A casual, self-contained resort on the beach.

This property is a community unto itself, offering everything needed for business and pleasure in a pretty oceanfront setting. With its diverse offering of accommodations, its clientele ranges from weekending couples to families needing lots of space. There are four main sections to this resort. The Main Inn, The North Inn and The South Inn were built between 1985 and 1994. The Station Bay...

We had been visiting Duck, Corolla for 15 years and always just passed by the Sanderling. With this resort rated as a 4 Diamond resort I guess I expected more. An e-deal gave us cause to stop in...

This is a spa review. We decided to do a girls day at the spa. I'll start by saying we were all happy with the services we received here (haircut, massages, facials) but the spa atmosphere...

To begin, I wish that Yelp allowed for 1/2 stars because this would be a solid 3 and 1/2 stars for me. This review is based on paying more than $400 a night plus $25 a day resort fees, so what may...

Loved this place. The Sanderling is a huge resort located right on the OBX, and I found the place to be pristine and hospitable. While it's an "older" hotel, I know they are undergoing massive...

Just stayed here in early June, loved the resort. Like others have said it's away from the touristy areas of the Outer Banks. If that's what you want, then this is perfect. I'm over the...

Between being locked out on our balcony in 45˚ by a broken lock and the loud spa staff and being told renovations to the spa were complete when they were still ongoing and having a female staff member walk in me ( I'm Male) in the shower because the men's locker was closed and managements best efforts to ignore our complaints, I'd tell everyone not to waste your money here!

simply divine

Very nice, a little too pricey for what you pay. Amenities were limited.

This place could be so wonderful but it falls short of the mark.

Best inn in the Outer Banks/Nags Head area.

This is not the Hamptons, but it is an oasis of calm and good taste amid the overbuilt ugliness of the Outer Banks. A nice spa, too.

The SceneThree shingled low-rise buildings and a handful of adjacent villas scattered around the manicured grounds blend in with the natural surroundings. Conference facilities and The Lifesaving Station Restaurant are adjacent to the oceanfront North and South buildings while the upscale spa facilities and fine dining Left Bank restaurant are just across the street on the sound side of the...
