This is one of the must see areas when discovering Yorktown. After a day of history it's nice to do a little shopping. At least that is the opinion of my wife and daughters. Not an overwhelming space, won't take a lot of time to walk all of the stores, but they've done a nice job of creating this space...

Nice area along the York River with a few shops and eateries. Great for an out of the car stretch stop.

I really enjoy going down here in the spring and summer. Yorktown did a real nice job with this area. Enjoy the local food and shops.

Came down to find a place for dinner. The scenic drive is nice, the sidewalks and statues/monuments are a nice touch. We came in November when it was chilly but I can bet this place is totally awesome in the spring and summer.

Went to Yorktown in the evening and strolled along the Riverwalk Landing to watch the beautiful sunset. Ate at the Water Street Grill which was a casual bar atmosphere. Our server Jeff was very helpful in deciding what to try. The food was different - not good or bad - just different flavors and combo's. Got to try something new...

After visiting the Yorktown National Park, we took the walking path to Riverwalk Landing. It is a beautiful, peaceful, and serene place. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk along the river. There are so many photo opportunities. There are several small sand beaches and plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the beautiful view. We had eaten lunch prior to our...

Not much shopping but walking along the water was delightful. We took the free trolley shuttle around the loop to see what there was to do and that was enjoyable.

We spent a beautiful September afternoon here. The beach is very clean with a very nice pier and great view of beautiful sailing ships.
A few lovely little shops and restaurants.
I would recommend stopping here if you are in the area vs driving to virginia beach or Norfolk. Not crowded and free parking.

The Riverwalk Landing is a fairly new redeveloped area along the river in Yorktown that is very clean and has great views oif the river.

Really great food and a beautiful atmosphere! It was perfect for a nice anniversary dinner. We had several appetizers that were all delicious and then our meals were great too. Nice to be the waterfront so that we could go on a walk after dinner. Great night!

Gorgeous views and stellar service await you at the Riverwalk Landing. You can dine outside and watch the sunset as the mast sail ship glides into view. Wonderful place for a special occasion. Blue Plate Special with seafood and their wonderful she crab soup totally make for an excellent dining experience!!

After the Williamsburg hog rally. The next day we went here and found this spot called York pub good food the best you will enjoy. Then a nice long walk along the river beach in the sand then a two hour ride on the ship. I call that a beautiful day.

The beach looks beautiful. The bridge over the river moves to the side to allow larger boats to pass by. Not much in the way of shopping. It is a nice spot for a stroll and some quiet reading. Ben and Jerry's was a bit on the expensive side.

Definitely check out this lovely shop setting along the water in Yorktown. Several restaurants, shops and tour bookings (including Segway rentals and river tours) abound. You will find dining from light lunches/deli, ice cream shops, to fine dining as well along Water Street and the river. There are several quiet beaches with free parking in a lot at the end...

There is a beach with soft, white sand, a variety of restaurants and maritime museum and a Ben and Jerrys! What more do you want? Family friendly.

This was a nice little area located right next to the beach. The entire area was very clean and well kept. Definitely worth a visit here.

Beautiful area of Yorktown! Restaurants (Riverwalk is our favorite), ice cream shops, shopping, beach, stroll along the beach--whatever is your fancy, this is the place. Abundant public parking is free in covered garage or on top of the garage.
We routinely bring our visitors here for lunch (see above) and stroll on river. And there is a river cruising sailboat...

Loved this area, but needs more shops. Visited a shop with very unique items. This is one of the stops on the free trolley. Waterfront beach, with and and shoreline, easy to reach.

Visited in mid-May before the tourist season really opened up. Many shops were not open and some were having the finishing touches put on them for the Memorial Day weekend. Always fun to see the ships and take a walk around the historic area. Also the beach was being enjoyed by many people.

A late afternoon walk through Riverwalk Landing led our family to the Water Street Grille. The lateness of the hour found most shops closed. The atmosphere (boardwalk, dockside dining and cool breeze added to the evening activities. A walk along the York River after dinner capped off a pleasant evening for our crew. The outdoor display of ships at the...

The Riverwalk is a beautiful setting and has a great beach, but don't come for the shops or dining alone. There are only a few shops with nothing really unique or that make it worth going out of your way. The beach is the most unique attraction, as it is a very nice sandy beach on a river with schooner...

Came here twice, liked the fact that it wasn't too sprawled out, couple of little shops with a hotel and a few restaurants, I can see why people are misled about the size, but I was quite pleased that it was easy to walk around. We got the free trolley shuttle to have a look around the area. Went to...

We've been stopping at the Riverwalk for the last several years and while it is a very scenic location, beautifully executed and even has a small beach, there's not much else to capture interest. The shops do not seem to last more than a season. There is ample parking so it's a nice place to start exploring the town. There...

The advertising made it seem like this was a busy center with lots going on. We went at 11 am, but most everything was still closed. It is a very small and modern riverfront development. The town itself is very beautiful with a number of well maintained historic buildings and home.

The brochures made this appear to be an activity centre of restaurants and shops. I was thinking San Antonio. It was so disappointing.
We did have a tasty lunch at the Water Street Grille.

I live here, so I'm biased; but this is a wonderful village to visit. You can't beat the history: visit the Victory Center, Park Service Visitors Center and the Watermens Museum. View the York River and Mobjack Bay...all the way to the Chesapeake Bay- from the Victory Monument. Stay at one of the bed and breakfast facilities or the Duke...

We were extremely disappointed in riverwalk. We drove a long ways and for nothing. Only a couple over-priced stores and a couple restaurants. The brochures led us to believe it was a huge place with lots of shopping, restaurants, and things to do and see. Not true.

Great view from the landing. Lots of seating areas near the water and a lovely Ben and Jerry's that serves really good coffee. We lucked out and attended the weekly farmer's market and even purchased items to bring home because they were so good!

Took a business contact to dinner. She wanted a shrimp cocktail and did not see it on the menu. They made her one, and it was beautiful presentation, and she said it was very nice. The family of shops at the river front community called Riverwalk Landing, is a charming area just below the battlefields of the revolutionary war, boasting a complimentary mix of goods and services that speaks to everyone. We parked across the street for free in the parking garage. There was hardly any other vehicles parked in it. Then we walked over to the pedestrian walk along the York River. I used to frequent this area as a young adult, and there was nothing this nice back then. It was good to see that the Riverwalk is attractive and seems to be used well by families. Nice views. Beach was clean. Several restaurants to choose from. Would be excellent for a family outing.

We stayed in Williamsburg, but spent most of our trip in Jamestowne. Our ticket at Historic Jamestowne gave us free access to the Yorktown Battlefield, so we drove over. The battlefield wasn't much to look at, so we took a footbridge over to the historic district and the riverwalk. This area has such a nice energy. Families on the beach......

We stumbled on Shagging on the Riverwalk and decided to check it out. Parking was atrocious, but the music was good, the setting was beautiful, and we had a great time. If we're ever in the area again, we would like to come back during the day and check out the shops.
