In Short
Since the Ramada brand made its debut in 1954 in Flagstaff, Ariz., the hotel franchise has been offering dependable accommodations with budget-wise perks. Families appreciate the...
The location, the restaurant attached and the staff at the hotel.\n\nWe were in 3 different rooms in 2 days -1st was on the 8th floor, too hot to tolerate, 2nd - water leak on floor/mold smell. None of the elevators are air conditioned. The hallway on the 8th floor is sweltering;3rd room ok but a/c rattled.
The location and the fact that it being an oceanfront property, all of the rooms have an ocean view with a balcony.\n\nNo really.
Staff\n\nLocation was not as entertaining as I would have liked
Centralized location allows for walking to most places\n\nThe room never cooled for comfortable sleeping, even after maintenance investigated the issue. I didn't care for the location of the parking.
The location was the best.\n\nWhen I checked in they gave me a room without a microwave and refrigerator. I changed rooms and it was still basic. They need to change promoting a kitchenette when it isn't actually one. The guy at the front desk not very pleasant or accommodating.
The proximity to the beach!
The location\n\nThe room was dirty and carpet was too. I had to clean the toilet myself with bleach wipes:
Nice, clean hotel. Convenient to restaurants, walking and marina. Comfortable bed/pillows. Fantastic restaurant on site. Two drawbacks: when others close/slam their doors on your floor it is extremely loud. Maybe signs on the doors not to slam them would make people more considerate. Also, people pushing tours to other "timeshare" properties. Annoying when you just want to enjoy yourself.
Got a great deal, four nights on the beach for under $400 (Taxes and fees included). All rooms in this hotel are oceanfront so that part is easy when booking. The room itself is nothing special, a standard room, all you need for a place to sleep though and the balcony provides a nice escape if needed for a few...
I had a pretty good experience at this hotel for the price even though when i got there they didnt have my reservation in the system..However when my husband and I checked out the African American girl with the long hair weave could not keep her eyes off of my husband which i found very unprofessional.....My husband and I are...
We really did like this hotel - the fact that all rooms in this hotel are ocean front is a big plus. The room was very nice and clean - the only complaint I have is that the bathroom is really small. The desk staff was just super - they were friendly and extremely helpful. We took advantage of the...
We enjoyed our stay and Mahi Mahs restaurant was delicious and had great service. My only complaint is that there were kids in the hot tub. So we didn't use it
I took advantage of the break in the weather to take a quick trip to the beach. Someone was at the front desk even though I checked in really late at night. The daytime weather was perfect--mid '80s, with a steady breeze blowing. The water was too cold to play in, but it was perfect weather for kite-flying. The beach was...
Our stay was great!! Love the oceanview room. No problems checking in and oue deposit was refunded the next day. We would recommend this hotel.
Wonderful area the hotel is around everything, we were able to park our car in the Ramada FREE parking garage and basically walk to everything, clean room, great staff, and the view is incredible!!!!! Can't beat the price either!!!!
This is a nice hotel. Parking is across the street unfortunately, but they do have a valet. My room was ocean front with a balcony...very pretty. The restaurant attached is great! The walls in the rooms are a little thin...I could definitely hear people talking in the adjacent rooms, although they did have doors that connected them inside the rooms....
Smoke poured in bathrm, they'd send someone up w can of spray when we complained 2 or 3 times a day, cleaning people came in n stold prescription meds, they said they'd check to see what key was used, never even bother to get back to us, so bad had to leave a day early n lose money.
I was satisfied with the room. The location is very good--right on the boardwalk. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pool was good, although the hot tub is small. The hotel offers a very good restaurant and bike rentals. While the rooms are small, they all have balconies. It was a great value for us.
Was at this hotel to attend a conference. Location is awesome and oceanfront. Nice restaurant on property. Good WiFi and friendly staff. Public areas were clean and well maintained. If that care carries to the rooms....I'm sure a stay will be much enjoyed.
We didn't stay at this hotel but attended a Rehearsal dinner here. The room was as expected, but it was the food that stood out. The buffet dinner included a nice salad, one of the best prime ribs I've ever had, wonderfulnriasted potatoes, and a well.prepared Mahi Mahi. I would definitely recommend for a Rehearsal dinner or any large party.
Stayed here for a sports event. It was the tournament HQ hotel and provided the perfect location towards the south end of the boardwalk. Check in was fast, staff was courteous, and rooms were clean. Ice maker on each floor. Restaurant on site. Parking is across the street in the deck and was plentiful. Never had to wait long on...
All rooms have ocean view. Interior did show some signs of use, but still ok. Beds were comfortable, bath was a bit small. Staff, especially the concierge, was friendly and helpful. Wireless worked perfectly well. Indoor swimming pool needs to be completely renovated.
I've stayed here for years on Mothers Day weekend. I can tell you that the WIFI has gone from unusable to reliable which is a huge plus. Wide selection of TV channels. AC blows cold air. Rooms are clean and comfortable, although small. Bathroom apparently was leaking water into the room below us so maintenance had to come resolve that...
Room was nice and clean nice view of the Ocean employees nice and food at hotel restaurant was fantastic would definitely stay again
I was trying to surprise my wife and had tricked her into coming to the room. After being given a check-in time, I had to wait another hour to hour and a half. One "perk" was, we were going to watch the monster trucks from our balcony. We missed it due to the check-in mishap, and I sent an email...
Went through three rooms before we finally got a good one that suited what we requested. Then that one ended up having a heat/ac unit that didn't work and had to spend over an hour with a technician while he put in another unit.
We drove from NYC to Miami last week and with all the places and hotels we stayed this by far the best. We stayed an extra night because we enjoyed it so much.
Fantastic over all just s little disappointed in the bathroom - smaller than expected based on description and not to clean but still ok! Other than that everything was amazing !!!!
waterfront view with reasonable price.\n\nnot enough soap, shampoo and tissue for 3 guests
The location\n\nTook 4 hours for them to have a room ready for check in, and then it was the wrong room
It was clean; Staff was pleasant\n\nOld;mattress was terrible;bath very small;no refrig or microwave
Location on the beach\n\nDidnt like the construction truck outside our window in the morning.
Location..right on the boardwalk\n\nIt needed some updating, bathroom could use update and very small.
Great customer service from start to finish. Room very clean and had everything we needed.\n\nNo complaints at all.
Staff was nice and the restaurant in the hotel had a great happy hour.\n\nPool was small with no jacuzzi that was working. Balcony had trash on it and there was no dvd player, fridge, or microwave in our standard room which is pretty lame.
It was our first time in va beach and was very pleased on how the staff was very nice and the cleaniness of the hotel
I decided to surprise my husband with a quick trip to the oceanfront before starting his new career. Upon arrival, at 4:30 p.m., my credit card info was run I was told my room was "Not quite ready." When I asked for an approximate time my question was not answered but I was given the response that she had full...
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The accomodated our schedule and easily accessible.\n\nThe need a business center, the front desk offered to print my document, but I did not wish to inconvenience them.
Do not use Ramada, I say again, do not use this company for any stays! I booked through "Central Reservations" the day I intended to check-in to the hotel, although I thought I was calling the hotel. I guess I'm at fault for that part of the reservation. I was told that I could cancel the room by 6 pm....
The best thing about the room was the view. Parking is only allowed across the street and being a lone and a female I didn't like walking to the car at night. Valet was offered but I had to go to my car several times and my car and possessions are private.
The staff was excellent and helpful. The valet service was great, Mahi Mahi is awesome for seafood and beef lovers. A very pleasant stay.
We arrived at approximately 1:00 on the day of our check in. I inquired if our rooms were ready. They checked and they were not but they took my number to call when they were. We were given a parking pass and use of all the hotel amenities. We checked back at 3:00 and the rooms were still not ready,...
Friendly staff. Rooms very clean, but look a little run down. Could use some remodeling eventually
This was our Easter weekend stay in Virginia Beach and the only reason why Ramada was chosen was that it is a Wyndham brand and its proximity to the beach. The location itself is fantastic but the hotel was sub-par and we felt as if we were staying in one of the truckers motels, not that we ever stayed in...
Very nice place, calm on oceanfront side, only one negative thing - sushi restaurant. Red lobster - awful. Room in average condition, needs some reconstruction and fridge, too.The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I stayed two nights and the service was great . I was slightly disappointed that my room wasn't already aquipted with a frig and mircowave thought this was standard on most rooms I guess not here. But over all good friendly service and a comfortable and clean stay . They even let us stay and use the parking garage after...
I booked and prepaid for the trip over a year before arriving with a promotional deal with Diamond Resorts. I called the hotel directly 2 days before my trip to discuss needing a fridge and was told they didn't have a reservation for me... I called Diamond Resorts back because I had received a confirmation email from Ramada confirming my...
Everything was great except there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room.Parking was difficult because it was valet parking, no spaces for guests to park themselves on the property. Guests had to park one or two blocks away and walk to hotel. Drink machine on floor did not work, so there was no beverages available.
The location was perfect! The view from the room was amazing! Walking distance for everything we needed to do so the valet parking was also a big plus!\n\nThe elevators are very small so we often had to wait one or 2 trips for everyone waiting to get on. No complaints about anything really.
It was a pleasure staying at this nice gem of a hotel recently during a big event I was directing. The oceanfront was very busy and the hotel was full, but even still the staff was amazing and extremely helpful. Rooms are very clean and the beds the most comfortable I have slept in EVER at a hotel. And I...
I recently traveled here with my young children, the hotel felt so unclean that I didn't want them touching a thing. My room was booked on hotels.com which I've now realized they give folks who book direct with them better rooms. Our check in was late as the room wasn't ready on time, the carpet was stained really badly unsure...
The water pressure and temp was poor. The activity room was a big disappointment as was the pool.
All the rooms in this hotel are oceanfront so you wont be disappointed in the view. The restaurant downstairs is good. Everything you would want to see or do on Atlantic Ave is a short walk away. This is a good spot winter or summer as I have stayed both. Rooms were super comfortable and very clean. Staff was helpful....
This was our first time here. We were greeted by a vey friendly valet team and the niceties continued with the front desk team. The room was clean. The room was actually a little smaller than I wished for, but hey.. we did not come to Va. Beach to stay in the room. We dined other places besides the hotel's...
We have stayed at the Ramada Virginia Beach Oceanfront twice now and thought it was a perfectly nice hotel (once in May 2015 and this past week, March 23rd-26th 2016). The staff has been very helpful and friendly both times (especially Doritha Mills). We chose this hotel because it was the best value 3-star option with oceanfront rooms we could...
Overall, you will get completely satisfied with the location and the view.
The rooms are just average and the one I had didn't even have an exhaust fan in the bathroom, so, after a shower the whole room got pretty humid.
The parking is valet which is needed given that the parking lot is a block away.
One issue I...
Location was excellent. Room average. Gorgeous view's . Restaurant excellent, both food and service.
Stayed there couple of days with my child for a quick spring break getaway. Overall good impression, just couple things I wish I knew before checking in: ask for a microwave and fridge if you need them, otherwise you will get none and no one will offer it to you. Also, ask for a room without a door connecting to...
But beside for the repair man, and the valet the staff is rude, and unhelpful. We needed a wash cloth that never showed up; and woke up to no hot water to shower with. The rooms arent bad. They are on the small side, but they are clean. You could do better for just a little more money if you...
Towels dirty , room moldy, no hot water in bathroom and balcony chairs broke , definitely wouldn't recommend
it was a deoderant cap left under one of our beds, and our shower curtain had mucous...disgusting, we report it to the receptionist and the sent housekeeping to change the curtain but we were so gross to be in that room.
Very nice oceanfront room. Need a head increase in hotel resturant to get service in timely manner
I recently accompanied a friend to Virginia Beach for a bit of shopping. We decided to stay overnight. My friend booked the Ramada at the Oceanfront based on previous good experience at the establishment. I've stayed at other Ramada Inns with no complaints. This stay was different.
Upon arrival we were told by front desk staff that our room would...
I adored this hotel. The room was beautiful and clean. The bed was soft and I could have slept in it the entirety of the vacation. The staff was kind and whenever we needed something, they were fast to help. The indoor pool was fun. The hot tub was a little small but sufficient. It was also during the off-season...
Great customer service from the valet parking to the front desk to the housekeeping staff to catering and sales. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. All you had to do was ask and they immediately went to work resolving any issues or questions you might have. They were there early to set up for our event and stayed after our...
Delighted with my stay - the hotel amenities were what was listed and I didn't expect a lot. The difference that exceeded expectations was the cleanliness of the room and the extreme helpfulness of all the staff I interacted with. Those two things made staying at the Ramada on the VB beach a great experience.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The room had a great view and very comfortable beds
The view of the ocean was great. The bed was comfortable.\n\nThe area near the hotel seemed depressed.
view\n\ndid not like the valet parking, bathroom was too small...
Blair at the hotel was very helpful in making sure my room met my expectations.
It was on the beach.\n\nThe no smoking room smelled like an ash tray. The front desk said there was nothing they could do about it. They said you can smoke on the balcony and the wind blows it inside.
The seafood restaurant located in the hotel lobby area was excellent
Ocean View Balcony, Small Pool and Hot Tub\n\nNo Complimentary Breakfast, No Microwave or Refrigerator. Restaurant didn't have published menu lunch special.
Balcony view\n\nBathroom too small
Location and ocean view room\n\nnight front desk person not very friendly
Great location on the beach. Very clean. Housekeeping did a super job.\n\nHad to park a block from the hotel.
Good location.\n\nhousekeeping needs to do better with vacuuming behind the headboards.
Great view of the ocean. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean hotel. Will definitely be back soon.
The cleanliness and friendliness of the entire staff...whenever. .I had a question. .the staff was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend Ramada as a hotel of choice ...whether it's business or pleasure. .\n\nNo..
Only the location was acceptable
Price and location
All rooms facing ocean and all have balconies.
Clean hotel with nearby parking located on the boardwalk. The restaurant located in the hotel (Mahi Mahs) offered decent food at a reasonable price (especially their happy hour even though their selection of happy hour beer was less than optimal).\n\nThe TV did not offer a clear picture. Was surprised that the front desk did not have toothpaste when we found that we had not packed that.
Oceanfront room\n\nRestaurant was expensive
Kids running up & down the hallways all days& night. Doors slamming up until 1 am
The view, the view itself paid for itself. Had a blast. Will definitely be coming back!\n\nLoved everything.
location was great.\n\nThe rooms need updated but very clean.
The room was comfortable with a great view and very friendly staff.\n\nThere is no changing room at the pool and it doesn't open until 8am.
was right on the oceanfront, boardwalk\n\nparking problem, three/four handicap parking spaces, always full , 10 or so check in spots and a ton of valet spots..everything else was in parking garage across busy Atlantic Ave.\n\nnothing else
Staff is excellent, pool and hot tub good\n\nAll t3 guests felt beds were not comfortable. We all woke up with backaches
Location was great, room had almost everything needed.\n\nNo microwave/refrigerator. Might have been my selection of room type though.
Great location, some staff were friendly and helpful.\n\nGiven a handicap room with an impossible shower last minute, mysterious $60something charge held on my card with no explanation (was eventually fixed), generally disinterested and lackluster staff, tiny fitness room, unbelievably slow elevator.
Beachfront Ocean view . AwesomeShowerhead\n\nNo fridge or microwave was in the room when I got there even though it was requested
The location to the beach was perfect! And the parking was your choice of valet or self-park in a parking garage very close by. The on- site restaurant, Mahi Man's was very good, too.\n\nInitially, I was placed in a two double bed hotel room with no refrigerator (maybe no coffee machine, too, I did not check.). It is not cool when you have yo really read the fine print on something basic like...
The room was on the beach. Everything was in walking distance. People were very friendly\n\nNot one thing
We loved our room and location. We had a enjoyable and relaxing stay. Plan to come back in near future.
Super clean and friendly hotel ! We were so suprised when we walked into our room. Everything was memory foam, even the floor ! We had a separate bathroom and a separate jacuzzi room (which was so relaxing and romantic). Would definitely stay here again, no doubt.
We were there for the beach, so we were very happy to have a water-front room. The room was comfortable, nicely decorated. but a little worn in spots. Overall, it was a wonderful stay at an affordable price. We were very happy with the hotel overall.
Old rooms, filthy carpet, sleepless nights from paper thin walls, Wi-Fi kept disconnecting, air conditioner very loud and did not cool room, overbooked the amount of people allowed in neighboring rooms which left them sleeping outside on cots on the balcony, filthy pool and hot tub. I would never stay here again even though its oceanfront.
King size bed was nice. Nice oceanfront view. Great concert just under our balcony.
Stayed 3 days 2 nights. Never received refrigerator as requested. Air conditioner not cooling til 2nd night. Very uncomfortable. 1st night and 2nd day. No counter space in assessible bathroom. No where to sit toothbrush, hair products etc. While using them in bathroom. Blond at front desk showed little interest in assisting us in getting refrigerator for medicine storage. No apologies to us for...
No cleaning services for two days. Hallway and elevator super hot. Too noise..
I was unhappy about my room not having a refrigerator and the staff couldnt manage to give me one. I travelled with kiss and having a refrigerator was inportant to me. Overall, the location is great and the staff is very friendly.
Great hotel, walking distance to shops, restaurants, clubs, and fun park. We loved it!
I really like it. The pool and the elevator were small but nice.
Loved everything!\n\nN/A
The hotel lobby is very pleasant, but the room looked very dated. The green painted doors were just awful. The beds were very comfortable and spotlessly clean, as was the room. The bathroom … The hotel lobby is very pleasant, but the room looked very dated. The green painted doors were just awful. The beds were very comfortable and spotlessly clean, as was the room. Housekeeping was great. Could not beat the view it was wonderful.\n\nHallways and elevator is not air conditioned. Had to wait 4 hours for our room.
It was clean, everybody was nice, restaurant was fantastic, & view was amazing.\n\nI liked everything.
Friendly staff. Oceanfront view\n\nNo complimentary breakfast. No fridge or microwave. Fitness room was terrible...2 worn out treadmills
1 star
The bathroom was coming apart, the staff looked angry and unapproachable, not kind at all, went to another hotel for the rest of my stay in Virginia beach.
The hotel was nice, great staff. Only reason it got 4 stars was because there was only coffee for one in the room. Brought more though.
i check in around 2:30 was a little early but they told me that they will call me when the room is ready and they never did i wait in the llobby for 2 hours watching people check in whit the room ready so i talk to the reception and they said yes your room is ready from a hour ago that was the only bad part the rest was no bad....
Terrific place, wonderful staff and lots of things nearby to do.
Got stuck In an unventilated elevator for 30 minutes. You wanna talk about freaking out! Emergency call button was broken and the management at the hotel was too busy talking to girls to realize that we set off the bell alarm. Had to pry/break the door open and climb up a floor to get out. $800 for 3 nights.... Seems legit. When we told the front desk they say "my bad." What a joke. Never...
4 star
The room is extremely small. There was dust all over the night stand, clumps of dust/dirt in the exhaust in the bathroom, along with mold on both sides of the tub. The trash can was disgustingly dirty. Our sheets may have been changed daily, but the room wasn't vacuumed or dusted. There was a small sink with dish detergent, but absolutely nothing to wash the dishes with or dry. (House cleaning...
Room furnishings are very old. No bellhop. Wait staff at times overwhelmed
This hotel had perfect location right on the beach and Boardwalk. All rooms have a balcony that overlooks the ocean. Room was pretty nice but small in size. Restaurant Mahi Mahs in hotel was excellent. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner while overlooking the beach/Boardwalk. Pool was indoors and small.
3 star
Room was fair. Hotel is old, but bed and linens were fine, towels were plentiful, and maid service were accommodating. Shower plumbing was sub-standard, as was the 1983 alarm clock that was impossible to see with any light in the room at all. The restaurant and bar downstairs was great, the balcony view was excellent for people watching or listening to the band at the bar right below. Overall...
Close to the beach was the best part. Bit disappointed that we booked this hotel because it stated 5 ppl could stay in the same room. Needless to say we only had two beds. When we asked for a bigger room the lady at desk Was a bit Rude n said all rooms fit only 4 ppl. My husband slept on the floor the whole trip. Expedia need to change that.
It was a nice hotel. We would stay there again. Wish they gave free breakfast.
Really nice, clean and comfortable hotel. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to check-in early. Balcony over-looking the beach and boardwalk. Beds were comfortable and overall great experience. Would stay here again.
We've had an amazing mini vacation here at the Ramada! Friendliest folks on the strip!
Smoking rooms do not come with ashtrays. Beds had no sheets. Had to ask housekeeping to come fix. Booked a room with a fridge and microwave, but upon check-in we were told it would be an additional fee per day on top of what we had already paid. Can get very loud in your room from the boardwalk. Wasn't a problem for us, but keep in mind if you're traveling with small children. Indoor pool is...

Lacked amenities such as a microwave and refrigerator, for the price you pay. Great hotel staff very friendly, valet parking and staff were friendly and helpful. Kept the hotel clean no sand in the lobby or water from the pool.
Staff didnt know much, had to change rooms in the middle of stay because cealing in bathroom was leaking water, and it was hard to get coffee in the morning because coffee maker didnt work in room and they didnt have complimentary coffee in the lobby
Awesome place overall. Only thing I can say bad was no fridge in the room but they got me one quickly and the hallways were very hot but nothing bad to say. Awesome place and the location was phenomenal. Not sure why this place had bad reviews. Would definitely recommend and all of the staff was awesome.
hallway hot due to open windows. charges for safe in room.
Need refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms. Everything else was fine.
We were a little disappointed with the size of the room but we had a kitchenette. There were only 2 double beds for 5 people. We managed for the price. We had a balcony that overlooked the ocean and we didn't have far to walk. Everyone was very friendly and we got what ever we wanted from room service. So I would say it was a great place to stay for the price and for people to bend over...
stayed 2 nights, great atmosphere, can walk to a lot of places for dinning, shopping.
Almost everything was great except not having a fridge in the room. I spoke with them and am hopefully getting one. Rooms are very clean comfy beds. And the view is incredible. Lots of places close by. I'm not sure why people give it bad reviews.! Would def recommend and come back again. !
Loved it here great location and friendly staff! Only wish they had more luggage carts
Booked the room thru Expedia. Went to check in and gentlemen at the desk just did not seem to be interested at explaining where anything was in the hotel. Went to our room with my girlfriend expecting a great room at $300.00 a night and was put in a handicap room. The room smelt like smoke. We called down and someone come up with a can of air fresher. It did not help much. There was no coffee...
We were very pleased with out stay, this was our 3rd trip and we noticed the hotel had made improvement to the room and the room was clean, no problems and the staff very friendly.
I do not recommend staying at this hotel unless you don't care about service and don't leave ANYTHING of value in your vehicle.
The room was just what we wanted, right on the beach with an ocean view from our balcony. In room coffee was terrible, no continental breakfast available, on-sight restaurant was expensive and not the greatest, staff was no overly friendly but we were still very happy with our stay until we realized the valet attendant(s) stole my sister's fancy lighter and Ipod. That really left a bad...
No breakfast offered, Parking is across the street (inconvenient) Not very clean. Strong Mildew odor. Sliding door on balcony jammed. Loud horrible band sounded like they were playing underneath my room.
Valet parking took care of our parking during our entire stay
Very good experience nice hotel beach front nice view i love it
Lots to c and do..hotel restaurant is great...if u want seafood.
It was impossible to even think about sleeping before the band was done! Withh youg kids, made for a really cranky stay. Housekeeping did a pretty terrible job of cleaning and making the room. Pool was really small but well kept. Access to the pool is via the lobby though. Tiny elevator, motel like tiny bathrooms along with the rest of issues above mean, I will pass on this one next time. Paid...
Nice hotel. Close to the beach. The staff need courses in politeness and mannerisms. For as expensive as it was they did not offer room service and they promoted you to take the towels and even sheets off the beds for an extra charge. However the sheets and towels were just white. No names anywhere so why would I want to pay money for a white towel. The front desk lady charged the credit card...
They let us check in 3 hours earlier. That was nice.
Would have given it a 5 if there had been a restaurant serving breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful.....
Very friendly staff. Clean, fresh rooms. Great view
With the hotels.com discount, it was a great deal. The room was wonderful, the bed was comfortable, and the view was incredible. Great balcony. However, we had a room right by the elevator and on the top floor, leading to lots of mechanical noise, and while the majority of the staff were phenomenal in their service, there were a couple staff who were hard to deal with. Overall, great stay!
if I were you I wld hv requested to speak to a head person. Thats how I reserved issues & if they dont compensate thats when I hit social media. U shd even contact now even after your stay. They may be willing to mk it right for you
very nice hotel and great restaurant. beds were very comfortable but we had one very big issue as the Hotel stuck us with a room right beside the service elevator which ran all day and night and was very noisy. Kept us up three straight nights and we were exhausted. We finally just got mad and ask the Maintenance Man what the noise was an he told us that room is always noisy because it is...
We needed a nice & relaxing place to stay while we were transitioning (moving) from one residence to another. Ramada Inn was just what we needed at the end of long physically exhausting days. Great accommodations, staff, and the restruaunt was fabulous. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to relax.
Great hotel! Love their restaurant/bar Mahi Mahs!
We found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and courteous. We found our room to be a bit dated with stains on the rugs... Unfortunately, the walls seemed to be paper thin and we could hear the conversations from the rooms on either side. The area where our room was was non-smoking but we smelled incense from the room next door and had to complain to the front desk. I believe management did...
This place is right on the beach. Can't get any closer. The folks who work there are extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The weekday price is very affordable - the weekend price is way too expensive. I'm headed back to this hotel and will stay over Thursday. Wanted to stay Friday as well, but won't' spend that kind of money.
Only thing that when turn on AC or Heat...the smell is uncomfortable and my wife did not like it at all.
My stay was good overall. The morning after I arrived, they had to shut off the water for a few hours, but I took my shower the night before so no big deal I guess. I just think that you'd want to shut off the water in the middle of the night, not in the morning when your guests are getting ready for work/vacation. Other than that, they staff was great. I had a problem with my room key and they...
First night was a little rough because we were put in a handicap room and the shower and AC wouldn't work. Make sure when booking through a third party that you do not book a assessable room!! We did not even catch that we did that. They moved us the next morning and the new room was awesome! Beautiful view and balcony and the bed was awesome. Everyone in the hotel was really friendly from...
Great stay!! Maji Mah's is the best too!
Concierge was always very helpful, but desk staff usually could not answer questions. Linens were not changed when asked, dirty dishes were not cleaned by housekeeping - we had to wash our own with linens from the bathroom, despite the fact that the dishes were supplied by the hotel. We had to pay $10 extra per night per refrigerator and $10 for microwave and a few dishes. Housekeeping would...
Can I just say we just got to our room now. And to make matters worse not one dollar towards dinner nothing to comp for our almost 2 hour wait in the lobby. DISGUST does not even begin to describe this place.
So this place is horrible. You have a lobby filled with about 30 people waiting for their rooms to be ready. They said the rooms were still being cleaned and it would be about 20 minutes. Well people have been here 30 minutes, others for 2 hours. WTF! They don't even apologize and offer you a drink coupon, they just tell you you're on a waiting list. The valet parking people lie and tell you...

Everything I needed - which was the ocean. Work was at Norfolk and the commute was easy.
The hotel and resturant was very nice, however, when the power went out there was no lights in our hotel room. Making the stay a very unsafe experience. Hallways very dimly lit, glad my kids were not with us they would have probably been hurt.
We really enjoyed at stay at the Ramada Hotel in V. Beach. We walked alot and went to breakfast and then we went to the beach and ocean and had a great time. We stayed for about 1 - 1/2 at the beach. We went to church at Star of the Sea whenever we could make it which was most mornings.and we really liked that church and the priest was excellent. We walked along the boardwalk each and every day....

Located right on the ocean... Loved seeing the ocean from the balcony every morning
Great location. Fun things to do or just nice to walk on the board walk or the beach. The staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable and the balcony was nice to relax on and view the ocean.
Don't come here if you have kids...there's loud music that will blast until 11:00 PM. Also they promise queen sized beds but they're really full sized beds, at best. The view of the ocean is beautiful; however, there has got to be a better place at VA Beach than this place. We're never coming back here.

The staff were welcoming despite the business of the weekend. The ocean view was splendid and made for wonderful evenings. I would stay here again happily.
Stataff at front desk and throughout the hotel were super friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean. needed more than one chair and bigger sink area to suit vacationers.Location is excellent lacked an ouside pool and sundeck.

Right from driving into valet service checking in to checking out on our last day, I cannot say enough about how friendly and helpful the entire staff was. Smiling and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable which made our stay enjoyable. Would stat there again and recommend to others!

I expected so much better from a hotel such as this located on the beach for the rates they were charging not trully in season yet. The entire hotel reeked of cigarcigarette smoke. The front desk ...
The motel was clean and all the employees were friendly and helpful. The valet parking was a nice feature that I was not awAre of. Be cautious when being told that each room will be given two compl...
Great location but...............only 1 trashcan in the room/bathroom. Large gap at bottom of door leading to hallway, no refrigerator (really? you are at the beach), very small bathroom, no 'extr...
I decided to make a detour to visit Virginia Beach while returning to Canada after spending the winter in Florida. I chose the Ramada because I had read good reviews about the adjoining restaurant...
The hospitality at this hotel is one of the worst I've ever experienced. The room had fly's in it along with bug's on the inside of the window.. The employee's were not very friendly and they were...

when we got to the hotel, we had to park across the street around the corner . Very Incoveienient . The hotel provided a parking Garage away from the hotel. when we got to the room we noticed there was no refridge nor a microwave. I have a 4 month old and needed those items for her care. when I talked to the person at the desk he told me it would cost me an additional $10 a day for each. we...

It was a nice hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. Bed and sheet are very soft. That only thing is the wifi is really really REALLY slow. So if your going to be working on your computer, this is not a good hotel. But if your's here for the beach then I think I will be a great stay.
Would not trust any of the properties under the Ramada name. Had a room block (FOR MY WEDDING!) at one of the properties that was then sold to someone else, when I called Corporate Customer Service they said that the properties are franchises and they don't get involved in their issues. #RamadaFail #WorstCustomerService #SayNoToRamada
The stay was ok at a reduced rate, but I would have been dissatisfied had we paid full price. Apparently, they do not put comforters on the bed so we had to ask for an extra blanket. They did bring it, but I still felt a little cool all night even with the heat up to as high as my husband could stand it.Also, the hot water never got hot. I didn't even get to wash my hair because it was too cold...
Love it here

Hotel was nice , of course view of ocean great. alot of things in walking distance. Pool area was nice but had to walk thru lobby to get to it.
Room clean, beds very cozy, with extra pillows, balcony nice as well. The poolYou have to walk through the lobby to get to, in your bathing suit or robe just weird. The restaurant was great we have been there before BUT this time the hostess was very rude and did not want to homer the 3-6 happy hour drinks and food special she said It was only 3-5 the manager came and said it was current...
The hotel staff was always very friendly and accommodating. They tried to make my stay there the best it could be. The view from our room was amazing, you really are right on the beach! The only thing I didn't like was the parking for the hotel was across the street. It was cold when we were there and it wasn't fun walking the short distance in rain and snow. However, you can choose to use...
helpful staff in a development that should improve its amenities, fridge, microwave etc.

I stayed at the 8th floor oceanfront view. It really couldn't have gotten any better. The room was very clean and very cozy. I would definitely go there again. And especially to the valet staff who were very warm and welcoming.
Great location right on boardwalk and beach. Staff was friendly. My only complaint was the shower was horrible. Either scorching hot or ice cold...very hard to regulate
Nice place enjoyed my stay . Heading home soon. Till next time

The hallways in this hotel were a frigid 40 degrees. I wish I could say I was exaggerating that temperature but I am not. At first I thought it was because the window across from our room was shattered. They put a piece of plywood over it (kind of) it was about 4 inches from the wall so did little to stop the wind. I wentto the floor above ours and that floor too was freezing cold. I am sure it...

Had a great ocean view and the shower is great!!! Very helpful staff and free valet parking (just be sure to tip).
We had a wonderful time. The room we stayed in was very nice, in good condition and was very clean. We hope to go back next year and probably stay in the same hotel. The people were decent, the only thing that was wrong was that the safe in our room would not lock. We got another safe after the one in our room would not work 3 times.
My girlfriend and I just came for 2 nights to have a break and visit the beach. Wanted a balcony with a view which is what we got and could not be better. Room was clean and acceptable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to leave the car in the parking area after we checked out which was helpful since we did not want to leave the area straight away. Bed was good and...
Overall good place to stay with family great location
Staff was great--helpful, friendly; couldn't have been nicer. Maintenance, not so great. Glass doors on the front of the hotel --always smudged. Elevators -- always looked dirty.A big problem for me, as I needed to do some work, was that there was no internet access in my room on the first day. I reported to the desk, was told to bring my laptop to the lobby to double-check my computer (which I...
everything is okay except the wifi internet access. Unable to connect
My husband & I stayed here for our Honeymoon! We absolutely enjoyed the location, beachfront, the live music, & The restaurant has the BEST wings & hush puppies!!!The staff was extremely nice & helpful! It was a perfect stay!!!We definitely would recommend to friends
This is a perfect hotel for a family get away. All we wanted was a decent place to sleep, and change because life is on the beach, and this hotel exceeded all expectations.
This hotel is ranked as three stars, when really it is two stars. The front desk was OK, nothing special and not overly friendly. The website boasts a recent 10 million dollar renovation--I'm not sure where that money went--maybe to the lobby? The rooms are average and the light in the bathroom didn't even have a cover--not a big deal, but when you're paying a premium at $189 a night, you...
This hotel was at the same price point as other hotels on the boardwalk and was not worth the money. It mentions a recent, modern renovation--don't be fooled by the photos. The bathroom light didn't even have a cover on it. And at $189 a night, I expect way more. The walls are super thin--forget a quiet escape if you get bad neighbors. I could hear every detail--music, talking, and...
Overall, a great experience. The front desk staff could use a bit of polishing, but my girlfriends and I had a wonderful time! Thank you for the experience!
I came in for an interview, free breakfast, very good.
Could use updating, but overall a good value. Stayed there while attending a family function in the area.
Great location right on the beach. Pool was too small, maybe ok for small kids. "Workout" room was sad. Very small, 2 tread mills, 2 bikes. Very weak effort.
The hotel was great, very comfortable bed and great shower.
Nice views attached to one of the best restaurants at the beach.
Let me first say, we had a great time despite being mislead by this site/and hotel. We had been to this hotel years ago, when I proposed to my wife, and stayed in the Honeymoon suite, which was great. For our 10 year anniversary, we decided to once again revisit the area, and stay at the same hotel, which also has Mahi Mah's Restaraunt, which we love. When I went on the site to try and find the...
We enjoyed our stay at the Ramada on the Beach - we enjoyed the location. The restaurant (Mahi Mah's) is FABULOUS! :) The only complaint was I was unable to access wifi from my room!
did not like my view at the first room we were asigned but the staff was very nice and had no problem changing it. It was wonderful.CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK.
The room was clean, but we we're surprised to not find a fridge or a microwave, and most of my groceries were damage. If there is no fridge or what ever let the clients know before they book so they can come prepare. The internet was so poor that i had to go to the lobby to connect, and my son was so mad because he could not connect his play station to the tv's HMI connection bc of a...
The staff was awesome , the room very clean and comfortable , the view perfect, no breakfast but very good stay. I really came back again.
Pros: right on the beach, close to the marina, good seafood restaurant on site.Cons: sketchy elevator service, hallways are like ovens!, no bathroom fans?,
First. the good: The room was nice and the ocean view great. Also, the in-house restaurant had exceptional food. Now, the not-so-good: Reservation and billing issues. The short of it: Unless you want to pay for the hotel's mistakes and re-education, I'd advise getting everything in writing from them; or simply don't agree to any reservation adjustments no matter what price assurances you get from...
My wife and I went to VIrginia Beach to see her high school friend and a Norfolk Tides game. Found the room too small, all the refrigerators taken on the Thursday night we arrived (did get one gratis on Friday), little room for keeping our suitcases open, an air conditioner that blew cold air from floor level upward onto the closest bed, loud music penetrating the closed sliding doors in the...
I'm from NY and just wanted a quick Beach getaway. This hotel was perfect. Budget friendly, and a nice hotel. The hotel restaurant actually had amazing food better than other restaurants, and not over priced. ALL staff was courteous. My entire family was pleased with the hotel and amenities. I will stay here again when I come back.
Staff was great, they were friendly and helpful. Great views of the ocean. and Love the bands that play nightly outside..
The Ramada was a very nice hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and great view! I would definitely stay there again :)
I absolutely loved the view. Every morning the sun would rise outside my room. I was there on business and having the beach view was so relaxing every night.
Valet service is on time. I didn't get a chance to check out the restaurant, but it gets wonderful reviews. Views are remarkable.
Only thing i did not like was the Cable tv was nothing but snow and lines on the first 10 ch.Great location !!
My only "complaint" is that the double beds barely hold two people
