This was a Japanese buffet that closed several months back. Closed! There is a new restaurant called Sushi Wok that is now in the building.
Not impressed, gave all 3 of us (me, my husband, and our son) bad stomach aches and u know what followed after that....
The sushi is fantastic, and the other foods are above the average! The best and the most various japanese/asian buffet in Hampton Roads area. The serving is polite and attentive. Pop in and try it!
There food is good. But the price seemed to increase a bit. There is alot of competion on Jefferson for Hibachi food and Chinesse food. I think the food is great but the price is not as it should be.
These guys break the rules when it comes to quality and presentation. The tables have always been clean, the service attentive and the food to be well above expectation in quality and variety. The Sushi is amazing in variety and presentation as well and I often consume far more than I should. The fresh fruit and salads are crisp and...
It is hot as balls in there. good selection, but hard to eat when sweating profusely. It's 100 degress out people, suck it up and turn down the A/C!!!!
This place is huge, clean and tolerates children well which helped it be our Chinese buffet of choice. The selection is good with the more expensive food toward the back--isn't that smart? The chef in the back will custom grill something for you and was happy to accomodate our 7 yr old who wanted steak and eggs. There's a sushi...
I went there for their grand opening, the food is like any other Buffet! except they have some items on the bar looks like American food, but is not! their stuff clam or stuff whatnever the stuffing looks dark n yuk! The staff there:"" OMG, the lady who clean the bar? she was wearing short, what was that about? do they think that's Hooter? don't even mention my waitress, i was there like 1 hour she never ask me if i needed a refill, even the other coustomer who was there b4 me , some of them was complain about the service too, mean while the manager who was sitting two table down, she...

The food and selection are ok but if you are in a larger party they treat you poorly. They make you prepay and then charge a 15% gratuity (for a buffet). The manager was rude and disrespectful. Caution...language barrier with most employees.
The selection was fairly small but clean. The food was nothing special, just the usual fare. I probably will not be going back...nothing to compare to the Hibachi Grill near Denbiegh Blvd. but same price.
First of all...I think the other reviewer must have been at a different Hibachi.
We went to the lunch buffet. 3 buffets & 3 drinks - our bill was $25 and some change. There was the hibachi grill, the sushi bar and amazing selection of food. There is no way you could taste everything in one trip. I didn't care...
I gave this 2 stars because my family liked it for the sushi. I thought it was terrible. It wasn't clean and I did not care for the food selection. They were really busy and they are really cheap (less than $10 per person) so you might want to try it. The place used to be a Ryan's and I...
This is very nice buffet and the sushi choice is great. for the price they charge, i believe is too cheap. but keep up good work. thank hibachi grill and sushi buffet
I use to go to this place before it was Hibachi Grill and it was pretty unpleasant. The new owners have really cleaned up the place and it doesn't have that strong smell of Chinese food that hits you in the face as soon as you come in. Everything was very well laid out and very clean. The only problem I had was the waitresses delivering my drinks. I had to wait forever to get a refill on water!
You get what you pay for. The service was terrible. My husbands soda glass went empty for the entire time we were there. The food was either over cooked, or had no flavor at all. The buffet had strange things on there. The Hibachi Grill had very little selection and very little of what little selection they had in the pans. Maybe that was on purpose to ration people from loading up. ...
