We saved a stray "Butterfly", we took her to VCA. The Vet told us everything! Did a complete exam. We know she is a full breed, her age, she got her shots and they also did follow ups after each visit. The facility is very clean and fresh. The staff is very friendly. Today, after many months of hard work, our hospital went through a 5 hour review and passed the AAHA evaluation to be accredited. I recently had to make the tough decision about my oldest dog.. was a rough time for me. Everyone was very sweet and understanding. They let me sit with her for awhile and just gave me some time. They even sent me a card signed by everyone. I appreciate everything they did for me.

Tried to charge me $1700.-2000. to remove a tumor off my dogs toe said they had to amputate the toes-after I couldnt afford they made me feel like I was an aweful pet owner.Before almost putting my dog asleep I got 2nd opinion from Banfield.$420. later they took off tumor no toes and did rest of same treatment and my dog is fine.
This place tries to soak money from you for unneeded treatment not considering the pet they are sacrifising.

I took my dog here to get fixed and they were AWESOME! I was looking at different clinics or PETA, but I am so glad I came here. Not only was all of the staff very helpful, Dr. Gawel went out of his way for us. Whenever I have to travel out of town I board my dog and cat at VCA Boulevard Animal Hospital in Newport News. The staff is amazing and you can tell how much they care about my pets. The pet boarding facility is beautiful and they are staffed 24 hours a day, so I know that my pets are never left alone.

We have been using VCA Boulevard Animal Hospital for years. The doctors and staff really care about our pets and the level of service is fantastic! Plus they are open until 9PM so it is really convenient to see a vet after work. Boulevard also has grooming, boarding, pet foods; it is one-stop shopping. They are always friendly and professional.

After being un happy with the vet I used to use, I tried Boulevard and could not be happier. They are extremely nice and while they arent the cheapest, they are the best I've been to. I used to live in carrolton, va and would travel across the JRB to JR vet to take my dog Sandy. They were always polite and treated my dog and I special. The prices were average to affordable and all my needs were met with care and friendly conversation. I enjoyed JR vet and reccomend it to anyone who is looking for a vet with integrity.

I would go here just for the sake of knowing that the doctors know what they are talking about. Animals cannot tell you whats up, so I would think its harder to diagnose them. Thank you doctors for helping me so many times with my pets!
