This combined tour of Norfolk harbour and the Battleship Wisconsin represents excellent value for money and a great day out for all the family.
The Victory Rover sails by the berths of Norfolk Naval base, bristling with the finest examples of modern warships and submarines, as the Captain outlines not only the names of the ships but their history (such...

I've been living in Norfolk for 2.5 years and just recently conducted the tour, I should have done it 2.5 years ago.
Of course the tour provides an excellent narrative and insight into the capabilities of the United States Navy but it also provides some fantastic information regarding the history of Norfolk and the Hampton Roads area.
The tour takes...

Thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. Many navel ships were in the harbor and the gentleman explaining what we were seeing was so knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this cruise. Sit on the upper deck of the Rover and on the right side

This is a well narrated 2 hour river cruise. Begins by getting a ticket at the Nauticus Musuem outside ticket window. If you plan to visit the USS Wisconsin and the Musuem and do the Rover get a combo ticket and save $5. per person. It's well worth it.
The Rover cruise lasts approx. 2 hrs. take a light jacket...

My wife and I were visiting the Williamsburg / Norfolk area early October and the plan was to visit the USS Wisconsin however we didn't manage due to the heavy rain caused by the hurricane. Wefinally made Norfolk on the Monday but but the Wisconsin isn't open so we found a brochure for this tour and decided to try it....

If you are interested in seeing the most of the Naval base then this two hour boat ride is for you. The narrator was very knowledgeable about not only the area but also of the ships that you will see in the Naval base. There are seats on top of the boat but if you prefer or get too warm,...

Use the parking garage across the street from Nauticus and find the outdoor ticket window on the side of Nauticus. There is a combo ticket for the Naval BaseTour plus touring the Wisconsin. BUT be sure you will have time and energy to do both. I have been told the cruise on the Victory Rover can accommodate a person in...

A group of us went on the Victory Rover Naval Base Cruise while visiting Williamsburg. It was just about an hour's drive from there. What a nice surprise it was! The gentleman who narrated the tour was thorough and very knowledgeable. We went on the 2pm tour on 9/11 and that added a special touch with all the extra security...

A Very Pleasant Event

If I have out-of-town visitors this is the one trip I try to get them to take. Starting from Town Point Park the boat brings you up close to the eclectic maritime interests on the Elizabeth River. Shipyards, warehouses, Army Corps of Engineers, dredging, types of ships, and then a very comprehensive review of the U.S. Navy vessels at the...

Victory Rover is a 2-hour day cruise program which takes you up the harbor, past the naval base, and back down to Nauticus. It is very interesting and informative. The tour guide talks to you about…
