The location was right, but all the lodging here was way overpriced (college family weekend?) This one was the least offensive in their pricing.\n\nIt was quite noisy. Traffic in the hall and footsteps in rooms above were loud...seemed to be minimal sound insullation used during construction.\n\nThe room was clean and free of odors. Basic accomodations and comfortable. Worth every bit of---...

I really enjoyed my visit to Salem. I am a loyal Holiday Inn Priority Club member, but with Division 3 basketball tournament in the Salem area, it was difficult to find a room. This Super 8 is located exactly where I want to be in relation to family and friends in the Salem area. I was pleasantly surprised at how...

The room had that terrible antiseptic smell, everywhere. So did the towels. There was a mercury vapor light in the parking lot that shone through around the drapes all night long. The bedding was third rate: spotted, cheap, and the pillows were flat and hard from use. There was no elevator to the upper floors, so I had to shlep...

We booked this room at the last minute, after we arrived in town and discovered every other hotel in the Roanoke area was booked. It was a perfectly adequate room in a quiet part of town so we were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The facility is dated and the breakfast offerings were not particularly palatable, but there was free...

Great location and accessibility off I-81. Young man operating the desk was helpful and courteous. A barking dog in a 1st 1st floor room while inspecting a room before making a commitment was bit unsettling. . . . the 2nd floor was better with plenty of privacy and relatively quiet. A basic continental breakfast was probably the only bright star....

A friend and I stayed one night here after transferring from a sister Super 8 location in Roanoke to get closer to Moyer Sports Complex. They both were clean and suitable stays. The non-smoking room was very clean; we where happy about that.\n\nThe breakfast nook in the hotel lobby was about average for this class of budget motel with only 2 small 2-person tables.
