We had beautiful room, that was comfortable and full of history, their many sites to see around Edenton, N.C. I would stay here at any future time. I recommend the Inn...
We had originally booked a room in the Pack House (a converted tobacco pack barn), which by the way is far more luxurious than it might sound. A few days before our arrival, we got a call from the Inn offering us a free upgrade to a 2-room suite in their renovated colonial revival. A large business group had booked...
After driving all day it was such a great thrill to be welcomed with such Southern hospitality,
Susan and her staff tended to my every need.
The menu at their restaurant is spectacular a true fusion of fine dining and Carolina flair.
Very attractive rooms. The Inn is most attractive for decor and appearance. The inn's employees are most helpful and friendly. The food is excellent as is the service. If you are going to Edenton or traveling in eastern North Carolina, recommend you stay at the Inner Bank Inn.
What a delightful find in the beautiful small town of Edenton, NC. Inner Banks Inn is a quaint B&B. Beautifully decorated, the staff is so friendly and attend to your every need. Add to that The Table at Inner Banks, run by Executive Chef JD Fairman. The food is amongst the finest you will find anywhere. Beautifully presented and absolutely...
My girlfriends and I went to Edenton for a get-away, and it was lovely! We stayed at the Inner Banks Inn, and we are already planning our next visit. Our check in was easy. Susan greeted us, escorted us to our rooms in the Pack House, and told us quite a bit about the history of the property. It's so...
I had a great stay with Susan and her team last week when I was on a business trip in Edenton NC. The business I was visiting recommended the Inner Banks Inn and I was not disappointed. It is a charming property and it felt like home. I arrived around 10:30 on my drive from Atlanta. They were even nice...
Following a warm greeting by Innkeeper Susan, we were shown to our room in the Pack House, a beautifully restored old tobacco packing house and one of four separate houses on the property. There was a well furnished sitting room in each house and a kitchen for guest use. Be sure to reserve early at their restaurant, The Table, as...
My husband & I had a great stay at The Inner Banks Inn & Restaurant. The staff was most accommodating and room was very comfortable. The Table restaurant was fantastic! The food was delicious and waiting staff catered to our every need. We highly recommend this weekend retreat as your next destination....you will love it!
We visited the Inn with a group of 12 couples over this past weekend. This Inn is located in a quiet southern town on the sound. The rooms have very high ceilings, beautiful period furniture and all rooms have their own bath. There was a kitchen where the fridge was stocked with water and ice. There was a Keurig for...
My husband and I stayed here over New Year's weekend and had such a nice time! The inn is gorgeous and very well-maintained. Just a great atmosphere to get away to! The Table restaurant was just excellent - the breakfast was great, and the dinner was easily one of the best meals we've ever had together. We went here every...
Edenton is a charming town with lots of history and beautiful views. Visited for Valentine's weekend which was very cold and windy with a spattering of snow on the ground. The Inn is very quaint with nicely furnished rooms and private bath. We had a fabulous 5 course dinner at The Table for Valentine's. The food was excellent and the...
We traveled to Edenton for a get-away week-end for Valentine's Day. Edenton and this property had been recommended in AAA Go magazine. This was our second visit to Edenton but the first to the Inner Banks Inn. We were not disappointed!!!! Beautiful property and 5-star restaurant on the property. We were warmly welcomed by the innkeepers who did everything --...
This was our second visit in the past six months. When my husband and I want a quiet retreat for a night or two, our first thought is the Inner Banks Inn. With four homes to choose from (and every room decorated with the highest quality fabrics and design) and the gourmet breakfast, the Inner Banks Inn makes us feel...
Our room on the first floor of the pack house was elegant and comfortable. The common area is beautiful including a kitchen for coffee/tea any time of the day. There is a five star restaurant on site. How nice it was to check in and walk a few paces to dinner. Did I mention the gracious staff? This property is...
A Victorian house in a town full of victorian houses. Very nice location. All the innkeepers were very helpful and friendly. Edenton is a very picturesque town. We enjoyed walking around and later took advantage of the restaurent next store on property. Look forward to staying here again.
Really enjoyed our two-day stay in Edenton and at the Outer Banks Inn. We stayed in room #5 in the main house and it was gorgeous -- large room, lots of light, very tastefully furnished. Had dinner one night at the on-premise restaurant -- delicious, gourmet food in a romantic atmosphere. The night we were there in late Jan, there...
Everything was perfect. Our room was quiet with plenty of space to make it our home for evening. Amy was very welcoming and offered lots of info to make our stay even better. The breakfast this morning was delightful and way too much for either of us to finish. We will be back very soon!! Thank you!!
Wonderful place to get together. Rooms decorated tastefully in period style. Amy and Susan made us feel right at home. Great place to just sit and talk, play cards, and explore the town. Town folk friendly and helpful. Kudos the the chef at their own restaurant, "The Table".
I stayed in the Pack House and enjoyed the historical feel of the Inn. The room and adjoining bathroom was huge and the meals served were delicious. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. I recommend to anyone travelling through Edenton.
First class B&B in all respects. We had late arrival and still had almost immediate check in. Susan made us feel at home and quickly made reservations at the onsite restaurant for dinner....which was wonderful. Food was fantastic but pricey.....and worth it.
My husband and I decided on a quick getaway and decided to visit Edenton. After a search of the local B&B's, we chose the Inner Banks Inn. The staff was always extremely helpful and courteous from booking through check out. The inn are absolutely stunning and eloquently decorated. The inn is also within walking distance to the towns shops. When...
While the original purpose of our visit changed due to the weather, we decided to go ahead and "get away" anyway ... The room was clean, comfortable and met every expectation we had. The staff, from the owner to the person cleaning the grounds, was welcoming, and gracious. The food is some of the best we've had and was cheerfully...
I am very thankful for the staff at the Inner Banks Inn for making our visit all that I envisioned for my friend. You all made our life celebration the perfect memory and motivator!
The facilities was very nice and cozy. Excellent service and of course the meal at the restaurant was wonderful. We will be back!
Thank you.
My husband and I gave our adult kids a trip to the Inner Banks Inn and dinner at The Table this January and we went along to spend some much needed 'adult' time together. While we gather often, especially during holidays, it's always a bit hectic and we wanted to let someone else be the host, cook, and housekeeper (right?)....
It rained the day I was there so I was very glad they have their own restaurant. The food was delicious for dinner and breakfast. I have one very small complaint and that is that the bathroom in my suite had some rotten wood directly behind the toilet from a leaking seal. The toilet had been replaced and it was...
We have traveled to Edenton many times but have never stayed in such a wonderful inn. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. All the niceties of fluffy robes, homemade cookies, and elegant wine glasses were furnished. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We had made reservations in The Table,a restaurant that is connected to the INN and were treated...
We stayed for three nights and this Inn is lovely, quaint, comfortable, charming. There is a lovely porch on the front and an attractive and appealing back yard c/w fire pit. Breakfast was more than ample and staff was helpful and engaging, especially Amy, who shared some of the local areas we could visit, e.g. Somerset Plantation. The house was...
We were looking for a quick getaway for a night and the Inner Banks Inn exceeded our expectations! From the outstanding service of all the staff, to the magnificent suite we stayed in, to our unbelievable dinner at their restaurant The Table, and even to their kind accommodations of giving us the added request of breakfast in our room and...
Our company stayed at the Inner Banks for a business trip to Edenton. The Inn has the historic charm of Edenton but with all the modern amenities. All of the rooms were unique and beautiful. We were greeted by the friendly staff who had no problem accommodating our needs to switch rooms, and the fresh baked goods in each room...
Had a girls weekend with 3 other friends and we stayed at the Inner Banks Inn. They were able to accommodate our party with first floor accommodations, because stairs are not our friend, and the rooms were lovely. Plenty of room and comfortable bedding, along with great outdoor seating/rocking. Convenient to walk downtown and around to the shops and the...
What a beautiful Inn with a delicious breakfast. The innkeeper was very informative of the area and eager to please us in every way. We sat out on the beautiful wrap around porch and had tea and cookies that were available upon arrival and throughout our stay. Our room was equipped with a basket full of fruit, cookies and bottled...
I recently enjoyed a night at the inn, including dinner and breakfast (both delicious). The inn was decorated beautifully for Christmas; the property was well-maintained; my room and bathroom were spotless. The staff was extremely warm and accommodating. I would recommend the Inner Banks Inn without hesitation.
I traveled to Edenton for a long Thanksgiving weekend holiday, having never been there before. From the moment I arrived, the staff at the Inner Banks Inn and the affiliated restaurant The Table made me feel like a combination of beloved family and special guest.
The room I stayed in, in the Proprietor's house, was large, comfortable and quiet, with...
I visited edenton in October from Iowa. Decided to return for.Thanksgiving with family and friends and enjoyed the inner banks inn so much that I stayed there 2 nights even though I had a free place to stay on my visit.
The rooms are large and so well decorated that I wished I could duplicate the feel in my own...
My husband, five children and I spent two wonderful nights here. We had two very large cozy and comfortable rooms located in the Pack House. The antique furnishings and decor are lovely! The kitchen area is clean and well stocked with coffee and water. The inn's location is just a couple blocks from the historic downtown making it conveniently located...
This one-night stay along the way was fabulous, for all of these reasons: 1) The Food: the chef was reportedly acclaimed and from what we experienced, we agree! The scallops were simply the best, both in presentation and in taste. And their willingness to cater to my diet restrictions was greatly appreciated. 2) The place: So beautiful in color, appointment...
My friend and I stayed here this past weekend and I have to say it was a great experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food was very good as well. The town of Edenton was a quaint, little town with a lot of history. If you're looking for a place to stay I would highly recommend...
A Top flight Inn with beautiful rooms, great location, excellent staff and relaxing atmosphere. Moved into our top 3 B&B we have stayed in. Comfortable
neighborhood and within walking distance of Town attractions. It is on the main
street but no problem with street noise. We will return.
We spent our anniversary weekend at the Inner Banks Inn and were very impressed! We stayed in the Penelope Barker Room which was beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and accomodating, and the breakfast was delicious! If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, we would recommend the Inner Banks.
They have wonderful accommodations for all types of travelers--singles, families or people with pets. The rooms are clean with delightful furnishings and the staff couldn't be more helpful. They also have a restaurant on site that serves some of the best food I have ever had--very fresh and creative--the scallops were outstanding. And, of course, the breakfast which is included...
The Inner Banks Inn is definitely a location that I will return to. The accommodations are exquisite and immaculately clean in a quaint location with a lovely staff that made my visit even more wonderful. This place is an ideal location to hold an event such as a wedding or just a nice peaceful getaway. The onsite restaurant (The Table)...
Within walking distance of town, shops and restaurants. This is the place to stay in Edenton, Rooms are very nice and the breakfast (included) was delicious. I would definitely stay here again. Right in town but still a very quiet Inn.
Our first time to Edenton was made even better by staying at the Inner Banks Inn. We had seen some information on our public TV station about this inn. It looked great on the show and even better staying there. Great location for getting to the waterfront. The staff was extremely helpful with information about the town and things to...
Great location, wonderful inn, attentive staff. Easy walk to downtown and historic district. Suggest taking Trolley tour for historical perspective and complete view. Couple of good restaurants downtown (Waterman's in particular) Best restaurant in town is "The Table" at the inn, for both breakfast and dinner. We planned 3 nights but stayed 4.
Amazing Inn! Totally incredible staff. Their attention to detail, the quality of service, & fabulous food makes this a destination all by its self. Owner Susan Beckwiths' hard work is seen everywhere. She makes every quest feel so welcome. We have had the pleasure of staying there twice, both times in the Pack House. Different rooms, equally lovely. So looking...
I would highly recommend this B&B for a stay in Edenton. The staff went out of their way to accomodate us from the minute we walked in the door. They made arrangements for another room when the first room we picked wouldn't fill our needs. We brought a service dog along with us and there were no concerns with having...
Very nice B&B - close to everything in historic downtown Edenton (about a 4 block walk to the waterfront area). Rooms in the Pack House (not the main house) are very large and decorated in an "americana" theme. The main house seems a bit more ornate. The main house has a beautiful front porch with several seating area and they...
This Inn is located in the small coastal town of Edenton, NC, the former residence of author, Harriet Jacobs, who wrote the autobiographical book, Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl. Edenton, while small, is beautifully situated on one of the inner bays in NC. The Inner Banks Inn is simply a pleasure to stay in. My husband and...
I truly cannot say enough good about this place, I have been to many B&B and have never been so delighted with the service, the quality of the amenities and the cleanliness. Location is fabulous and walking distance to everything ( if you want to leave) minutes from the water and a 4 star restaurant on site. The town itself...
Huge rooms, huge tasty breakfast, super friendly staff. A real find. Will return

Situated in a lovely small historic town, the Inn has maintained the ambiance of Southern hospitality. The accommodations were superb, relaxing and pleasant. The restaurant was outstanding with a varied menu and food done to perfection. The included full breakfast was far more than we had expected and delicious.

Didn't time this right - arrived ate afternoon to find town was full of tourists, in early December! It was a special historic tour but that meant that the few restaurants were full. Thank goodness the hotel had a guest kitchen and we nipped up to Food Lion for provisions. Following night (Sunday) everything was shut (except for Food Lion thanks goodness!)
We took a quick getaway for our anniversary to Edenton. Staying at the Pack House Inn was enjoyable. The room and bathroom were very spacious. Upon check-in we were greeted with our key. Other than that we didn't see anyone til we went to breakfast. The rockers and porch swing on their huge porch were very inviting. Breakfast was scrumptious; baked french toast casserole, grits, bacon, fresh...
Very relaxing ,friendly helpful staff, good breakfast !! We travel with a small jack russell dog and she was made very comfortable as well. If you are traveling anywhere near edenton this b&b gets a very positive recommended. Also the town is just beautiful.
Quaint and historic place to stay in a gem of a small southern town.
Although the room was quite nice and the staff pleasant, this was not quite what we expected. We first arrived and were told the a/c was out and that they were putting window units in, please come back in a couple of hours. It was also advertised as having a private patio, one would think it was accessible from your room. It wasn't, you had to go outside and up a walkway to get to it. It was...
We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back another time. Everyone was very nice to us!
Wonderful place. Wish we stayed another night and got to experience the breakfast. Hosts were wonderful and everyone there were quite friendly. Highly recommend this place for a weekend get-away or a place to stay over on the way to OBX or elsewhere.
I selected the Pack House because it's "pet friendly". It is very nice, great location and excellent setting. Breakfast was good. Owner could be a bit "warmer" but overall a nice stay and would stay again.
What a charming place! And the innkeepers are so nice and helpful. I can't wait to return!
The owner was very personable and interesting. The decor is elegant. The snacks in the kitchen and the bathrobes, among other touches made my stay special. Breakfast was excellent as was the service. The house in which breakfast is served is beautiful and of historical interest. The location is excellent as it is close the visitors center where tours are available.
Very comfortable B&B! Options for breakfast in a separate building, fun! The main area of the Pack House was pleasant and relaxing. The artwork was fun to explore. Front porch is also a relaxing getaway! The lovely, peaceful town of Edenton is a few blocks walk right to the waterway. Several nice restaurants to try downtown. The history tour was amazing. Definitely go to the visitor center and...
We spent 2 nights at the Inn for our anniversary. The inn is beautiful, the town is very historic and the restaurants are good.
Although the inn is not located in a super nice part of town, it really is a beautiful place. Clean, great antiques, comfy bed. And the nice part of town is just anew blocks away. A great place to stay if you are just driving thru.
An amazing get-away Inn. Top notch, peaceful, and beautiful!!! A "must stay" in a charming, river town setting, Edenton. Stayed two years in a row and will return again!!!
I knew it would be nice, but it far exceeded my expectations! My husband knows and loves history and antiques, and he just kept marvelling as each glance took in more wonders. Our room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. Guiliano (the innkeeper) upgraded us to a much nicer room even without us asking! just because there was vacancy and he SO wants to please every guest. Breakfast was...
My room was above the porch roof which was tin. Good for sleeping on a rainy night! The wide board heart pine floors are really something.
I normally do not write reviews...But I was blown away with this Bed and Breakfast!! The Innkeepers are the 2011 Innkeepers of the year in the United States. My room was spacious, extremly clean, well appointed with fine art, antiques and every amenity you would want or wish for. I loved the Cotton Spa Robes. The Owners have thought of every detail. I loved their guest kitchen. The Espresso...
What a Bed & Breakfast Inn!! My family and I were so impressed by the value, attentive service, delicious breakfast, and well appointed decor. This Inn consists of three restored buildings. We were there for their Christmas Candlelight tour of Historic Edenton. Giuliano the Innkeeper has decorated the entire Inn in Colonial splendour. The guest kitchen was open to guest 24 hours. There were...

We were unfortunate to arrive at the Inn during Hurrican Irene and there was no electricity. While I understand the difficulties this can cause I felt that the owners didn't deal with the situation very well. On arrival we were given candles then simply left to fend for ourselves - i.e. no visit by staff to see if we needed anything, had food to eat etc. In the morning, in the absence of any...
Go to the hotel website and choose your room. I stayed on the second floor in a room away from the street. It was quiet and and very comfortable. Just like home. Very easy to find. Terrific breakfast. Edenton is a wonderful town to escape to for a few days. Very lovely. Locals recommended Waterman's for dinner. Lunch at the Bistro 309 was delicious. Both are on N. Broad.
The hosts were super hospitable innkeepers. The Inn itself is within walking distance to all attractions. Edenton is a charming historic waterfront town. The breakfasts were delicious, Giuliano is a gifted chef and his cookbook is wonderful. Having made 20 items from it. My friends and family love it. Cant wait to go back in the fall.
My Husband & I stayed at The Pack House Inn for The Christmas Tour of Edenton. The 16 ft. cedar Christmas Tree was decorated beautifully. The Breakfast that Giuliano prepared was delicious. the Guest Rooms were well apointed and well decorated with Antiques. A most memorable stay in a B & B in a long time. The Innkeeper treated us like family. The Pack House Inn is a 5 Star Retreat in Edenton, NC
Overall stay was fine. Suggestions for improvement include morning coffee service in each of the houses and complementary newspapers.Owner /inn keeper are not as out going as most B&B operators I have met.
Just got back from a weekend trip to historic Edenton. Stayed at The Pack House. We were impressed by this B & B. Clean, great breakfast, friendly Innkeeper, Giuliano. We took advantageof there last minute special of $99.00. Best value for your money. Will stay again.
Just got home from a weekend trip to Edenton. Stayed at The Pack House Inn in Room #21, The Govenor's Suite. Breakfast was delicious, our room was spacious, clean well appointed with art and antiques. the bed was very comfortable with a fish net canopy above. My favorite was the rain maker shower. My wife enjoyed soaking in the tub. They offer free Wine & cheese, snacks, beverages, espresso,...
Very satisfied with our stay and the hospitality was the best! The inn is very unusual since it is a relocated old tobacco house. All the rooms are very large and comfortable with a more casual feel than most B&Bs, so my husband really liked it. The upper level rooms were the nicest and largest. The breakfast prepared by Guilano was unbelievable. NOTE: We were there during an unusually cold,...
The Pack House Inn was a wonderful well appointed B & B in Historic Edenton, NC. The Innkeepers, Mike and Giuliano were both very hospitable and well informed of area activities. We stayed a total of four nights in Room #21. We have been to 2 other B & B's in Edenton. This one is far superior to the others. They have thought of every amenity, robes, luggage racks, iron, ironing board, DVD...
My husband and I took a spontaneous trip to Edenton. We never stayed in a B&B before, and didn't know what to expect. We were very pleased with our experience. They had a bottle of wine on ice in the room and snacks downstairs. The room was nice with plenty of space. I never heard a single guest make a noise unless they were outside of their room. There was cable television. We thought that...
My wife and I stayed at The Pack House Inn in Edenton, NC last weekend. It is a historic town on the albemarle sound. We were greated by the Innkeeper, Giuliano who made our stay a most memorable one. His attention to every detail was amazing. The Breakfast was delicious, our room was spacious and very clean, with many amenities. The complimentary snacks, sodas, wine & beer were nice. I would...
My Husband & I were in Edenton, visiting my Mother over Christmas. We decided to give The Pack House Inn a try. We were thouroughly pleased with the Inn. The rooms were well appointed and spacious. Our Breakfast the next morning was simply delicious.
