Overall a good experience -- decent stay and not much negative to say -- other than the hotel is showing its age and could benefit from some basic improvements -- carpets, door locks, towels. Not a bad place, just a perfectly 'okay' experience.

Make sure to look for oceanfront rooms. The description on my reservation did not show show room types and pics on the hotel's website leads you to believe it is nicer than it is. Very clean room with plenty of space. Very comfortable and right on the beach. Great central location for food and attractions. Our favorite place to stay in the Outer Banks. We will definitely be back.

Nice overnight stay

Overall I enjoyed my stay, however my room was located on the first floor next to the ice machine which made it noisy with the sounds of ice dropping throughout the night. The room has a damp , moldy odor which made the room uncomfortable . As a one night stay it was okay but I could not see staying for more than a day.

The hotel is on the beach\n\nWe stayed in one of the oceanside rooms. We had 2 queen beds, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a balcony with a view of the parking lot. The room was a little older, however, it was clean. The hotel itself was well maintained. The location cannot be beat - the hotel is on the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
