Journey back in time with the colonial-inspired decor of the resort and venture out to explore all the things to do in Colonial Williamsburg, the nation's largest outdoor living history museum. The Colonial Williamsburg vacation villas feature studio, one- or...
We shared a small 2 bedroom suite. The bedrooms and living room/kitchen area were tight. Bathrooms were good-sized. The resort is still under construction, so what is there is very new - nice pool, good exercise room, computers and printers, Wi-Fi. The downside of being new is that they are not too together - we asked for a map of...
This place is so new, the pool had only been open for one day. The 2+2 suite we had was spotless. The amenities were of highest quality. If you wanted something (like a tea kettle for our afternoon tea), it was minutes away. Even the laundry facilities were free. Need more towels? No problem? Need suggestions for supper? The concierge...
We stayed at Patrick Henry Square during our summer road trip last year. The room was fair sized and clean. Although PHS did not have an onsite swimming pool we were allowed access to the pool at the sister BG property in Williamsburg. Parking was an issue especially with us getting back late from activities while the property had ongoing...
We booked at Patrick Henry through an RCR timeshare exchange not really knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the location is perfect for visiting Colonial Williamsburg. It is also close to several excellent restaurants. Highly recommended
We took the four kids (4,7,10,13) to Williamsburg. The Colonial town was terrific. The accommodations at Patrick Henry were pitiful. The pool was closed. The kid's game room was closed. When we asked about it, they just shrugged and said they were converting the game room to "a movie theatre", and that the kids were welcome to play in the...
A small resort, with a new addition and pool opening soon. Across the street from Colonion Williamsburg property, a short walk to Christiana Campbell's Tavern. The mini kitchen is complete but very small. The entire unit is small, and the master bath tiny, with no tub, Free wi-fi, great cable selections. We saw a maid cleaning another unit - she...
Just spent a relaxing weekend here and could not have asked for a better place to stay. Number One -- everyone who works here is friendly and dedicated to providing top notch customer service. Special shout outs go to Sal and Wardell! Our 2 bedroom unit was clean, attractive and very comfortable. Top all this off with the unbeatable location...
We really have not taken full advantage of the timeshare so when my cousin retired in Petersburg, VA, we decided to use the timeshare for the extended weekend! The room was a 1 bedroom with 2 full baths, a study, living room with a fully stocked kitchen utensils with a table for 6! All was good except the sales pitch...
Property is very clean and up-to-date, situated adjacent to historic area (closest private facility) with spacious rooms. They have a very limited number of accessible rooms and our request could not be honored. They did a good job of providing portable equipment for room but assigned us the farthest room possible from elevator.
This Bluegreen resort is very clean & updated! The location is great for exploring historic Williamsburg, Jamestown & Yorktown. We loved our stay there & would highly recommend it. Nothing to do for young kids at the resort; however, they are building an indoor pool.
They are in the middle of a rehab and the old pictures don't reflect the resort. We almost declined the reservation after looking at the photos on RCI website. The units are spacious and nicely updated. It's close to nice restaurants
We came to Williamsburg for the typical 'stay in our resort free for the weekend on exchange for listening to our pitch about buying timeshare' visit. When we got there we were not put up in their resort but rather in Homewood Suites which is owned by Hilton. The room was small - just a hotel room with a kitchen,...
This property is smaller than the other in Williamsburg but it is very close to all the attractions of Historic Williamsburg. I would recommend the other if you don't mind the drive. If you're just looking to lay your head after a long day of sight seeing then this would be a good place for you.
This is my first time visiting Williamsburg VA. The two bedroom ,and a very large kitchen that was sufficient to hold my complete family for our seafood feast all the bedroom was a good size for us .all the room had a very large TV good Wi-Fi connect .The family& my grandkid had a get time ,we even did some...
As a bluegreen owners we enjoy our timeshare and travel extensively. Since we're from Maryland, this is our weekend escape. Normally we get a one or two bedroom, but decided on a studio. Plenty of room, spacious and has a half kitchen. The staff called several days prior to our arrival and inquired if there was anything we needed or...

Patrick Henry Square was undergoing major renovations during our visit (November 2015) and have completely demolished the building closest to Colonial Williamsburg (Patrick Henry Inn) and are...
We enjoyed our stay in this facility. It was conveniently located, within walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg. We had a two-bedroom unit, which was comfortable and clean, albeit a bit cramped. Still, it had all we needed and was comfortable for four people. Even though there is a pull-out sofa bed, I can't imagine having six people in this unit,...
This place offered everything we needed from maps to business office to delicious hot cocoa and coffee. Accommodations were clean. Beds were super comfortable. Only complaint was chairs and couch were uncomfortable. Would have loved a rocker recliner. The kitchen is small but adequate. We easily fixed simple meals of spaghetti and soup for the 3 of us. Highly recommend...
This was our second stay at Patrick Henry Square--the last being in 2013. All the staff was friendly and courteous and really helpful. We like that it is in such a convenient location--close to all the major attractions. We had a one bedroom unit with two full baths and a study on the first floor. Our unit was very clean...
Blue green has become a blessing in disguise, the accommodations are first rate and all inclusive for what you have paid for. Very well appointed amenities in every room and a staff which is second to none. So in this case you definitely "Get what you paid for"
Upon arrival we were greeted by Saladin H. And were expeditiously checked in. He was most courteous and helpful. During our stay, in the evening when arriving back from sightseeing, we were greeted by Sal while we prepared our evening coffee which is available at all times in the lobby. He inquired about our day and always made us smile....
YOU need to go to Colonial Williamsburg on July 4th.
Second time we have stayed at the Patrick Henry Square in the past five years. Construction was in progress, which we knew about so there was not a pool at the resort. However, the staff are friendly and inviting (possible the best of ALL Bluegreen Resorts we have stayed at)...
The older building is old but hanging in there. The carpets show that many a roller bag has past but the rooms are clean and comfortable. He had a 2br/2 bath and it was great for 2 people. The kitchen is small and would we would not be cooking a meal for 6 - 8 people but it was fine...
My family has stayed here several times through the bluegreen system as we love the Williamsburg area.
There is currently no pool available on site. They did offer free access to the pool at their sister hotel that was nearby. Or schedules were pretty booked with activities to do therefore we didn't miss the pool and did not have the...
There was a master bedroom with full bath (two total full baths), a second room, or office area with pull out bed and a tv and a main front room area with a second pull out bed and tv / dvd. This was perfect (2 kids) for us. The kids have had bad experiences with poor mattresses on pull outs...
We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit July 7th-11th. We had no idea that they were building another resort, with pool (current one doesn't have one), next door. When we reserved it, the site mentioned another building, but it didn't say that it was still under construction. The construction was a problem in the parking lot. The building looks older,...
We have stayed at the Bluegreen facility in Hersey, PA, and had hoped that the 2 bedroom unit would be similar at Patrick Henry Square, but it was not. This unit is rather small in comparison, and was a little disappointing. It was clean, and the wireless internet worked well, and the facility is located close to Colonial Williamsburg.
This resort is one of the worst we have visited in the Bluegreen family. The unit was cramped and had the absolute minimum furnishings. The bathrooms were horrible. Very small fixtures including only a 24 inch area sink with no vanity counter space. The towel hanger at sink area was less than 3 inches from the top of the vanity....
We stayed here for a week on a timeshare exchange. Our 2 bedroom unit was immaculate and very comfortable. The mini-kitchen is very functional. There is a nice grocery store nearby. We really enjoyed being able to walk to Colonial Williamsburg every day. It is a very pleasant walk past the pastures where they keep some of the horses, though...
We had a week we had to use with RCI before the end of the year so decided to take a quick trip to Williamsburg. This resort is very nice - beautifully maintained, even though there was construction on site. Our one bedroom actually had a smaller sitting room as well as the main room which would have been ideal...
My boyfriend took a fun roadtrip and he has a timeshare with Blue Green so it was between this property and the other in Williamsburg and we decided on this one because of the location. While we were in town, we did actually see the other property and while the accomodations at the other one are actually nicer, I'd still...
The Patrick Henry Square facility is in walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg and also several restaurants. The hotel facilities are great and very easy for four people to stay and do small bites in the room. The staff is great and very accommodating. Our stay was super and we highly recommend Patrick Henry Square for those interested in visiting Williamsburg,...
Got to the Patrick Henry and parked past the information center and had to circle around to the other side to check in (needs better signage on this side.) Check in was easy, lots of luggage carts. But, what a nice surprise when we got to our one bedroom. It had a bedroom, sitting room and nice living room/kitchen area....
Through the generosity of a friend we had the privilege of staying at Patrick Henry Square for a week. It was perfect for the five of us. Two bedrooms, one King, one queen. Two full baths, living room area and full kitchen. CUch pulled out to a queen bed. TV's in living area and both bedrooms. We bought food and...
My wife and I are Bluegreen owners and make at least one week long vacation each year. We've gone shopping in Chicago and to shows in Branson.
This was my history trip. Get a rental with unlimited mileage AND Express Pass.
The location is great to go any direction. Richmond is 50 minutes, Norfolk less than an hour. Made mistake...
The Patrick Henry Square is located just beside Colonial Williamsburg, just a short walk.
The staff was 5 stars. All were welcoming, helpful, and happy. The room was clean a comfortable and had a small kitchenette with a full size refrigerator. We would stay there again.
we loved staying at Patrick Henry square because it is so close to walk to Colonial Williamsburg and we did drive our car also because we went in the winter, but all close by for restaurants and shopping. Room was a 2 bedroom unit , we went for a couples get away, perfect size. we will go back again
We were greeted by the loveliest receptionist. She was able to,delay our check in so,that we got to experience the renovated room. Our 2 bedroom unit was comfortable for 2 adults. Even though it could sleep 6, the square footage is too small for even 2 couples. Full kitchen, dishwasher a nightmare! Plates too big for bottom rack, top rack...
Arrived to a beautiful lobby, free coffee, super nice people, Amy and a gentleman were so nice - all kinds of local info and coupons/magazines and free newspaper
Room was beautiful, spacious, fully stocked and the bed was sooo comfy.
Nice vending on every floor
Forgot some personal items and they gave them to me free at the front desk...
we loved staying at the Patrick Henry square because all you need to do is walk across the street and you are in Colonial Williamsburg. There are some weekends that we come and we never move the car because we can walk wherever we want to go.there are grocery stores and restaurants nearby better easy to access via car. 2...
First time at this timeshare and at a blue-green resort and I was pleasantly surprised, at least from having read others reviews, about this timeshare.
Excellent location- you can walk about 1/4 mile to the Colonial Williamsburg shuttle bus near the Capitol and ride around to Merchant Square or other stops or go to the Visitor Center. Leave the car...
This resort was very clean, more then enough for the 2 of us in a 1-bedroom. 2-friends stayed in studio & said it was great. Everything was close. Colonial Williamsburg & Went down to Jamestown. We will be back, want to go back to colonial Williamsburg & York next time . This was our 3rd trip to colonial Williamsburg. A...
We used some time share points for a week here in and around Williamsburg. What a wonderful part of the country to visit and learn about our American history. Never liked studying it in school but loved it here. Went to Jamestown and Yorktown from here as well. My heart bleeds for our forebears and the suffering they went through....
Brother-in-law gifted us with a weeks stay and it was very enjoyable. Small two bedroom condo , great staff and close to everything . Would definitely recommend to friends . Décor of the property was very nice . Only thing missing was washer & dryer in room but laundry was just down the hall .
We stayed at the Patrick Henry Square with a timeshare viewing. The location was in a nice quite neighborhood right next to Colonial Williamsburg and very close to Busch Gardens. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the cleanliness exceeded my expectations! Id definitely return to the Patrick Henry when I visit Williamsburg.
Just a hop, skip and jump away from colonial Williamsburg. We stayed 2 nights at the end of August , on our way to the Outer Banks. We have 4 kids ages 11mos. ,23mos., 4 and 10. We stayed in a studio ....it was great! Full kitchen, queen bed and fold out couch...plus all the start up things...like laundry soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap...
We came to Williamsburg only to go to Water Country. Perfect location for our visit.
Rooms were nice and clean as was the halls, elevators, and lobby. Room was very small though.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
We stayed for 7 days with Patrick Henry as our anchor as we toured the area - Colonial Williamsburg - 2 blocks away, Yorktown, Jamestown, Hampton, Busch Gardens and finally Virginia Beach. The rooms were fine, - no washer and dryer though - they were clean and well-kept. The staff were all friendly and helpful when needed. No pool yet...
My family and I, 5 of us, visited to bring my son to AIT at Fort Lee.
Note #1: If you're coming to Fort Lee, stay in Hopewell, not in Williamsburg.
Patrick Henry Square had much smaller suites than we are accustomed to at other Bluegreen properties. We were all in each others' way and couldn't really all be in...
Great service, clean rooms, great location and we were very pleased with all aspects of this location. This was our second time visiting and we will be back again. We have stayed at many Bluegreen locations and found their good quality to be consistent.
The price and location were great. The room was very clean although they were pretty small and well stocked with plenty of towels, soaps and shampoo, and even a shower cap in each bathroom if you were in need of such an item.\n\nThe staff was helpful and polite although when I checked in there was no one at the front desk and I had to wait about 5-10 min for someone to show up.\n\nIts not as...

We felt like it was very clean. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and had plenty of room.
\n\n
The couch was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I would definitely not wanted to spend much time on it. The doors that connected the two rooms seemed quite ackward.
It was a very nice suite. Had all the essentials to make a meal and
plenty of space to eat. It was very close to Williamsburg tourist area.
Also close to the parks and shopping.
\n\n
The pool had too much chlorine. Could not stay in pool.
Fabulous rooms. The "studio" was huge and the suite was
amazing. You could walk to downtown Williamsburg.
\n\n
Pool four miles away due to renovation. No restaurant for breakfast and
the pancake house down the road was horrible.
Value and convenient location to Historical Williamsburg.
\n\n
Having to pay for maid service.
Very nice place, peaceful, very affordable and elegant.
\n\n
No free wifi internet.
Plenty of space for the family. Great for kids to have their own room.
\n\n
Pool was closed, but we did not know until we got there. Rooms do not have much natural light.
Großes Apartment, gut ausgestattet, freundliches Personal an Rezeption
The apartment style rooms were great. I didn't know it had been sold by Best Western, so it was a bit different from the last time I stayed there.
\n\n
The lack of food availability was a little disappointing. The breakfast from Best Western wasn't great, but it was easy and fast. Going down the street took a lot of time, it was expensive - even with the voucher - and we got a very late...
at and hot water was terribleI liked the room size and the two full bathes.
\n\n
the heat and hot water was terrible.
I loved everything about this hotel it is only 10 mins away from
Busch gardens. Everything was close by grocery stores, fast food,
gas stations. The staff are very welcoming and the ppl staying was
also friendly.
\n\n
That the pool was under construction.
hard sell attempt at buying vacation time share
We were just at the Patrick Henry for the Grand Illumination. I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the other reviews but the price ($64) was much better than other places so we took a chance. I think they have done some work because we found our room to be clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was fine and everyone was really friendly. The General Manager had a reception on...
We are a family of 7...5 girls ages from 7-17, so we look for activites to keep all of them busy and happy as possible. We went to VA Beach, Busch Gardens and Water Country. The hotel staff were extremly friendly and made the invironment family-friendly!! Helped with good places to eat and directions to those places. The discount to local pancake house was great and so was the service and...
Closeness to attractions.\n\nNot clean enough, no incentives or deals.\n\nI would most likely not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
It was a good price.\n\nThe room was very plain, the elevator was HOT, only one working, no ice on my floor.
Location wasnear Historic Williamsburg.\n\nDirty, furniture in poor condition, did not respond to request for repair of air conditioner until 2nd request.\n\nDon't walk barefoot in public areas or even the room. In dire need of updates, cleaning, painting, new curtains, new carpets, new air conditioners, learn to respond to repair requests within the same day as requested. Not at all pleased.
It was convenient to Colonial Williamsburg.\n\nPool was in disrepair, no fitness room, no wifi in the rooms and a charge if you sat in their lobby.
Just got home from our trip to williamsburg and I just haft to say that we really enjoyed our stay at the Patrick Henry. Rooms were clean and spacious, bathroom a bit small but still nice. Pool was clean and not to busy. My only complaint was that most of the attractions did not open till 10am and breakfest was served till 10am as well, and the cleaning staff was banging on the door at 9...
So close to the historic area. Our car never moved. Clean and comfortable. Good value and free breakfast.
I stayed in this hotel whenever my school group went on a trip to Williamsburg. From the outside, it looked normal. Inside was horrifying. I've stayed in some gross hotels, but this was by far the worst. The door and walls both had holes in them, and the room just really didn't look clean at all. We found garbage behind the cabinet, and the comforter looked dingy. In a meeting room...
I bought the vacation deal at a Bass Pro Shop and I can honestly say that my stay at this hotel ranks up there with some of my worst stays. Shortly after we checked into our rooms I found a bag filled with brown dirty, stinking underwear behind the refrigerator. I brought it to the attention of the Assistant Manager and all he said was sorry. Thanks! That is all the desk clerks could say...
The hotel is in a great location, but the place is a dump. It sorely needs renovation. The hotel also lacks any kind of security. You wouldn't think that you would need security in Williamsburg, but remember, this is a tourist town. My kids were physically threatened by other guests children when they went to get a soda from the soda machine. Learn from my lesson - spend the extra money to...
We stayed there early May 2008.
Hotel is in huge need of renovation. Carpets are sticky, gross. Rooms are outdated.
Corridors are in disrepair.
Sheets were clean, but kept slipping off, exposing the mattress!
However, the location is fantastic, as you can walk half a block and you're right in Colonial Williamsburg. I would still suggest finding a more modern place.
The following is an online definition of Continental Breakfast from Wikipedia:
Continental breakfast
Continental breakfast is an institutional meal plan based on lighter Mediterranean breakfast traditions. It is a light meal meant to satisfy one until lunch. A typical Continental breakfast consists of coffee and milk (often mixed as Cappuccino or latte) or hot chocolate with a variety of...
Whatever the minimum requirement for "Continental Breakfast" is, I still don't think they met it, it was horrible. Best Western should demand that their name be taken off this listing to avoid embarassment to my chain. This is not a Best Western property. This is a Dump!
All of the accommodations were excellent and the staff was very nice and courteous! We loved the treatement we received and appreciated being treated like newly weds on our Valentines Days stay. We are definitely going to stay here again!
What happen to a great hotel - I have stayed a number of times at this hotel and my stay this Sept 2006 was awful - After a 4 hour ride to the hotel -at check in - I had to stay and listen to a timeshare talk - just what I wanted to do - When I finally got to my room - the toilet was broken - I was moved to another room - it was dirty and the furniture was damaged - there were tons of cobwebs...
The place was bearable. What they are not telling you is that it is no longer called Best WEstern it was sold to Bluegreen which is a time share/vacation share and it is under renovation. So they will try to convince you to buy vacation share under pressure. The room we stayed in was cleaned. There were vacationers who had molded rooms with fouled smells. Let's hope you luck up and get a nice...
We had a bad experience at the Quarterpath Inn down the road so we hunted for another place...We found the Patrick Henry Inn. We got a king size room for only 10 dollars more than the hole down the street. The AC worked wonderfully, it was super clean and the cleaning crew even put away some of our belongings that had fallen out of a small bag into a million little pieces...I would recommend...
The only thing we liked was the walking distance to the historic area so we could leave our car in the lot and return later in the day. The problems: A/C not working and windows wouldn't open to cool down room; "remnants" left on sides of toilet bowl as well as "hairs" left all over the floor in the bathroom from previous tenant; holes in the sheets, blankets and pillowcases; limited...
I love staying at this hotel. It's clean, nice large rooms are great to come back to after a long day of shopping or just walking around the historic area. The whirlpool bath is one of the best features! The staff is always courteous and helpful.
Friendly staff.\n\nRoom in very poor condition.\n\nThis is a one star at best. The location is very good, and the price was fair, but you must understand that it is a one star at best rating for condition.
Over the last 20 years I've stayed at this hotel several times. It's easy to see the place is going downhill. There's a lot of cosmetic damage that hasn't been repaired, included breakfast is almost non-existent. I stay there because of its location, right across the street from the historic area. Also noticed I'm paying about half what I use to per night.
Annual Busch Gardens visit...Hotel was extremely dirty and I did not like the fact that they needed my credit card for "incidentals", what does that mean???? Bathroom was disgustingly dirty. I will not stay here again.
Hotel was clean but very outdated. Smelled musty. We has stayed here mamy times in the past. Great location to Williamsburg (walk across the street and you are there!) Staff was great. Just update it!
I've been to Williamsburg several times throughout the years, always looking for a nice hotel, hopefully in walking distance to CW and a short drive to Busch Gardens. This was by far the closest and nicest for the money. I wasn't expecting a free breakfast, but it was in a comfortable location with the usual set up (Cook your own waffles & a nice assortment of muffins & bagels.) The staff...
The room we where given looked like if was in repair.
After reading these reviews and seeing this place has been under renovations for over 2 years I'm shocked at how messy and rundown the place was. No a/c in the main areas and hallways. The room we had was either too hot or too cold. The air blows right on you so your cold turn it down your hot. My allergies kicked in as soon as we got in the room. Mold in the carpet. The matress was...
The staff at the hotel were very nice, this was the only thing you could say about it. The rooms were old, outdated, dirty & it was noisy because it was undergoing a much needed renovation. I have an idea that they are turning into a time share situation of some sort but don't know that for sure. The restaurants in the immediate vicinity were terrible & pricey. The only positive thing about...
