I recently attended one of the speed dating events for 40 and 50 year olds held by Professionals in the City. It was great. You can tell they work hard to create a relaxed, friendly setting. It had been a long time since I had had to talk to women and that night I met over 20. With no problem! As a recent widower I thought I would not be able to do this. I was wrong. I highly recommend any of their events if you want to have fun.
The international themed New Years Gala event was phenomenal! The good was good, the drinks kept flowing, and I danced the night away!
I went with a group, a few singles, mostly couples - but this event had something for everyone! The couples loved the salsa dance lessons and the wine tasting, the singles loved the origami, henna, and everyone just loved the pizza bar!

It's very difficult to write a review here without repeating what has already been said, but I agree completely with all the positive things I have read on here. The events are always in intimate settings and the people are always great company to be in, that's why I continue to attend!
Howdy guys, you got me one amazing day. I met a very interesting girl from an event that was set up in an intimate place. The rest of those yuppies that was there on that said event were the coolest. I got also several tips from a programmer like me. All they have there was fun fun fun. I will sign up as soon as I got back from my trip.

Guys this is the place to be. The ambiance was cool and well planned. I usually don't go on this kind of events, It was just introduce to me by a couple of my friends. Every negative things that I thought of this place
was instantly removed. It was a great experience. I say to all young professionals out there, if we work hard we should party harder.

I'll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive about signing up and even participating in one of these sites, but I have to say prosinthecity definitely erased all negative thoughts as soon as I joined up and went along to my first event, I was nervous at first, meeting lots of new people was never my strong point but amazingly enough all the other people at the event I went to were just normal people like me (I know its amazing isn't it :)) AND most importantly single. You know it is so hard to find interesting people in Washington DC in a setting where you can take the time to get to know them and try and have a conversation about what you have in common. Professionals in the City has made it so easy for me when I'm in DC to mingle with 100's of professionals at the speed dating events. I know it sounds a little crazy but this is something that you have to try out if you're looking for well dressed, intelligent and interesting single people.
