Help us make it rightDecent enough CO-OP store, though a chain, their beer is in the back left side of the store. Pretty clean and easy to take in kids. No one asked me if I needed help, but I'm not usually offended if no one asks me, especially in a grocery store like this. Found some NH beers that I can't get in VT. Pretty good stop for NH beers, but part of me says if I had a choice, I'd rather go to the Lebanon...
About as good as a selection as you could get at a grocery store. Lots of local options as well as plenty of other selected craft and international options. They have signs listing small batch/rare options. Staff is pretty helpful and friendly.
The big one. Largest Co-Op in the Upper Valley. Good selection of beer. Good mixture of local, regional and international. Nice staff, a few are knowledgeable.
Big, and awkward sometimes to move around in as the rows of goods are at angles, it does usually have just about anything you will need on your grocery store list.
Great grocery store. I really like coming to the Co-Op food store. The variety is very good though on the expensive side!
This NH Co-op grocery has a marvelous bulk aisle and all the other fresh and gourmet items that one would expect in a cooperative.
We always make a stop here when visiting our doctors at Dartmouth Medical Center. We have become members to take advantage of the many member specials. They have a wonderful selection of organic and local products, meats, produce, beer, etc. I also love the fresh sushi bar and never miss stopping there.
We have been members for over a year and we can't get over how at both Leb and Hanover locations, when checking out most of the people are super unfriendly. There is one guy who helps bag who is nice, but checkers are stiff...it would be so easy to be friendly and outgoing.
Stopped in both directions on our road trip. We were impressed with the massive selection of food offerings.
The bathroom facilities were clean and accommodating to young children.
Staying at the nearby Residence Inn while my husband was in the hospital, this was a great place to buy food and necessities. Great variety of groceries, meat, fish, deli and fruits and vegetables.
The store is busy
And has a lot of variety the staff are attentive and fun to chat with..
It's always good to pick up drinkables n sandwich stuff while staying at residence inn..
This store is located right next to the Courtyard. Wonderful selection and very helpful employees. So nice to find somewhere to get some healthy snacks for the room.
We were traveling through Lebanon, NH and didn't want to eat any more meals out. Based on the recommendation of our hotel, we went to the Co-Op. We found a wide array of healthy items at reasonable prices. They also carry plenty of local items.
I love going shopping here when I am down in Hanover always enjoy the specials that they have in the deli as well as getting groceries for hom
We in nj and do not have anything like this. Each individual sells his or her grocery products in the store. So you not only have great service but quality products at the same time!
this is essentially a supermarket…..they carry very usual grocery products as well as organic produce and meat, and specialty foods: wine, cheese, etc. there is also a large prepared foods section, and a small cafe. i do 99% of my shopping here.
I was looking for healthy treats, discovered ample selection of all kinds of food with very helpful staff.
I picked up a tabouli wrap for my hike to summit Mt. Cardigan. It was on special for the day. It had mass amounts of garlic, which normally I like, but it was a little much. Still the wrap was perfect for a snack up the mountain and back. I would have had meals here instead of at the hotel,...
This Co-op is one of the best I have ever been to. It offers a wide selection of both organic and locally grown foods and the staff is very helpful.
Gorgeous produce, large selection of meats/fish, busy place with friendly staff. I will definitely return when back in town. Prices for everyday fare seemed higher than large supermarket chains but the quality of everything seemed well above average. I would be inclined to shop here for food but not toilet paper.
Stopped in for a few snacks while in town for training. They had a good variety of gluten free foods which was perfect for me. Good variety of organic and fresh foods.
good breakfast sandwiches and coffee for much less money than hotel breakfast at the Courtyard next door. Walkable and very convenient.
Great deli for a quick lunch. Soup is always available. You can go to the meat and cheese counter and choose your meat and/or cheese and take it to the prep counter, choose salads from the prepared foods or choose from the menu.
They have a broad selection of food items, including many local products (vegetables and breads) plus remarkably helpful staff members. I particularly like the bulk items for coffee, nuts, flours and dried beans.
Lots of prepared foods, plus many staples. This a a gem of a food store. We stop in here to order sandwiches to take to camp the next day for a family picnic when we visit our kids at camp. The food is fresh and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
Its a nice little store with good lunch items already made. They have good sushi! Prices are moderately high on groceries. Definitely not Walmart prices.
This store had what one would normally expect to find in a grocery store. The big exception was that they had a large selection of locally grown items.
I was happy to read the great reviews of the Coop Food Stores prior to my stay in Lebanon. I planned to eat a few meals there. I am on a special diet and my local (Albany NY coop) is one of the few places I can eat because the ingredients are listed on all of the food selections. Also,...
A great place for a quick lunch or to meet with a small gout. Best of all you can trust their food - all ingredients labeled, staff very helpful.
They have really good sushi! Much better than I've had in a grocery store. I'm a bit jealous the locals have it as an option as I was just in town for the day on business.
The grocery store also has a bunch of other lunch options. The employees all seemed friendly and the prices reasonable.
I stopped at the Co-op to buy a few things while at a local hotel since my friends were coming in late. They were under construction so the layout was a bit odd, but that will improve and people helped me find what I wanted. They had a good selection of cheese, bread, prepared foods. The hummus was yummy and...
Far from dartmouth campus if don't have car with you... nice setting for walking around just far for one without car
Wonderful items you cannot find in other stores. I will definitely be back when visiting that area of the state again
Excellent selection of pre made meals for a business traveler staying in a local hotel. Don't look for your "normal" food labels as they is specialty (pricy) food, but cheaper than eating out with some control over what you are getting.
Always found what I needed, been going there for 20 yrs for small shopping needs. Have to be coop member to save dollars or it's going to cost you. Friendly staff.
We are from the Boston area, and when I walk into this store I have such envy. This is Whole Foods on steroids, in a really good way. Just walking through the place makes me feel healthier and much happier!
The co-op is not too large but has nice selection of high quality food.
They have nice ready food and healthy creative sandwiches.
Great place for lunch/dinner and groceries if you're in town and staying a few nights in one of the neighboring locations and don't feel like going very far.
The Co-op is convenient to the hotel and the selection and price of food and snacks is good. We always bring some food and snacks for the grandkids and they love it.
There is a large selection of prepared foods that are made on premises. The chicken salad was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I am a member of the Hanover Cooperative Store, but love the Lebanon, NH, store, as it is larger and more expansive than the related stores in Hanover, NH, and White River Junction, VT. That said, the store at times is a little more expensive to shop in than other grocery stores in the area, and I have to admit...
The food here is top quality. We also find cereals and sauces that we cannot find in other places. We love the Maple Buckwheat cereal. The meat counter has quality meat. Great sausages, steaks, etc. Prepared foods are also good. Nice fruits and veggies. I would highly recommend this store.
Nice variety; if I remember correctly this is an organic brands type store, not mainstream brands. Good selection though.
A place smaller than Whole Foods, but with food quality comparable, if not exceeding the standards set by Whole Foods in the rest of the country. They make ready-to-eat sandwiches there and you can do all your grocery shopping there. They had a big selection of different kinds of meats---including lamb and a huge selection of organic food stuff available....
Nice selections of Healthier choices and organics as well as standard brands.
Staff very nice
Convenient to area hotels.
The Hanover co-op food stores have been around for a long time. Co-op now has shops in a number of locations including Hanover NH, Lebanon NH and White River Junction Vermont. They vary slightly, but all are good stores with exceptional staffs. One notes that staff members have been there for years - which I expect indicates good labor practices....
Yes, the co-op tries to be "worldly" and food educated, but you will PAY for that. Sometimes they have things you can't find other places, but for the most part they are price gouging. Check out "Sterns" for a local produce alternative (cash only). Other than that, Hanaford is FAR cheaper and caries local produce as well.
It can be a problem to grocery shop before eating! If you do some grocery shopping at the Co-Op the problem is solved. They serve a variety of hot and cold food. Everything we have tried is very good. It is a bit pricey, but permits dining and grocery shopping in one stop. The dining area is very plain, like...
A good place to pick up a "few" things. Like their Deli potato salad, grilled Oscar sandwiches, and lattes at lunchtime. Place to be seen, is by the coffee urns. Back room food eating area, is just that - an eat and run back room. Make sure you pay, before eating! A hot buffet table would be fabulous.
This small market is full of all the essentials and a few things you can't find at other places. Gets a bit crowded and parking was hard to find but overall a nice stop.
The Co-Op boasts a small-town, warm, New England ambiance. Fruits and vegetables are outstanding, with many locally grown. The Co-Op's employees are very helpful. An ancillary benefit.......if you…
Closest thing to a Whole Foods out here! Staff is very friendly, the cheese, butcher, and prepared foods are great. Lots of organic options, locally farmed produce. Could have a better seafood…
Lebanon's Co-Op, in the same complex as a Residence Inn that I've spent much time in.
Quality: The beer section is nicely laid out, with beer in both coolers and aisles. The selection is not earth-shattering but you'll find something to like.
Service: I didn't get the impression that I could talk beer with the staff, so I didn't. Generally the entire store is very friendly, a quaint New...
Pricey, but AWESOME. The co-op has so many amazing things, I could spend a week's salary in there. Restraint is necessary. The cheese selection is fabulous... raw milk cheddar, camembrie, and a…
This has been my go to place for both groceries and beer since moving to the area a couple of months ago. I have since made about a trip a week and am definitely pleased to have a place such as this close by.
In terms of a food co-op, this is a great one. They have everything you might need while still being able to focus on local, organic, and natural products. Great selection of cheeses,...
Like the last reviewer, I love Food Co-Ops, and this place did not disappoint. It is a pleasant foodery that will provide you with all your eating and drinking needs. Lots of variety on the cheeses, breads, meats, veggies etc. The beer selection is fairly modest but you certainly will find some worthy selections. Most of the suds seem to be housed in the open cooler units towards the rear of...
I love co-ops, and if you go here, you will understand why. Everytime I go to visit relatives in Vermont, I stop in Lebanon... because that's where the bus stops. Close to the bus stop is the Lebanon Co-op Food Store, a wonderful place with a better beer selection than any store in the north east kingdom (my usual destination) and anything I have found in the upper valley of new hampshire....
The Lebanon branch of the Co-op has the best selection of beer in this part of the state, basically everything they can get, I think. All Smutty and Harpoon special releases, Ommegang (though not 3 Philosophers), Unibroue, and Duvel. Lindeman's Fruit Lambics, but not Geueze. Flying goose growlers as well. They offer a case discount to Co-op members, but you can't mix and match. Prices are...
