The restaurant is a delightful gem! The way it is laid out has booths up some small stairs, and separated by floor to ceiling partitions. There is also a long smoky window between the booths and those seated at tables on the main floor. It ensures privacy and is cozy.

Four of us dined at the RG on Sat Nov 7th, 2015. We all had a very negative impression. The crab cake dinners which included mashed potatoes and slaw arrived cold, the slaw had NO seasoning at all. The rib dinners arrived cold. They were very dry. The waitress never came back with our salads or bread!

Rappahannock Grill has a rather non-descript ambience. It's a long narrow dining room with several booth on an elevated platform and tables on the ground level. A large bar runs the length of the restaurant and enjoys a healthy bar scene. All-in-all the ambience is adequate for my taste.
