My friend was there last night. As he was served his Margarita a loud fight/brawl broke out in the kitchen. The manager passed by my friend on his way to apologize to a couple at the next table. He (my friend) remarked "what am I, chopped liver?" The manager took my friends drink and told him to leave!!! …

Plaza Azteca is ok. Chips and salsa are good, if you want white sauce you have to ask for it. Last time there I had hard taquitos and they were soggy. In general food is good. Their Margaritas are great. Friendly staff good prices and a lot of choices on the menu.

We have been going to Plaza Azteca since it opened....and have been to most of their local restaurants. Their food is consistently good, the service is excellent, you never have to wait for anything, I don't know how they do it when they are so busy. The only complaint I have is that most of their locations are very noisy....

both my companion and myself got horriable diarreah after eating here 7-28-14. We both had the ground beef in our dishes.
The inside of the place is worn and in poor condition. Be careful.
The food is tastie, the service was good. I do hope they will improve the interior of the place plus the safety of the food.

I first thought their was only one in Newport News they are everywhere. So with that said this must be a corporation ran then a mom and pop establishment. The drinks are plentiful, but the food is so so. I try something new everytime and still love the Fajita's. But then I can make good fajita's at my house.

This is the slowest Mexican restaurant I have ever been to! We have been waiting for our food for about 20 minutes and still counting. I had to come back in and edit my review. The refried beans are not refried (still has whole beans). The fried Chimichunga has big chunks of chicken instead of being shredded. My husband ordered the stuffed chicken and it looks nothing like the picture.

It's a Mexican restaurant for gringos. The menu definitely leans on the tex-mex side as opposed to the authentic side. Good food and excellent margaritas. Nice place and great to stop by for a quick lunch or just to have a drink with a friend. Tortilla chips and salsa will be at your table as soon as you order your drinks. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

the staff is very friendly and the food comes out quickly and is delicious. VERY hot in tempature which I love. great Pollo Azada and Pollo sanora ...the bean and cheese dip with chips are a must and don't for get a frozen Margarita. The kids love the chicken and rice the best soooo does my husband.

We wanted to eat not too far away from Historic Yorktown, VA. We found this restaurant. The service was very quick. The portions are huge. The wait staff is very attentive. The decor is very nice. My husband had the chicken fajita taco salad. I had the enchilada pork pibil. The pibil was not as good as my husband makes....

Plaza Azteca in Yorktown and Newport News - just highly overrated. The portions are getting smaller and the food more expensive. They don't give you any "condiments" for your food unless you pay arm and leg for them (sour cream, gaucamole)... tired of it...tired of the "fad!" Go somewhere else for good food and reasonable prices.

We ate here while dropping off our CNU Freshman. Service was fabulous. The food was delicious. We look forward to many more trips there while our child is in school.

Seven of use ate here and we all enjoyed our meals. Chips and salsa were good and refills just appeared, as did refills on our drinks. There are several of these apparently - sounds like a local chain. I would go there again.

Everybody loves Plaza. It seems to be the hit restaurant for CNU kids. It's cheap, fast, good and they have really good margaritas. I think the food was better a few years ago when I first started???

Prices are on the high side compared to other Mexican Restaurants in the area. I found the salsa to be bland and tasteless. They do not give any discounts for Senior citizens...I would rate only fair at the best....

They have the best salsa! If you want REAL Mexican food this is your place. The food is always served hot and fresh. Not to mention they give your way more than you can eat. The price is also very reasonable.
