories. We sampled three beers during the "tour" (this is a local brewery, not Sam Adams, so its a pretty...

Great Craft Beer

I love craft beers and was not disappointed when visiting the Weeping Radish. Their craft beer and farm to table food selections made for an excellent lunch. This place is definitely worth the drive when visiting the Outer Banks!

Love This Place

We stopped here for lunch on our drive to the Outer Banks, NC and were so glad we did. There food was delicious and their beer selection was wide. They make all their own beers so if you are craft beer type of person, you will not be disappointed. I love the rustic feel this place has going on inside...
