I went there for lunch and found it to be wonderful. The prices are very reasonable and you recieve very good size portions. The wait staff are friendly and quick. It was a treat to go to a place like this.
Great place, nice people, reasonable prices. I live a block away and eat breakfast every Sunday at Tony's. On Sunday they do a biscuit and Gravy special that is like mom used to make. Enjoy....
Good food and service for a good price. I had a blt with 2 eggs on it and it was very good. "Just like momma fixed it".
Simple diner food. Only tried breakfast. Pancakes, sausage, home fries, eggs and toast. All for under $7. Also ordered lemon pie about $2.50 hubby said it was good. Will be back to try a burger...
Sorry Tony, but we won't be back. Diners harken back to real, simple food. Boxed mashed potatoes for the fail.
Decent place for breakfast. Food tasted pretty good. Prices are low. Coffee was good. Service was wonderful. We had pancakes and a western omelet. They were ok, but nothing wonderful.
This is an old fashioned diner, folks! Don't come here expecting anything fancy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The waitresses treat you just like family. I come here often and I tend to order the same thing. If it...
I'm from Jersey, the global capital of diners; so, as such, I may have set the bar a bit high. During one of her thrifting trips to Norfolk, my wife came across this quaint little diner. Other reviews described it as "funky", and I would agree. My wife ordered standard breakfast fare, which was quite good - especially the waffle....
Really great breakfast at noon. Loved the pancakes. Boyfriend loved the service and the grits! We will definitely be back.
Stopped en route to beach. Service by two ladies a slight bit erratic but pleasant Sandwiches were good and reasonable value - how could you get a South Philly native to approve a cheese steak below the Mason-Dixon line? He approved of Tony's!
Your diner came highly recommended and you did not disappoint! My husband had the chicken fried steak and I had the bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato sandwich. Both meals were plentiful and very tasty. Our waitress was very attentive. We hope to be back soon.
Went here to breakfast and sat for a good 30 min before anyone acknowledged us. Had to get up and go ask for our coffee 15 after the waitress finally took our order.... The bad thing about it was they were not very busy!! The food finally came and it was bad... My friend asked me... "How can anyone mess...
Cheap eats served up slowly. A basic and inexpensive menu of breakfast, pizza, subs and a few daily specials provides OK'ish food. The kitchen is appallingly slow so be prepared to wait. Despite that, it's one of the better places to eat in this grungy part of Norfolk.
