Help us make it rightThis is a family run restaurant with inconsistent food and service. Me and my family used to enjoy the southern cooking at this local eatery. The she crab soup is my favourite. This place has great potential , they just need to be more consistent . The atmosphere is great every body is friendly, I just want a good meal.
As a southern restaurant, we were so disappointed that the vegetables were not fresh, or at the very least, seasoned. I don't think even the mashed potatoes or gravy were made there. The ribs were fatty and had too much store bought, I think, sauce on them.
I'm from Georgia and have yet to find a good vegetable restaurant. The...
Family run neighborhood restaurant with consistently good food. Southern fried chicken made to order and will be 25 min, but worth the wait. Limited menu options, but food is well seasoned and reasonably priced. Full bar available. Large room in back available for large groups.
She crab soup had a great flavor! Fried flounder was excellent. The best traditionally souther cooked greens (turnip, collard & beet I believe) I've ever had. Pleasant and very friendly service. I will go again.
We showed up around 5:30 on a Saturday night. The power went out, the workers looked pretty shady. They were loud and random children were walking in and out of the kitchen. Food was very mediocre. I had the Reuben sandwich and my date had the Jack Hammer chicken sandwich with fries. No one else came in the whole time...
I went here for a late lunch, so the restaurant was relatively empty. My server was very pleasant, and the food was fine. I had the cheeseburger and french fries, and I could tell it came right off the grill. Very tasty.
We stopped in around 3pm on a Monday and there was only one other family; and the place is large on the inside. The stuffed flounder was just right. The kids meals are sufficient for kids.I'd suggest a regular meal for older kids. I can't imagine how busy they are on the weekend, but I'd go back.
This is a great place to eat. Sometimes it looks closed, but go in anyway. Fabulous food and homemade desert. The she crab soup is always good and try out the specials. They are always a pleaser.
We stopped in for lunch this afternoon. The she-crab soup is thick, rich and very satisfying! The ham sandwich was THICK with the real, salty Virginia Country Ham. Opted for mixed greens instead of french fries - great greens! We would eat here again in a heart beat. The place is clean/immaculate and neat and like new inside, the staff...
