We are just completing the final aspects of the restoration of our 72 Ford Bronco with Ted's Automotive Repair in Pungo. Ted came highly recommended from a number of friends and our experience has been 100% positive.
When we started the process of searching for someone that could handle a complete engine rebuild, we looked at several companies that stated they could handle this large job. We chose Ted because he provided a detailed summary of what the rebuild would entail, was honest and transparent about what the cost would be, and was willing to work with our time line and budget.
Throughout the process Ted has kept us in the loop regarding what stage he was completing and what steps would follow. When issues came up, Ted would contact us and we would discuss our options, cost, and outcomes. His candid and honest feedback enabled us to make well informed decisions and move on with confidence. Ted even would send photos via his phone on his progress and share his excitement of our project. There is not enough time to list all the improvements Ted has made in our Bronco and we could not be happier with the end result and value he provided.
Due to our positive experience, our oldest son entrusted a number of improvements to his Ford F250 Diesel to Ted. Ted worked with our son in the very same manner and helped him make the best decisions based on his budget and desired end result. Ted did a spectacular job replacing a bad differential in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has a unique Dana 44 aluminum housing which doesn't repair to the normal specs of the millions of other Dana 44's out there, and houses a somewhat sophisticated hydraulic locking differential. Ted is awesome! My daughter has a 2010 Ford Escape that just started acting up with a weird problem. Due to past great experiences with Ted, we called him for help. AWESOME SERVICE - Would not trust anyone else with my Bronco. I have been bringing my 1974 Bronco to Ted for a couple of years, and am always impressed with the work he does. He goes out of his way to make sure things are done right. Ted has been a great resource to me as I restore my Bronco, and has provided a lot of great free advice in the process. So glad that Ted is around! He does great work, and has been more than patient with all the quirky problems that my Bronco has thrown at me. Thanks to him I'm back on the road...and with a dependable transmission! And SILVBLT is right...he answers the phone whenever I've called, even when he was out of town wheeling.
And the dumb rating thing wouldn't let me click on the 5th star for some reason...otherwise the rating would have been 5 STAR!!
I have had my gears and lockers installed in my truck for years. They are still going strong. When I have a question, during or after hours, I can call Ted and he takes the time and answers them for me. Been a customer of Ted's for many years, and will be for many more years ahead.
