I recently bought a condo in Chesapeake, Virginia through Megan Parker, of The Ron Sawyer Team and would highly recommend her as an agent. I visited here in February to start a search, however my condo in Myrtle Beach had not yet been sold. Megan took a good amount of time to show my friend and me several listings in my price range. I found two in a condo building which I liked very much. However, no decision could be made yet. During the next five months, Megan continued to stay in contact with me, sending other listings. In June, a condo in the building I liked came on the market and I had to move fast to make an offer. Thankfully my condo had sold a few days before.

As first-time homebuyers we used to have a lot of questions and he would always take the time to answer them in detail. He was super responsive to emails and phone calls. He was always well prepared for the showings with all the details and research handy. On at least two occasions he encouraged us to wait and not settle for a house that didn't meet all our criteria. Commission was clearly not his only goal. He was never pushy and I never found him out of patience even though he had to stand in at least three inspections that we got done. He also helped us write best possible offers - we got our house even though we hadn't offered the highest amount and our down payment was on the lower side too.
If there was a better rating than 5 stars, this team would get it. They were absolutely instrumental in helping us purchase our first home in 2011. We always got quick responses to all of our nervous emails. Ralph remained patient as we went through house after house that we didn't like, and when it came time to put an offer on THE house, he put together a fantastic package for us. We are absolutely positive that we would not have gotten our house if it wasn't for Ralph.

This was a basic service. The Ron Sawyer’s Team lead us through the process of buying the home. They are a very straight forward, no nonsense type of company. We knew where we wanted to live and had an idea of the house we wanted to live in. We were sold on the house we purchased, but they even pointed out some negatives, which was good. When it came to the price, we will more willing to go low and they know the market and were willing to work with us to get a good price but also knew what the seller wanted. Megan held our hands through our first home buying experience. She was so patient with us, and is very dedicated to her clients. I had a break-in at the home I was renting. I came home in the middle of the afternoon to find that my back door was kicked in and many valuable items removed from my rental. My wife was a wreck! They have been managing my five rental properties for three years. I have had several other companies over the years and they are the best I have had by far.
Used them for property management after I couldn't sell my house in Norfolk. Had it rented in 7 days and it has been in autopilot. No complaints. Came recommended from 2 of my friends I served with in the Navy and who also have their properties for rent there as well. Sounds like a few people have had issues but I haven't had any yet - will update if I do.
Poor service. It took over 6 months for them to get my house prepared for renting after an eviction, when it should have taken one at the most. Then I found a leak in my kitchen that they failed to inform me about, that left th wall and subfloor molded. But they replaced the damaged laminate wood planks over the wet subfloor. Now they are trying to charge us $39, then $69 extra for carpet cleaning months after they already sent my a final bill that was doctored to equal 0 balance. I already used that bill for my taxes, but I guess since they fudged the records and now want more money I will have to ammend and refile my taxes for 2012. All of this on top of difficulty getting in contact with anyone on the phone. Complete nightmare!
There is not enough time in the day to say how bad this branch of Remax is. I am referring to Sawyer/Thayer. Never dealt with such unprofessional morons in my life. How they can continue to be employed by Remax only says how Remax as a whole is. I had a similiar issue with the property not being cleaned properly. They have a scam going and all I can say it will catch up with them in do time. They are the bottom of the barrel/pond....pure SCUM/OXYGEN eaters.
Ron Sawyer Team is horrible!!!. I put in an application for one of there properties. It took them over a month to get back to me. I ended up calling them after a month to see if our application was approved. He told me he was busy and would call me back. He never called me back so I called him 2 days later. I finally got in touch with him and was told we got approved from Re/Max but not from the owner. He then stated that he told my realtor two weeks ago that we didn't get the place even though I talked to him last week when he told me we they were still waiting for the owners to get back to them. They give you the run around and never call you back.
This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. Their emergency plan is text me and I will get back with you. When we moved out we were told that it was not necessary to have the house professionally cleaned, we were sent a cleaning checklist, we cleaned the house and we were told the cleaning was acceptable. The fact that it was not necessary was confirmed by another representative via e-mail, and then we were told that it had to be professionally cleaned. We had the carpets professionally cleaned and left the receipt in the house. The company then tried to charge us to have the carpets cleaned again. The representative of the company has been rude multiple times - several of them via e-mail. I would never deal with this company again,
