cute little place to stop & eat! Definitely give them a try. Not the cheapest for fast food - but it's a nice treat every once in awhile. It's nice to sit at the bar & look out the window as you...

Great casual eatery with fresh burgers, awesome fries and a fantastic home-made limeade. Also great for hotdogs and ice cream!

Stumbled across Retro's Saturday night after opting to cancel reservations at the tavern in Colonial Williamsburg ($30 for soup? No thanks). Menu was pretty decent and affordable. Service was fast and we were in and out in less than 40 minutes.

If you're looking for gourmet food and excellent service, perhaps one of the pubs in the historic area would be more for your liking. However, for a quick meal that allows more time to enjoy historic buildings, Retro's should be fine. I ordered the dreamsicle milk shake - what a hoot!! The ice cream was hanging over the edge of...

Best in the area if you are in the mood for Burgers and Fries, do not pass this quaint, but prime place for your retro culinary desires. Sit at the window counter and watch the world while enjoying the nostalgic atmosphere. Make it romantic or enjoy with the kids.

Small and cramped, but no one stays long. Order, Eat, Leave. Basically burgers and hot dogs. I had the hot dog with chili. It was fine, but nothing special. Expected more after reading the reviews. I'd eat there again for a quick lunch.

Customer service kinda sucked. It seemed to be a massive inconvenience to take our order. With no one behind us every question was met with rolled eyes and distain.

Stopped by on a Friday night after some shopping with friends. Personable and friendly staff. Food is mediocre. Onion rings were good, burger wasn't worth 4.29, although it was 100%angus beef. Fries werr not good at all. Supposed to have good desserts but we didn't try any.

If you are looking for an inexpensive good sandwich in Williamsburg this is your place. Homemade Lemon ade and limeade, shakes, etc. Nothing fancy but the food is good. Large meaty burgers. The BBQ was delicoius.

Burgers, fries, shakes, old fashioned ice cream sodas ... decorations on the wall from a by-gone era. We were looking for a cheap place to eat before heading out of Williamsburg. Very reasonable place for a tourist town. Very good.

This place was awesome. My husband and I both got a cheeseburger and fries but it was the best burger and fries weve had eating out. The French fries were homemade. The place is small and not a lot of tables but it seemed though they stayed busy. Everything I saw ordered looked yummy so I will definetly be back...

We went with my son and a few friends for an afternoon treat. The guys told us that they were known for their milkshakes, limeades, etc. so we went, we ordered, and collectively agreed that they were just average. Not worth the extra trip for just your average retro eats.

We stopped at Retro's for a quick snack before heading home from Williamsburg. We split a cheeseburger, fries, and chocolate shake. I regretting not having my own burger, as it was so good. The fries were excellent too. And I certainly can't complain about the shake either.

My family and I just got down to Williamsburg and I googled "best burger in Williamsburg". It was ok but I went in thinking it was going to be the best. It was a very inexpensive place for a family of 5. If I just went there with no expectations I might have a different review. The girl that took...

You might find yourself eating here once you realize that Taverns at Colonial Williamsburg have to be booked in advance and are incredibly expensive! That's how we found ourselves here on a summer night after having walked around for several hours. It's still expensive enough, but looks like a bargain after the Colonial Williamsburg prices. It's OKAY. Food is average;...

They have great hot dogs and toppings. My Son ordered a Chicken Quesadilla and it hardly had any chicken in it. My order of Blue Coleslaw was very good but was only half full in a small container and the same with the large fry, not a big portion.

This restaurant focuses primarily on hot dogs with some other offerings available. The only thing that impressed me about this diner was the young lady working the register. Everything else has lots of room for improvement. The hot dogs are very small (and at more than $4 a piece they should be larger). The buns were heated to the point...

My husband and I ate here for dinner. We both got cheeseburgers and french fries. He got the chili cheese fries with his and I got the plain cheese fries with mine. In a place where overpriced and underwhelming food choices are abundant, we found this little gem, an old fashioned type of malt shop. We were looking for an inexpensive and light afternoon snack because we were scheduled to eat dinner with family. It's a decent place to grab lunch or some ice cream. I find the prices to be rather high, but they are typical for a Williamsburg tourist place. The service was slow on the day of this review. It took 14 minutes to get to basic sundaes and a plan cup of custard. I had to ask for the status...

Looks like a small, dive of a diner from the outside because its surrounded by "upscale" type bistros and whatnot. This place has friendly people working and awesome food. Retro's is rather cheap and pretty tasty. Get a hot dog and the blue cheese coleslaw.

Amazing frozen custard. What a cute little shop. It's the perfect location for a quick, cheap bite to eat. Their hot dogs are great (all beef and potato buns - yay!) and the frozen custard is AMAZING - so creamy and delicious. The fries are OK; not bad but not a destination french fry place. But ohhh the fried pickles - deeelish! Overall, a great little lunch spot.
