Waypoint at Hidenwood is located back off of Warwick, one of the main avenues in Newport News, and about a mile from Christopher Newport University. This provides the best of both worlds as it's close to a lot of businesses and amenities, but quiet at the same time. I room with students from Christopher Newport University. The units are a decent size for rent price and a good location for students, not far from school and also not far from grocery stores and other convenient businesses, while still being slight removed from busy streets.
Very disappointed with this apartment complex. I moved to this complex because it received good ratings (a few bad ones) regarding maintenance; I did not want any maintenance hassles. Waypoint is a great place to live. The people in the community are very friendly. The property is managed very well. They respond quickly and efficiently to all calls or problems. We have enjoyed our time at waypoint and expect to be residents for a while.
Nice clean neighborhood . I would Recommend this place to anyone . Family safe and located in a central area near many shopping places and restaurants . My experience so far has been nothing but great. Marie in the rental office is very nice and answers all questions in a timely manner .

My family just moved in to Way Point Apartments. The condition of the apartment is excellent. The staff is helpful. The surrounding neighborhood is nice. We were able to have a 6 month lease which was extremely helpful. The pool is beautiful. The washer and dryer are brand new and wonderful.
Nice residences who care about outward home appearance. Very professional office and maintenence. Apartments could use updating such as new carpets, new cabinets, etc. Maybe have more pet stations around the community. Very happy here!
My rent did increase as well. My micowave have been out for week and all is stated is that the part is on back order. With rent increase and price there should never be out of parts or replacement on items
I have lived here for about 8 years. I love the neighborhood and the zoned schools. They are older apartment and have not had any upgrades since moving in but the price has continued to go up and up. They are pretty good at following up on work orders. All and all its a pretty nice place to live just wish it was not so expensive and or if the did some upgrades to the apartment homes.
This apartment was one of the largest apartments for the price, a great value, the grounds and units are well maintained, very quiet community, convenient location, maintenance staff quickly respond and truly provide quality service, amble parking
The staff at this location is very friendly and responsive, which is main thing I focus on when looking for a place to call home. The grounds are very well maintained and I often see children enjoying the pool and the playground areas. A good place for singles or families.
great quiet neighborhood. Friendly staff but they lack great communication between residents and resolving issues. Also the walls are extremely thin and you can hear your neighbors coughing snoring laughing and their television sets.
The apartment meets my needs and is relatively close to my place of employment as well as the various services I am most likely to need. At present its at the high-end of affordable. The noise level can be a bit high from time to time. The staff is personal and professional.
From the time I moved into the apartment complex until recently I have always been treated with the upmost respect and nothing more. Mostly everyone here are very social able and well mannered which makes individuals very easily to get along with.

It is a very family friendly community. Great place for kids to play. Property is always well maintained. There is lots of area for my kids to play. Even though you are living in an apartment it doesn't feel that way. Quiet and no distrubances from neighbors.
My experience at the community has been wonderful. The office staff and the maintenance staff work very hard to keep the community informed of upcoming events and keeping the property in tip top shape. They make living in the community comfortable.

Overall, we have had a nice stay here at Hidenwood. The unit is nice and clean, and the outside stays well kept. I only wish the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were a little larger, and the doors had two locks for extra security. Nice place for families!!!
The apartment is good. Overall it is nice. Too nosy. Walls are paper thin. I could smell my neighbor's number two through the walls. Could hear couples yelling very loud around 2 am. Could also hear the man beating his child and the small girl's crying. Community is nice. Easy way to get to Warwick. Close to my daughter's middle school. Kitchen and bathrooms need to be updated more.
Just moved in it was smooth and easy. Marie was very nice! The community is attractive and the landscaping is well kept. The only thing that would make this apartment complex any better is if they paid all utilities lol. Overall, I'd recommend Hidenwood to anyone looking for an affordable yet nice place to live!
The community in whole is extremely nice. The apartments are in excellent condition, the neighbors are friendly, the grounds are clean and well maintained and there is no noise. It is a very quiet area. We feel very safe even when we are out walking our dog after dark.

The area is clean and quiet. So far we like it. We just moved in. I have not been here long enough to go into detail about everything. We like the space and the price is also good. I like the fact it has assigned parking. The last place I stay at charged an arm and a leg and there was no assigned parking.
Looking in the area for a few months I have found Waypoint @ Hidenwood to be the best looking for the price and location. Besides their being no motorcycle spots I have no had any problems with the apartment or staff. I would Definitely recommend to others.
The maintenance is great at fixing issues in a timely and prompt manner! The apartment complex is clean inside and outside and is a quiet and a pet friendly community. The management and staff is caring and correcting any issues in a timely manner!
We moved from a one bedroom in this apartment to the two bedroom. My wife and myself absolutely love the community. We plan to stay in the community until we are able to move into a house. The community is quite and very peaceful we look forward to the next few years here.

Only been here for a month. I love it so far. Leasing office staff was nice and pleasant. Work order was handled very promptly. Maintain staff is nice and effective. Love that it's a small complex with a neighborhood feel. Only downside is that there is only one assigned parking space per unit. Street parking is available though. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
My family and I really love living out here. It's quiet and everyone stays to themselves. I think that the rent is a little on the high side, but that is the price you have to pay to live outside of the hood. I look forward to another year in my apartment.

I have Had good experience with this apartment complex. I would advise my family and friends to move into this complex it a great place to bring kids. their a nice playground pool. If you need anything fix they are quick to respond.my plans are to stay here for the long run.
