Help us make it rightThe Parsonage Inn was all and more than we anticipated. The proprietor had thought of everything and more than expected. It had more of a home feeling than a public hotel. We would definitely recommend it and would go again.
We would have liked to have been checked in by a person. We were unfamiliar with the area and found it difficult to locate local restaurants. Wifi was included, but we were not given the code on the letter left for us at check in. There really isn't much around the area. We were disappointed with that. The breakfast was good and the service was good as well during the meal. The bed was very...
We really enjoyed our stay in edenton at the parsonage inn. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was amazing. The little shops in town captured our interests. This was a lovely girls weekend away from the hussel.
Highly recommend The Parsonage Inn. The historic town of Edonton is a beautiful hidden gem with all the old southern charm and grace in it's people and setting. The room was very comfortable & attractive and an elegant breakfast was served followed with a dessert. Can't wait to go back!
Stayed one night on a road trip down the Carolinian coast. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming - waiting for us when we arrived. Breakfast was excellent. B&B is quirky and interesting which you sacrifice some convenience and comfort for but was overall worth it. Location extremely convenient for exploring the city of Edenton which I highly recommend.
Nice clean. Parking a little tight but doable. Stairway to our room (in back) sucked. Hot tub not cleaned or ready for use. Great breakfast.
Excellent welcoming and assistance by the staff. Excellent breakfast. We had to leave early on our last night so breakfast was not available. Beautiful downstairs and dining area. Use elevator to the 2nd floor due to the design of the residence. Would recommend a stay at this B&B.
Absolutely delightful! Tareck met us with a smile and provided top notch, warm service throughout our stay. Our room, number 1, was lovely - comfortable bed, beautiful bath. There was cheese and wine on the dining room sideboard, soft drinks and cold water, snacks, etc. available in the guest kitchen. Highly recommended. I will stay again. Oh yes, FABULOUS breakfast - fresh fruit, delicious...
Great B&Bin quaint Edenton,NC. Short walk orride to the maindiwntown area. Onlynegativeisthatcurrently the sites and services forthemostpart are closed on Sunday and Monday due to state budget cuts.
My husband, son and I stayed for one night before a College orientation. The owner and staff were very friendly. They were more than happy to accommodate vegan dietary needs. We would stay again.
My cousin and I decided to get away for one day and the experience was outstanding. The room was great and the service outstanding. We really enjoyed looking at all of the antiques and furnishings in the house. The whole trip was worth the wait and we hope to visit again real soon. We have heard that it is beautiful at Christmas time with the decorations and tours. The location is perfect.The...
We stayed for one night before heading to outer banks!
The bed was Uncomfortable and breakfast was average !
Couldn't say anything negative. Service was great, very personable. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay
Super nice time. Excellent, friendly staff. Great location to walk. Plan to go back sometime.
The innkeeper made us feel right at home. Excellent location near the downtown and the historic sites.
Wonderfull place and people. We really enjoy it. A very nice place to stay.
Will not return. Turn-offs included: smokers (not registered guest) smoking on front porch inhibiting any guest gathering, lots of smoking receptacles set about just outside, coffee maker not working properly, very over-furnished room, so-so breakfast (fruit particularly sad), inappropriately barefoot & dressed only in bathrobe guest at breakfast, couldn't get DVD player to work, over-priced &...
Was greeted at the door in excellent fashion. The staff was courteous and knowledgable. Great destination.
Being rated so high, my husband and I decided to call this Inn our home for one night. We called and let them know we were going to be arriving late in the night. They gave us the instructions on what to do upon arrival. We went through a big storm so our arrival was delayed even more but were surprised that wine, hot tea, cheese and crackers were left out for us. It sure was warm to have the...
The B&B was located in the historical district and therefore in easy walking distance to the downtown and water area. It was an old Historical house, but tastefully appointed. The room was comfortable and there was cable TV and a DVD player in the room. The common, living room was comfortable and welcoming with a large library and there was a small kitchen area to be used by the guests. The...
I especially enjoyed this Bed & Breakfast. The location was just perfect. My only regret is that we didn't have more time here. The elevator was a bit of a challenge but eventually I figured it out. I loved the gormet breakfests.
The Inn is nice, including the living area and guest rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Inn is in the heart of Edenton, easy walking distance from the waterfront. Breakfast was excellent; the Innkeeper adjusted for our food allergies. Edenton is picturesque (and we have the picture to prove it). Highly recommended!
Giuliano combines the best of the old world and the new in wonderful hospitality & Cuisine. As am NC Historian I am taken aback at the depth and beauty of early NC history. This place is right in the middle of it.
There is not much to do in this small town, but as a place to get away and unwind it can't be beat. The "downtown" area is within a short walk. Service was outstanding from start to finish. We have stayed in a wide range of B&B's, but this breakfast put all others to shame. If you stay in the Lord Granville Suite be sure to ask for info about how to operate the shower/spa.
This was my first stay in a B&B and did not know what to expect. I was please overall. The room and bath were very clean. The bathroom had a very small shower and the ceiling needs some hole repairs. The mattress had to be as old as the house and was well worn. The breakfast was great! I would stay there again but maybe in another room.
Excellent hotel. They just need to wash the tablecloths at some point! Other than that, very good hotel that deserves a recommendation. Also to mention that we stayed only 1 night and it probably would have been wiser to stay 2 nights.
Alles super. Viel mehr geht sicher nicht. Saubere Zimmer, ein herrliches frisch zubereitete Frühstück und Giuliano und Terek sind perfekte Gastgeber. Zur Begrüßung wurde ein Glas Wein angeboten. Gerne wieder!
Very nice stay we loved the breakfast and the service. We enjoyed conversing with the owner and the other guests.
I understand that the house this B & B is in is old but our room and the common rooms are a bit rundown. There was nothing special about our room. I was looking forward to breakfast because we'd heard much praise for the owner/chef. I was very disappointed. Ordered the raspberry pancakes, which were overcooked and had been cooked earlier and kept warm (they weren't fresh and were limp) and not...
My wife and I fell in love with the place, easy to get to and Close to the walking area of downtown. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable and would absolutely go back there.
Great place. See reviews at trip advisor for details.
The hotel was very sweet. My fiancé and I went for a weekend getaway. The inn was adorable and had snacks and drinks, including wine, that guests could access at any time. The staff was super nice. The owner was there most of the time, and left his cell number in case anything was needed, which I thought nice. The food for breakfast was amazing. We had fresh fruit cups, a Mediterranean strata,...
We stayed one night here as part of a three week road trip. Really glad we stayed in this lovely town and great b and b. Have stayed in many B and b's in the US and this is up there with the best of them. Great room with a huge bed spotlessly clean. Very hospitable hosts who pointed us...
A quiet, pleasant stay in a historic home. Breakfast was fantastic. The standup jetted tub wasn't working but we didnt ask for help so maybe we weren't doing something right. Loved Edenton. A great little getaway.,
Had a great stay at the Parsonage Inn. Inn keeper Giuliano was very attentive and helpful plus he cooks a really great breakfast.. Would recommend it.
Made last minute plans for a first visit to Edenton. Couldn't have gone better! Innkeeper was a delightful, gracious, interesting and informative host. The room was spacious and clean. The location was perfect for a "park the car and walk the rest of the weekend" experience. The breakfast each morning was considered, by us, as a very unexpected surprise. We...
Lovely accommodations in a quaint atmosphere! Inviting host with all the tidbits to share of the town, fabulous breakfast and splendid wine and cheese awaits you!! The room is warm and cozy with a shower hard to describe a total spoil a shower, steam room, hot tub gizmo to enjoy!!!!
Look forward to a return trip!!
My wife and I had to make some quick arrangements to stay "somewhere" in Edenton due to a family health issue. Having stayed at several of the B&B's in Edenton before, we chose the Parsonage Inn for this particular stay. I'm glad we did. Guiliano, Terric and Kimberly were very gracious hosts/hostess. The service and care they took to make sure all was well, was wonderful. We were there for 6...
First, the good part of B&B. Bed: room was large, well decorated, clean, comfy bed. Bath was large and luxurious. Great value for the price. There was wine and cheese for happy hour when we arrived and was left out for a night cap when we came home from dinner. B&B is located within walking distance of the "downtown" where...
Enjoyed the conversation with Giulano almost as much as his cooking. Incredible breakfast equipped with dessert!!!
The Parsonage is a beautiful inn; simply elegant. Excellent host. Superb chef! Breakfast is world-class Buy his cookbook! We highly recommend The Parsonage, would stay again, and refer to friends. Edenton is a picture-book historical waterfront town. Award-winning host give personal attention to every detail.
I was in Edenton as part of the crew for the visiting Elizabeth 2 historic replica ship from Manteo and decided to treat myself to a B&B stay instead of sleeping on the wooden floor of a boat one of the nights. What a greatly enjoyed splurge of money! So worth it! The room was beautiful, even though the shower...
Great place to stay! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, period furnishings, and great food. Already made reservations to stay again!
The proprietors are very hospitable and the patronage is beautiful. We ate breakfast in the main house and enjoyed the service and attention to detail. However, the annex at the marina was not to outlining. We didn't that it is out of town and not walking distance from the centre's restaurants. On a cold dark night it seemed spooky to be housed out on a limb. Probably a great location for a...
I had the amazing opportunity to stay two nights at the Parsonage Inn after I had just come out of surgery. I was given a beautiful room. I felt like a princess and was treated like a queen! The bed was huge and I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The bath/shower was incredible, I was tempted to...
very nice breakfast
The Parsonage Inn was delightful! The inn was clean and very comfortable! The owner and staff were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful! I would definitely recommend the inn and I hope to return very soon!
My partner and I came to the Parsonage Inn for a couple nights to celebrate our anniversary, and enjoyed our stay immensely. The Inn is very well appointed, all the rooms having tasteful and well-kept furniture appropriate to the historic house itself.
The breakfast was lovely each morning, though we both found that some of the fruit in the fruit...
We stayed in the bachelors' quarters at the wharf--beautiful views, great windows, comfortable beds, full kitchen. A fine place to stay--private and pleasant. Staff incredibly responsible to requests. We will go back!
This review has been long over due. We stayed at the Marina at the end of August and it was lovely experience. We were looking for a short weekend getaway from the city and this was the perfect location for it. The Marina was peaceful and had a very nice charm about it with its old pharmacy cabinets. To top...
My family including my 2yr old son stayed this weekend and the Parsonage Inn was so welcoming including my child. It is hard to find a Bed and Breakfast that welcomes children and they did with open arms. Will return the this wonderful Inn again.
My wife and I recently stayed at The Parsonage Inn in Edenton, North Carolina.
The Innkeeper Giuliano Giannone is one of the best we know at providing excellent B&B service.
Everything was neat and clean. The breakfast was excellent and his grits the best we have tasted. I would suggest to all our Northern visitors that you should try our...
I must disagree with the reviewer who said the waterfront property belonging to the Parsonage Inn was terrible. Three friends from Raleigh, NC traveled to Edenton to celebrate a big birthday, and we knew the Marina would not be like the rooms at the Inn. However, Juliano and Terrik were amazingly accomodating, even bringing in another bed for us, and...
We (a couple) stayed one night in Room #1 at The Parsonage Inn and were very satisfied. Although it is listed as an Inn, it feels very much like a B&B.
Our room was spacious and clean, especially the bathroom. The outstanding feature of this room was the shower. It WAS powerful, which was definitely a plus for us.
Breakfast...
My partner and I were celebrating our 21st anniversary and we spontaneously traveled to Edenton. Via the internet we contacted Giuliano and luckily there was a room available for our two night get-a-way. Upon our arrival, we found Giuliano and Terrick to be very helpful. We got settled into our room (Lord Granville Suite). The room was large and well...
I loved my overnight at the Historic Parsonage Inn! I loved having more than a bedroom: the garden, the porch, the sitting room with a nice library, and the dining room were all offered and were very beautiful. The wine and cheese in the late afternoon was a generous and gracious touch. Chocolates were everywhere. Breakfast included several choices, all...
Upon arrival we were met by the charming owner, Giuliano Giannone. The convenient parking at the rear of the house led into a patio with plants and fountains. When we entered the door, Giuliano showed us a counter and frig with drinks, coffee, tea, and snacks which were available to us as desired. Our room was on the second floor...
We spend quite a bit of time in Bed & Breakfasts during romantic get a ways, however the Parsonage was extremely intimate. The Inn is located in the downtown area of the city which is quite quaint and walking distance from the waterfront area of town. The owner/host was very welcoming and made you feel at home in the Inn, he was extremely thorough with making sure you were supplied with...
This was awful!! The cottage smelt of mould, stains in the ceiling, stains on the couch, very dirty and in a very poor location. No pictures on-line so I called the Inn and spoke with Giuliano. Led me to believe it was decorated as a cottage and he was not helpful at all.....when we saw it we realized why there...
It was my first time staying in Edenton, NC and my first Bed and Breakfast Hotel. The Hotel Staff were outstanding, the food was excellent, the Room was decorated very nice and the Bed was very comfortable.
The Parsonage Inn opened in the spring of 2013 and is already making a statement about what a B&B in Edenton can be. Highlights are Giuliano's breakfasts, the architectural transformation of a parsonage from days gone by into a B&B, and the dedicated staff. Giuliano is highly creative and talented in bringing accommodations and breakfast to another level. We enjoyed...
Giuliano and his cheerful, efficient staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Hospitality is obviously in their blood. The inn is relatively new (open in early 2013, in fact), so it's still a work in progress, but all of the basics are already in place. The fine-tuning to come will make the place even more special. Expect great breakfasts cooked to...
We slept comfortably in the high bed, the AC and ceiling fan just right for the warm August nights. The host and all the staff were engaging, sympathetic and efficient. The breakfast menus were creative and the food tasty. We found the bathroom spa to be awkward for a simple shower, and we could not figure out how to make...
From the moment we made our reservation our experience with The Parsonage Inn was a most memorable one. In fact, we liked it so well we decided to stay and extra day in Edenton partly to further enjoy our delightful accommodations. We will highly recommend this Inn to our friends or anyone interested in visiting Edenton, NC. Ron and Dottie...
We enjoyed our short visit. Being somewhat handicapped the elevator really was a blessing. We were also pleased to have our own bathroom. AND the breakfast was wonderful, the evening before with the wine, cheese and more. Well I could go on and on, and we look forward to visiting again another time. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.
The Parsonage Inn is in quaint Edenton, NC. It is a lovely property, decorated beautifully and easy to find. The best part of my stay was the owner, Giullano and his staff, who were welcoming and helpful. My room was quite small, but I knew that going it, so was not disappointed. It was clean, the linens were fresh. They...
We highly recommend this B&B. Although our stay was short, it was long enough to see clearly that Giuliano is a gracious and caring man who is committed to being a fine inn keeper. Our room was spacious and the linens soft. The breakfast was wonderful. The soufflé light and flavourful while subtle. If you have given up coffee like...
This place is run with a lot of attention to detail and it is very clear that the innkeeper takes pride in making the stay as pleasant and memorable as possible for guest. Beautiful old-fashioned B&B with modern amenities. Clean, beautifully decorated rooms. Fantastic breakfast cooked to order. Stayed here with a friend on the way back from the Outer Banks. Edenton is a cute little town with an...
it was not as good as I pictured
The staff, the courtyard, the breakfast, the location! All wonderful. Can't wait to return. What a little gem of a place!
We were very pleased with our stay at the Parsonage Inn! We understand that it is a new B & B in Edenton so we wanted to see what it offered. We were very amazed at the modern touches along with the comfort of home. When we arrived we were greeted by a refreshing outside sitting area. After our long...
Perhaps we arrived a few weeks too early. Or perhaps they should have waited until everything was finished. Anyway, The Parsonage is a nice old property which has been faithfully renovated and furnished. Once they fix a few small teething problems it will be a wonderful place to stay. Certainly the breakfast, baked offerings and generous complimentary snack food are...
I was in Edenton, NC on business for several days and wanted something more than the usual hotel. I found it at the Parsonage Inn. This is a beautiful property with comfortable beds, very cozy, quiet and chocolate everywhere. The host, Giuliani Giannone, who is also an author and gourmet chef, is gracious and accommodating. His breakfasts were definitely over...
Recently opened inn in the heart of Edenton. Very attentive innkeeper who has spent months saving the house from demo. Definitely recommend! You should hope for the squash blossom frittata for breakfast - delicious!
Our stay in Edenton was very nice. What a pretty town. Very quaint and quiet. The Inn was very nice. Giuliano is a very helpful inn keeper and man can he cook!!!! Our breakfast was the best we have ever had at an inn...gave you choices and all were wonderful...he makes a wonderful apple pie. There are great self serve ammenities available at all hours which we really appreicated. The inn is...
Lots of road noise, very clean
This was our firt time at this inn, but have stayed at many inns, The innkeeeper and his staff was very acomidating and gracious. He showed us the around the inn and we were aware that it was just opened recently. Giulianno however showed his skills as a seasoned innkeeper, there were a few minor things that needed work, but...
Our 31st anniversary was our first B&B experience and it was wonderful. The food was incredible and the accommodations were very comfortable and visually pleasing. The host and staff were gracious and helpful. And the 24 hour coffee bar was excellent.
We have since learned that not all B&Bs are equal, so we are especially pleased with our experience. We...
Working powerlines in the area with a helicopter and not scheduled to stay-over in Edenton, our dispatcher called around for rooms and the only place that had a couple of rooms available for two weary crew was the Parsonage Inn. Well we hit the jackpot. Giuliano is the consumate Innkeeper. We were welcomed like royalty and shown to our accomodations....
The Parsonage Inn is a wonderful place to stay if you want extraordinary service and exceptional food. Giuliano is a wonderful Owner/Innkeeper. Sharing his heritage and family history in the loving way he has decorated this historical home. He is also an outstanding chef offering homemade dishes every morning. Kimberly, Giuliano's right hand, is the sweetest, most welcoming and attentive person...
This B&B was absolutely wonderful. From the time we walked in the door we experienced the greatest hospitality. Giuliano is an engaging host who also cooks the best three course breakfast ever. We felt very pampered with the delightful wine, grapes, and cheese reception in the afternoon, snacks galore, and chocolates throughout the inn. The tub in all the rooms...
My fiancé & I stayed overnight & were warmly welcomed by our innkeeper. Wine, cheese & light snacks awaited & we were escorted to our suite. The Lord Granville Suite was wonderfully decorated & comfortable. The whirlpool/steam tub was very relaxing. The Mediterranean soufflé & fresh fruit for breakfast the next morning was delicious & gourmet. Overall an awesome experience....
I wanted an relaxing yet elegant weekend getaway and I got everything I wanted and more. The rooms were beautifully appointed and all rooms have a private bath. . Giuliani, the proprietor, went out of his way to assure our complete comfort. The afternoon wine and cheese event was charming; all guests migrated from room to room and out onto...
Lots of nooks and crannies filled with comfy chairs and wonderful snacks! Room was clean and bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was amazing from the professionally trained chef owner! Large front porch for the guests to congregate and get to know each other.
Our family had the most wonderful stay in Edenton at the Parsonage Inn. The children had their own room next to ours in a private upstairs wing accessible by a new elevator. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and informed of interesting things to do in Edenton. The three course gourmet breakfast served to us each morning were simply amazing...
This was our first time staying at a B&B, and it exceeded our expectations! Just wonderful! Giuliano was the most welcoming, nicest host who showed us the best hospitality the whole time. In addition to the cheese and wine waiting for us every afternoon, he made the most delicious breakfast. Great location, beautiful home, and a most gracious host, definite...
By far this was the nicest accomodation ever. We have never enjoyed B&Bs because of poor experiences. This was unbelieveable. The room and amenities were wonderful. The three course breakfast was beyond our expectations. Guilliano and his staff were there for every need. We can hardly wait to spend time on that lovely porch! We were lulled into complete relaxation.
I came to Edenton to visit my son who was staying there for the summer. I found the Parsonage Inn on the web. I have not been a fan of staying at B and B's in the past, but I must say, this was a very pleasant surprise. The Inn was charming, the rooms very comfortable (with each room having...
I’m looking forward to coming back to this charming gem in Edenton, North Carolina where the Parsonage Inn exceeded my expectations.
This is my third time in the beautifully city of Edenton, North Carolina and my second time staying at the Parsonage Inn. I travel a lot threw out the eastern USA and my first experience was at the Pack...
I decided to take my wife to Edenton for a two day getaway in the middle of the week, and chose the Parsonage Inn based on the website. We were not disappointed! From Giuliano's welcome as soon as we arrived, I knew that I had picked the right place. Our room was immaculate and wonderfully decorated; the bed was comfortable;...
Every inch of the Parsonage Inn shows how much thought and care Giuliano has put into the place. We stayed in one of the larger rooms, which had a huge Jacuzzi/sauna/shower/etc. (I never new there were so many ways to experience water in a bathroom!) Breakfast each morning was just as good as any gourmet restaurant and so filling that...
This was our third and best visit to Edenton. We stayed at the "new" Parsonage Inn and loved it and the Host. The inn keeper came out to the car in the parking lot to introduce himself and help us with our gear. He gave us a tour of the house and told us to make ourselves at home. The...
We sadly could only stay one night at the Parsonage, but we'll be back. From beginning (wine and cheese, a warm reception from Giuliano) to end (a fantastic breakfast and morning spent wandering around edenton) it was just great.
Our second time to Edenton and we love it even more. Also our second time to have Giuliano Giannone as our innkeeper. Our first experience with Giuliano was at the Pack House Inn in Edenton where won the innkeeper of the year award. The Parsonage Inn is his newly opened inn in the heart of the historic district just a...
We stayed at The Parsonage Inn during their first two nights of operation, for the Heritage Tour (celebrating the 300th anniversary of Edenton, North Carolina's colonial capital, in April 2013). It is a lovingly restored home with perfect, historically appropriate furnishings. Our room was very spacious, with a handsome ornamental fireplace and mantel. Our bathroom was also quite spacious and...
This bed & breakfast is within the region of Chowan Golf and Country Club and Newbold-White House.
An intimate historic inn near the waterfront.
