Since August 2009 the dramatic improvements in food quality, atmosphere, and professional service are remarkable. This locally owned and operated family business has created a wonderful family style restaurant with freshly prepared, delicious food. To share a quiet afternoon meal with my business associates or to relax after hours with a fun and playful atmosphere, Paradocks is my favorite place to eat in Chesapeake!
I got a business card from a friend for a free appetizer. I decided to grab the family while out shopping and use the coupon. We had a wonderful lunch! The food was great, our waitress, Lauren, was extremely friendly. They had things to keep the kids entertained while we waited for our food. Our meals were hot and done right the first time. We will definetly be returning for a second trip!

When this place first opened in Chesapeake I thought it was outstanding. I went there several times with my family and really enjoyed. The food was excellent, wait staff was great. My friends and I used to go on Friday evenings but the service got progressively worse. Because of the decline in service and food there was a long period of time when I refused to go there but thought I would give it another chance. My opinion remains. They should shut the doors on this place!

My husband went and dined here for the evening because we are newer to the area and wanted to try something different. We got two tall beers, bottlecaps (like popppers but sliced and were super yummy). I ordered the halaburger (fish sandwhich) with onion rings and brocolli. My fish was super small and had strange tarter sauce. My husband ordered the 11oz burger and it was huge!! Their were two beef pattied on a sub style bun. They cooked the burger to perfection and very super juicy and flavorful. He got hushpuppies and onion rings with his platter.

Our Cub Scout Den used Paradocks for our Blue and Gold. The food taste, quantity, and quality was superb and the value was awesome!!
The cavernous dining hall is quasi-Disney World and warehouse-like. The food was poorly prepared (warm, soggy, oily fish 'n chips). Portions were rediculously small and served in low class cardboard containers. If Paradocks is still in business by the end of the year, I'd be amazed. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

This restaurant held much promise but completely failed to live up to my expectations. I dined for lunch with a friend and we both thought the experience so horrible to the point of being laughable.
