You can step right out of your room for an ocean swim; on winter days head for the indoor pool surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. Parking accommodates trucks and RVs. The 175 rooms are pleasantly, if generically, furnished. They...

Since the Ramada brand made its debut in 1954 in Flagstaff, Ariz., the hotel franchise has been offering dependable accommodations with budget-wise perks. Families appreciate the...
.First morning, the 1 cup(WHICH I HATE) coffee maker was broken, had to wait 10 minutes for another one to arrive:not good. The railings on the deck are old, worn, rusty,I really did not feel safe leaning or even holding on to them:they need fixing before something bad happens,,now the bed:TOO SOFT,pillows TOO SOFT, comfortor & bed cover was worn,,stronger exhaust fan is need...
Clean and fresh beds are comfortable pillows are nice ocean view is beautiful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. No issues with checking in or the room itself which is a big plus for us. We are very picky about accommodations and this place worked just fine for our 4 night stay. We would stay here again. The back decking...
All are needs were meet, facilities was perfect for a small group like ours. Food was excellent and staff attentive to our needs.MK
Extremely dated and not very clean. Carpet was wet in areas and the whole place had a damp, old, unclean feeling. We would NOT stay there again.
Hotel was fine but folks partied until 3:30 and the air was not cool. Overnight staff not friendly but probably tired. Pool too enclosed and hot. Gorgeous outside and big doors won't open to let the breeze in. Great location and awesome deck!
Booked a room here at the last minute, staff was very accommodating because initially the 800 number for Ramada had us switching rooms mid-stay and the person at the front desk fixed that.
The location cannot be beat and there is plenty of nice deck space outside. The indoor pool looks a little shabby but I'm not much of an...
Incredible customer service!! I was in a bind because I booked a horrible hotel down the street and needed to move a cleaner place. Joshua from the front desk of Ramada was empathetic, found a room for me at a discount, and welcomed us with open arms. The rooms are extremely clean, staff is friendly and welcoming, INCREDIBLE location and...
This Ramada Inn is DATED! :( All the paint in the world is not going to change that!) Carpeting is dingy; bathroom was extremely tight; furniture worn; etc. . .
Meeting spaces of really poor quality; AV poor; overall tired. Food provided by the hotel at the conference was very low quality & cost-cutting.
Outdoor space very worn; needs attention...
This hotel was chosen primarily for its excellent location right on the beach and positive reviews from guests. And the location was excellent. Very convenient boardwalk connecting an outside patio/bar/lounge area directly to the wonderful sandy beach. So, so convenient! Great restaurants were nearby in this general area. Again, convenient. The hotel is full service having its own restaurant...
The personnel was friendly and most helpful. The View is extraordinary and the deck off the room was a very pleasant place to sit and watch those on the beach and the waves. Very soothing. Our king bed was obviously droopy in the center as we entered the room. There were at least 6 pillows on our bed - all...
I really enjoyed our stay here. It was close to all the attractions we visited, which was great as we had our grand daughters with us. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Loved you had a free washer and dryer. Thank you for that!!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to visit this area.
Wonderful hotel, great customer service. The room was spacious and well furnished, the balcony over-looking the sand dunes and ocean was fantastic. The indoor pool/hot tub was a great hit and the various bench swings, lounge chairs, rest areas located along the walkway to the beach were great as well. My only suggestion is to not have someone at the...
We have stayed here before. We love the location, the view and the outdoor walk ways. We are fans of the tiki bar for happy hour. We stayed Memorial Day weekend and after taxes, our room was $300 a night. That is pretty pricey, I would say it is not comparable to a Westin priced hotel. We have stayed in...
My experience at this hotel was very positive even before I walked into the building. Starting with Ashley processing my reservation, to being greeted by Jennie upon my arrival, the entire experience was worth booking again in the future. Ron. Annapolis, Md.
Peppercorn restaurant had excellent food and the staff was very nice. The pool and the views outside of the hotel was very nice.
This was a pet friendly hotel and I was in a pet friendly room. So why was I told I could not bring my small dog? I seen several dogs there that was not service dogs. Was...
We had an ocean view room, so in the morning we could drink our coffee on the balcony and watch the Dolphins. Totally awesome!
All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Lunch of soup and sandwich was excellent. Pet friendly too! Easy ocean access. Lobby surprisingly small. Somewhat dated decor but great value. Wish I could have stayed longer.
Nice clean facility on the beach at the 9.5 mile post. Rooms were clean and comfortable, linen were very good, bed was good. The restaurant was clean and nice, service was good and quick but the food was average. We would stay here again.
My son married there and the staff that we dealt with went above and beyond to make sure we had what was needed. Everyone was friendly and very courteous. The decorations were lovely too.outstanding stay.
I took my two young children on a last minute trip to the beach, and got a great deal. Have stayed in the past and my son loves the pool. The beach access is great too. The room was clean, and had no issues with noise, or anything. I will definitely be back. The only suggestion for you would be...
Our tour group stayed at the Ramada Plaza Nags Head for three nights while visiting the Outer Banks. Although it is an older property, the rooms were clean. All of our rooms faced the ocean and had balconies which added to my clients experiences. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Atlantic Ocean was just a short walk from...
Hotel is a great location next to ocean with a great pool and spa. Customer service was excellent to include the house Keeping.
The rooms and building are a little older but well kept. The pool was small and we didn't get in. Best part was decks with chairs to sit out in day or night leading to the beach. Since it was right on beach there was easy access. Checking in and out were quick and easy.
This hotel hosted our family reunion and we were treated by a friendly staff and nice clean rooms. We had a spacious hospitality room also. At our banquet that we had at the hotel we had excellent service and delicious food. This is a great central location in order to see all that the Outer Banks has to offer. And...
There were ants in the room from the time I arrived until I left. Counters were never wiped down, dirty washcloth was left wadded up in the shower, no bath mat after the first night, and beds were never made up.
This older hotel is not in bad shape. I am sure the hotel has been flooded in the past from hurricanes. The hotel lobby was pleasant. The room was OK, bed was comfortable. It was a very nice place to stay for our visit to the OTX.
This is my 4th year to stay at the Ramada and I am so impressed w/ the service and the rooms. I was able to get an ocean view room on the 5th floor and it was spectacular. The staff is polite, the rooms clean and I simply love coming every May!
We requested a quiet room on an upper floor and the friendly staff accommodated us. We were there in the off season so it was quiet and perfect for us. The rooms are clean, however, the bathroom is tiny but clean. The indoor pool was clean and the outdoor area outside the pool offers swings and chairs to sit, relax...
Bathroom small...smelled like mold....balcony door was heavy...and we were locked in and had to seek assistance...alot of flies...no screen doors or windows....otherwise...nice staff...beautiful view!
I enjoyed my stay, loved being oceanfront & the availability of chairs & umbrellas there at the property. Will definitely stay there again.
The hotel was nice with nice backyard and walk to the beach, but as soon as we entered our room, it was full of bugs, I mean all sorts of bugs, spiders, flies. it looked like the room hadnt been opened or cleaned for a while. I called the front desk, and they sent someone who tried explaining and these...
Great place to go if you want to be close to the touristy stuff and have a nice stay. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Short drives to nearby sites. Bed was RIDICULOUSLY COMFY. Pool and hot tub were a nice surprise. Outdoor and indoor swimming. Great balcony view of the ocean. Nice bar inside.
Rented through the 800# and even confirmed W/ Kala the day before arrival she said "3rd floor ocean view". At check in 1st floor parking lot view. Not acceptable given travel w/ 2 toddlers and they do not have a railing on the patio. Stayed 4 nights house keeping = 0. We told housekeeper one time that the kids were...
Very clean, nice, and the view was great. The staff was very good, great location. Just need a new fresh look. The town has all if thing you will want to do in a vacation trip. I did enjoy my stay, will go back someday.
The front desk lady Athena was excellent. The dryer was broken in the laundry room and she offered for us to use the house keeping one.
This stay was part of a promotion we received. Staying right by the beach was wonderful and we needed a pet friendly hotel which this is and that was a bonus. The room was rather small but we found it clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a broken lampshade that should have been replaced by the staff before...
My overall stay was good. IT was much better than I thought I would be. The only downside was the balcony door would not open. If you want oceanfront be sure to get on the 3rd floor or higher. I couldn't see it very much on the 2nd.
Comfy room with a gorgeous view. Called before checking time to see if my room was ready-it was not but Athena switched me to another oceanfront and I was able to get out of the car an hour earlier. Nice service and even got a carnation since it was Mothers' Day. Room was spotless, breakfast menu was varied and quite...
We had a terrific and very enjoyable stay here. The customer service was excellence, from the front desk, to the servers, hostess, and cleaning service. The food was really good too! And great amenities!
Hotel was again spot on!. Oceanfront room a delight, location can't be beat as right in the midst of anything one wants to do in the OBX. Facilities are adequate, indoor pool lots of little tikes so if you plan on swimming laps, forget it. Outside deck areas were good but expect that when fully booked they would be crowded....
We received eXcellent service during our stay! We did eXperience a minor internet problem, but the staff helped us solve the issue.
Very much enjoyed my stay. Restaurant was outstanding. I will definitely be staying there again.
There were 4 school buses and the school children used the hall way like a playground. I had to call the front desk several times. They did get them into there rooms by 10. The next night the same thing happened, luckily for us it was our last night.
We've stayed at this Ramada several times and its always been great...clean rooms, friendly staff, convenient location. Definitely a safe bet for the first time visitor to the area or a seasoned traveler.
We had a wonderful time in North Carolina. This was our first time to the outer banks area. No complaints anywhere we traveled. Everyone seemed friendly and were getting ready for their busy season. The hotel was wonderful. They were very knowledgeable and able to suggest different ideas for our family needs. I have twins 9 and a 12 year...
We had to request our room be cleaned two different times -- we waited until at least 4 PM both times before making our request. Daily room cleaning was minimal. Coffee not replaced. Towels not replaced -- had to go down and get our own towels/bathmats more than once. Staff was friendly. Internet not available several days and when available...
Flooded unusable balcony, smelly wet dogs in halls, swimming pool and beach.
Complained to many staff including the assistant and manager with no changes.
At least two maintenance people came to our room and told us that there was no
drain installed and that it had been that way for as long as they remembered.
There were no other rooms...
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic as far as beach access and local restaurants - walked to almost every restaurant we went to.
Fell victim to Sabrina the Cockatoo today. Very beautiful bird that resides in the hotel lobby. Unfortunately, she put her beak through my finger this afternoon. We stopped by to see the hotel. Very attractive lobby. The waterfall wall was beautiful. I did not have the chance to continue my tour because I needed to bandage my finger.
Came here for my second trip to the Outer Banks in as many years. As I enjoyed my last stay here, I felt I wasn't quite ready to roll the dice on another hotel just yet. I also couldn't resist the siren call of the hotel's spectacular view of the ocean, provided you stay on at least the third floor....
Oceanfront, nice outdoor bar, great seating for early morning sunrise viewing, staff was friendly, walking distance to restaurants. Planning another trip already.
The hotel staff was very friendly and polite. Loved the easy and close access to the beach.
The room was dirty, the bathroom had mold and mildew. The air conditioner leaked and you had squishy water to walk through before getting into bed. The room never cooled down--hot and humid. The staff was good for the most part. Not very helpful with the room condition.
The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and most importantly accommodating to dogs of all sizes. The hotel's access to the beach includes mini decks and lounge chairs, wooden gliders, and macrame swings. The restaurant has an outdoor area but I did not visit the restaurant.
Wow!!! Right on the beach. Great location.Moderatly priced. We are already talking about coming back next year.Next time we'll stay longer.
Staff was courteous and helpful. Nothing fancy but for the price it was worth it.
We arrived and found I had mistakenly reserved a pet friendly room, so I talked with the lady at the front desk the morning after we arrived. I gave her my number, when she told me she'd call when our new room was ready. She gave us not only a non pet room, but a room facing the beach without me asking. She was extremely helpful and our week vacation was wonderful in our new room. My family was...
The staff was helful, the hotel is as nearest as it's allowed to be to the beach. The room is a good size, the bathroom should be a bit bigger. The restaurant doesn't allow substitution, they could've opened the bar on the deck with a band, as a suggestion. Near 158 hwy and on NC 12 road.
need to pay for umbrellas and chairs and pick up is at 5 pm-kind of bummer you can not spend evening in a chair. lobby has musty smell
We paid for an ocean view which we had but the a/c leaked all over the balcony & we had to keep using hotel towels to wipe it up so that we could sit out there & not get our shoes or feet wet. The swimming pool staff did not keep clean towels available. It took 30 minutes for staff to bring clean/dry towels. Staff did not put ice bags in the ice bucket. Toilets were questionable. Staff not good...
The stay was nice at the Ramada Plaza..one side is beach front one side isn't so make sure you book ocean front!!..room was clean and the restaurant attached was great..we stayed at the beach all day and had dinner brought to us by restaurant below..in the kill devil hills area I would say this is one of the nicest places to stay!!
Second stay in 2 years. Pool could be cleaner for high usage and hotel staff could better enforce pool rules which some guests simply ignored.
Really enjoyed the stay. Hotel room was comfortable and it was great for my toddler and teenager. We were pleasantly surprised.
Weather was perfect. Water was beautiful! Enjoyed our stay!!
I loved being able to sit out the balcony and listen to the waves crash on the shore. The amenities were nice also. The pool was a perfect temperature. However, the hot tub was not "hot". It was the same temperature of the pool. Overall, we had a great experience.
My family stayed here last year,we loved so much we came back. The layout of the hotel is great, very clean, staff eager to please. The beach was awesome, not over crowded. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance also,so location was important.Hotel has a pool, hot tub,bar/restaurant on premises.
Our bed was comfortable. The room was clean. I liked the deck and tiki bar. Be sure to say hello to Sabrina.
We generally enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was clean and comfortable, but not overly generous on space, especially for the price. The room did have a small refrigerator and a microwave, though it did not have a good coffee machine, just a single-cup machine that uses coffee pods (but not the K-cup variety). The staff gave good recommendations on local restaurants. We ate at all three of...
This was our third stay at this excellent hotel. This was a short beach get away for our family of 4. The atmosphere here is family friendly, the beds are comfortable with wonderful pillows, you are steps away from a gorgeous ocean view, and the salt water pool is a great way to unwind as well. We have also visited Peppercorns Restaurant on site and the food is always top notch! Nothing bad on...
Mini Beach Getaway with children ages 9 and 15. Hotel is close to shopping, restaurants, piers, mini golf, etc... Family friendly, indoor pool, nice beach with easy access.
Check-in was quick, the staff were friendly, and made our stay very enjoyable.
hotel provided accurate directions and drive time that made trip easier. The location was as described with no surprises and great weather
Front staff and access to beach excellent. Nice outside bar. Bed could have been little more comfortable and updating to different more quiet Ac would make a huge difference. Overall nice stay
You need to ask for ocean facing rooms. Street facing rooms not worth the money you pay.
Family of five and we had a nice time. Indoor pool and jacuzzi were great. Front desk got us in 2 hours early. Hotel has plenty of beach just a few steps away and location is good. Will probably try to book it next time we go.
This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. The first time we stayed, we loved everything about our stay. This time however, we didn't realize we were booked into a "pet friendly" room, which resulted in being awaked at 6:30 by a barking dog, which was constant for over an hour, presumably while the owners went to breakfast. Although I understand some people's need to take their pets on...
The whole experience was terrible. I booked my ocean view room two weeks prior only to get there and be told that they overbooked and I had to have a room looking out to a sand dune. This was for my birthday and was my very first time being at the outer banks. I was told that they were holding a room for me at the Hilton so I go back across town only to find out that they miscommunicated and...
Overall the hotel wasn't that bad. It's an older Ramada, but right on the beach. The beds were terrible. Very worn. It felt like I was sleeping on a slope. We were only there 1 night. Thank goodness because I would've had to ask for another room. The staff were very nice. Everyone would say good morning and hi as they saw you.
Spend five nights in June 2015. Rooms were clean and all equipment worked well. . Pool area was well kept and well supplied with beach towels. Patio bar and food service was friendly and menu was interesting and varied. I ate most of my meals either on the patio or in the restaurant because it was easier for me and I loved the food. The many different levels of the deck allowed for sunbathing...
Room is ok pretty standard people at front desk did not even bother to smile and wish
Nice location. Mix up at checkin and the gave us a used room. Room was ok .
we got oceanview rooms and had been told we would get cityview. well laid out with deck to beach off of second floor lobby. beautiful beach and deck. near wright memorial.
We stayed 3 days and although we did not stay at the room very much, when we were there it was pleasing. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had a small WIFI and plumbing problem, both were seen to quickly and efficiently. Neither problem had a impact on our stay. We would stay there again if in the area.
Enjoyed the wonderful facilities. This hotel had everything we could ask for: indoor pool, hot tub, restaurant, and friendly staff. We might even bring our dog next time because this hotel allows pets on the bottom level. My wife and I enjoyed a satisfying breakfast both mornings of our stay. No reason to stand in line at any of the outside restaurants. We would recommend this hotel to our...
My experience with this hotel was excellent. The rooms were very clean and the staff were friendly. It was right on the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family.
The room was not ready until 4:00pm
I absolutely love this hotel! The staff is so wonderful, the service is excellent, the rooms are beautiful, and the amenities are fabulous!!! Will definitely stay here every time we come to the outer banks!!
5 star
Clean, friendly
We enjoyed 2 nights here. Have stayed many places, but stayed here as I was doing a local race with friends and the after party was at the Ramada. The way the decking allows smaller seating areas was wonderful and the beach chairs that were available was great.
Excellent Value, especially for a beach hotel. Clean, roomy and right on the ocean. Ocean View rooms (unless you are on the 3rdor 4th floor) are not worth the additional price because of a high sea sand sea wall. Staff was a little abrupt but we liked.
5 star
Enjoyed celebrating my son's birthday with the stay at Ramada on the Outer Banks! Our room was next to the indoor heated pool and hot tub! The short walk to the beach was awesome to enjoy the lovely sunrises, sand and ocean!
Short and sweet.
Staff was wonderful. James, especially, greeted us with warmth and such an cheerful attitude, and continued to be so attentive throughout our stay.
We didn't have hot water the whole time we stayed.
Night front desk person rude
Just a little crowded, didn't realize it was the week of the annual bike week in the Outer Banks, stay was enjoyable, couldn't visit any of our old haunts because of the riders taking over, but all in all a good time. Guess there was room for all.
The hotel was fine , clean with a nice staff. However we booked a room for 5 people. The room had two queen beds and no fold out couch so we had to rent a cot from them for an extra $10 a night for the fifth person. I don't think we should have had the added expense when the room description said it slept five. Also the hotel offered no suites. Families can get the extra room from other hotels...
We were pleasantly surprised to find our room had an ocean view. Easy walk to the beach. Close to everything, drove up and down the coast.
Cleaning Staff and others were slammed but worked hard to get rooms ready and people happy.
Nice hotel, right on beach, centrally located to many attractions.
Our stay was short and sweet. The hotel staff was very accommodating. We got to the hotel very early and there were no rooms clean but the staff cleaned a room and called when it was ready. We were able to check in hours early! Bathroom was clean however, the shower could have used a little updating! Overall great stay!
My family and I stayed here for my daughter birthday week. We brought our dog along too. The only pet friendly rooms are on the 1st floor so with the sand dunes there is no view at all. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was great. Peppercorn's dining in hotel had good breakfast we didn't eat dinner or lunch here because of American Pie Pizza across the street had real good food that the girls...

my kids(4&8) and I stayed here the last week of may-april6. the weather was in the 50s-60s. the hotel pool was a big hit! also Sabrina the bird at the front desk! We stayed on the 5th floor oceanfront. it was amazing views. we would stay here again! Ganeiva one of the hotel staff was a very big help and very friendly!
I have many suggestions for the manager. If this were a 2 star and i didn't pay so much for the room, it would be different. But i expect more for the price. There was not enough hot water to showe...
We have stayed here several times and always found this to be a wonderful hotel with excellent rooms and service but had a problem on this stay.Checked in on Sunday afternoon and when showering be...
First time staying there, our stay was great! Will be going back next year! Great room and staff!
Price.\n\nCleanliness. Smell in room.\n\nDid not consider it a 3 1/2 star as you represented.

The room was nice and the staff was outstanding -- friendly and helpful. The restaurant was quite good, and so convenient, even though the breakfast wasn't free at this hotel.\n\nUnfortunately, our room was right across from the elevator and quite close to the meeting rooms, so there was a lot of noise.\n\nIt was nice having an indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel was close to most things we...
Coming here for breakfast as a customer of the hotel was great-quick service, food came out in a timely manner and was hot and delicious. Based on this, we decided to come for dinner and our...

It was on the beach.\n\nIndoor pool was being drained and cleaned, no exercise room. It was the off season and the hotel was WAY under capacity but I still was given a room facing the street, not the ocean.
Staff was excellent,..\n\nOcean view blocked by dunes and weeds, not enoughtowels, no walk to restaurants, shops, pool closed to early, furniture stained.\n\nLounge was friendly and reasonable rates, not enough towels in the pool area or the room.
convenience and cost\n\nmattresses uncomfortableone bed was so close to the wall that you couldn't get out without getting stuckbathroom wall trim was rotting and mildewed
We absolutely love this hotel. It's the BEST hotel in the outer banks period. We have stayed here about 15 times or so! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the food is wonderful in their restaurant here on site. We are currently here now in the dead winter because it's so peaceful to wake up to the ocean views and the indoor heated pool and hot tub are great for our family. It's a very...
I miss working in this place.. very welcoming and the staffs are great... especially the housekeeping department.. Hi miss jean.. :)
Great place to stay
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Clean and comfortable\n\nNo\n\nNice friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. The restaurant in the facility was nice, quick and yummy.
Location, free WiFi, friendly staff, easy check in.\n\nNo complaints.\n\nNot quite a 3 star, but a solid 2 1/2 star. Higher floor with ocean view is the way to go. The street view wasn't too bad and from the 2nd floor, the street/parking lot noise was unnoticable, I was able to get a good nights sleep.
location\n\nout-dated, cheap looking decor, paint, cracked caulking in bathroom, etc, no easy access to beach, our ocean view room was blocked by sand dunes so no real ocean view\n\nwe did not consider this a 3 star hotel at all
The location was perfect . Very convenient to the beach.\n\nNothing\n\nStaff was very nice and attentive.
Location and staff\n\nAC did not work properly the entire time\n\nSeems to have minimum requirements.
The foyer was very nice & the breakfast at the on site restaurant was very good. I like that they had a swing set for my son- he enjoyed that.\n\nThe room was just so-so. The bathroom was very small & there was a gross looking bug that came out of no where when I went to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.\n\nThey had a beautiful bird in the foyer that you could observe or handle at...
The food was all deep fried and tasted like it came straight out of a freezer. Was charged more than the menu prices numerous times and our drinks were...
Everything appeared to be very clean\n\nWe arrived early but were told our room wouldn't be ready until 2 p.m. We returned then and were told 3 p.m. Then we were told to come back at 4 p.m. We received a cell phone call about 4 p.m. that said the room was then ready. Also, no breakfast included\n\nExcellent location and there are several nice places within walking distance to eat. Little high...
Location of the Hotel is very good.\n\nRoom, lobby ... it seems as if its very old, almost torn carpets, paint work faking at multiple places, dirty spots on the wall. Room was tiny for two queen bed space, bathroom was very very small ... the approach to balcony from room had a big bump ...\n\nMy daughter almost fell and hurt herself while crossing from room to balcony ... there are many many...
Am currently here and I am very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms, the awesome amenities and your friendly helpful staff.
The location was unbelievable...right on the beach and they provide complimentary chairs and umbrellas.\n\nThe hallways going to the room were a bit musty. They could use new carpeting there.\n\nThe staff was very helpful in recommending activities and the restaurant was great value for breakfast. They also have live music, karaoke, and comedy at the hotel.
was booked for a king size, gave us double queen, I specifically booked a king, they could not change it. Found pills one on the table and one next to bed. gave to staff with no comment from them. which means it was not cleaned. the ceiling has mold growing. We also booked this room with the intent that it included a hot continental breakfast which it didn't. would never stay there again...
Beach front location was great\n\nI feel that the hotel is a bit overpriced. The outdoor deck was being worked on and ruined the outdoor bar experience. There is room for improvement with the bar/restaurant experience.\n\nWhen you first enter the hotel there is a parrot in the lobby that is not in it's cage and there is a sign that says the bird may bite. That is not exactly my idea of a warm...
The location was great. I can go from the beach straight to the indoor pool.
Perfect location for all Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills attractions. Beautiful beach space.\n\nOur shower and bathroom sink drains were both clogged at check-in. The hotel promptly fixed them while we went out to dinner.\n\nRoom cleanliness at check-in was great. Housekeeping during our stay could have been more thorough.
location & ameneties..pretty lobby ,cockatoo in lobby awesome, parking is great.easy beach access.\n\npool is very small & inside with openair windows, was overrun with too many kids as was the hot tub, dogs are allowed on first floor& we were on second so could here dogs barking..also we were right down from the pool with our balcony so very noisey.no view
Nearby beach and great restaurant in hotel\n\nWhich I had an ocean view but we were on opposite sides
The beach access\n\nThe vending machines in the elevator foyer on each floor\n\nNice, basic, clean, mission accomplished
Contrary to previous reviews, our breakfast experience was delightful at Peppercorns. We ordered the Steak & Eggs and the Wanda's Special. Steak came out...
Stuff is very friendly.

Location was great. Very friendly staff\n\nMet expectations.
Oceanfront\n\nNone\n\nRamada Plaza hotel is very nice, specially everything is in the room what we needed, like refrigerator, microwave.
Roomy, location, amenities were very nice.\n\nThe cleaning service was weird. Rooms were never vacuumed, dusted or mopped. Towels replaced if you left them on floor, and sheet replaced on 4th night after trying two times to get them replaced.\n\nWith the exception of the cleaning service I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was plenty large with microwave and fridge. Also had a desk and...
It's clean and well taken care of. The staff is really friendly. My kids love the bird Sabrina in the lobby.\n\nThe amount of time it takes to get service and then food at the restaurant for breakfast. Very very slow
We just got home from staying 4 nights here and we loved it! The staff was so friendly and the accommodations at the hotel were great! Hope we can come back next year
It was amazing to walk right onto the beach. Great location
the view\n\nthey put us in the wrong room that didn't allow pets after I called before hand to make sure it was taken care of, forced me to change rooms after I came back from working. It was a business trip. Horrible\n\nThe Bellman through my things unzipped on the cart BC I was forced to change rooms after their screw up and lost a 200 dollar toothbrush. Office staff very unhelpful and...

Great beach location. Paid a little more to have beach side room with balcony. Definitely worth the extra cost.\n\nBreakfast not included in room cost though hotel restaurant was both good and reasonable.

Location and cleanliness!\n\nNo.\n\nWe enjoyed our stay so much, we stayed an additional day!
For the amount of money you pay to stay at the Ramada they should really have a better restaurant on site or at least include the price of a meal, although it should just be free to deal with the...
Location, Location, Location. Clean considering traffic on and off the beach. Indoor pool. Hassle free hotel access.\n\nFirst floor has pets. Didn't mind the pet policy, but people should consider others and keep pets quiet. Had a barker near us but only barked when passing by door.\n\nNever an issue with parking. Very hospitable. Love the beach access and location to restaurants and...
We will be returning to the Ramada Plaza Nags Head Oceanfront on July 20, 2014. This is the tenth straight visit to this wonderful venue. Love to sit in bed in the morning and watch the sunrise. Or open the door to the balcony and hear and see the ocean. Every visit has been excellent. The entire staff is always so helpful and friendly. Oh, and we must give a "shout out" to our intrepid avian...
The hotel is in a great location right on the beach.\n\nThe room was nice. The bathroom fan was loud.\n\nThe breakfast was reasonable and very good.

Clean, remodeled, indoor pool.\n\nFor a three star I would have thought two beach chairs would have come with the room. They cost 15 bucks for two with umbrella. Not a deal breaker but I figured a three star which is the highest star rating in the OBX they would have been included.
Right on the beach. Restaurant on site. Staff was friendly.\n\nRooms outdated but clean.
We had 3 rooms at this hotel for 1 night before our beach house was ready and what a mistake. Rooms were disgusting and falling apart. The restaurant had horrible service and food. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Did not get check in until after 4. First key given had people already in room\n\nRoom was nice after all kinks were worked out
Beachfront\n\nNot enough parking\n\nWas told to come back in a half hour to eat breakfast because they didn't have enough staff to serve us
Great beach location, close to great restaurants, nice pool and hot tub. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.\n\nRoom had a funny smell that I can't quite describe - like old furniture that needs to be steam cleaned or unpleasant smelling cleaning products. The scent did fade. Didn't like that the parrot bites. Dirty towel was hanging up when we checked in.\n\nAmazing location. ...
The courteous staff, some upgrades, restaurant prices.
The common areas were very nice. Very nice restarant.\n\nNo.
Location and surrounded by good restaurants\n\nThe water pressure and shower head. Was hard to take a shower because you could barely get wet.
Nice hotel. Nice room. Clean. Nice staff. Right on the beach. GOod deal. Nice deck with bar.\n\nIndoor pool and hotub were lackluster, but fine.\n\nMeets or exceeds expectations. Would definitely stay again.
Right on the beacj\n\nThe pool was filthy. I was not willing to use it.
Pet friendly and clean rooms.\n\nSome of the common areas were a little dated. The street noise was a bit loud at night.\n\nA great hotel in a great area of OBX. Pet friendly in every way and easy access right to the beach. I would stay again.
Great hotel, right on beach.\n\nRestaurant needs update, staff friendly but a bit chaotic.Indoor pool nice, but becomes hangout for teens later in the day,no other places set aside for their use.Teen center?\n\nGreat deal sun. to Thur., but price jumps for Fri. and Sat.!
Location\n\nIt took us long time to get our room. They barely made it to the 4 p.m. deadline. We were early and I was hoping that we check in early. It is bit pricey since they do not offer free breakfast.\n\nOverall it is very good.
I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff was. I think they took happy pills each morning.
Stayed here September 2013 thought would be a nice cheap getaway found on groupon that night our bodies were itching like crazy we thought it was on account of being in the sand and summer Mosquitos. A couple weeks later bites and itching got worse even though we weren't outside we investigated further and found bed bugs brought from the hotel and management doesn't want to help, do anything...
We had breakfast here three times during our stay at the Ramada. On days one and three, we got the same things: Eggs Benedict and fried eggs. The Eggs...
We stayed here March 2013. When first pulling back the sheets we noticed dark brown stains then we saw a bed bug crawling in between the comforter and the sheet. Horrible treatment from management-even showed them a picture-Room 321
We stayed for one night on august 19, 2012 and my husband and young son were bitten all over by bed bugs. I raced my son to the doctor thinking he had chicken pox because his welts looked so terrible and she told us they were bites from bed bugs.
On Feb 10, 2012, the County Health Inspectors and the State Dept of Agriculture reported they found live bugs in room 315 and traces of bugs in room 309.
8/15/2011-8/19/2011 I didn't realize until driving home that the bites I have are from bed bugs most likely. My upper right arm has a perfect line of three bites as does my left leg and back of right leg. At first thought the bites on my arm were sand flies but there is no way these are ant thing but bedbugs bites. I am now washing everything I brought with me and back to try and kill any eggs....
Took off the comforter and noticed two small bugs that looked like baby cockroaches. I squished them and they were full of blood. Thinking that bed bugs were smaller than that, I looked up what bed bugs look like on the internet and they were definitely bed bugs. I alerted the night man and he switched me to another room. This happened on Feb 24 2011
2/19/2011 - Stayed Saturday night. Sunday had bed bug bites on my arm. Sometimes it takes a day or 2 for the bites to actually show. I hope that's all I have.
I checked the mattresses upon check-in and all looked clear but these little bastards can hide anywhere! I hope to God we didn't bring them home as they are an expensive pain in the a## to get rid of.
