Terrible, I mean should be put out of business terrible. No wonder they come off as being so cheap. First was the furniture pick up. they gave me no estimate, only assumed what I told them on the phone and arrived at their own estimate.
2000.00, 10% coupon, two workers and a truck. They tore my ???? up, dirty hand prints on walls and doors, chip corners on walls, screws and parts to furniture left behind and if that was not enough only half of my furniture would fit on the truck. The loaders concluded this in the last hour of the loading. I had already told them days before "YOU'R GONNA NEED ANOTHER TRUCK". I was quoted it would cost 1,000.00 for a second truck. The deal was to move all my furniture. Mr. Moore first said a second truck would be 1,700.00 then it went down to 1,500.00 when I reminded him of the quotes made to me over the phone by receptionist. The redelivery was no better. My refrigerator no longer works properly, three un-replaceable lamps broken, furniture not put back together. more chips in walls 2 inch hole in dresser, boxes busted, Kristal broken, deep gashes in furniture, long rub marks. I was horrified when I saw how the truck was packed when it was opened up.
When I called one stop (literally at the last minute) I was told they were booked, but could squeeze me in. I was told it would take 2 men and cost $250 the first 2 hours and $50 every 30 mins. I was fine with that.They arrived the next day with 3 men and charged me $300 the first 2 hours and $75 every 30 mins. Really?!?! I proceed it was last minute and I had to move. As they look around my apartment...now it's like oh we charge for sofas, love seats, washer and dryers, etc.SERIOUSLY!!! I've never been charged extra for such items and I've moved a lot. I asked them to move the items and I would call the office since this wasn't stated to me before. Please get all details up front from these people cause they are out to scam!!! Spoke to the office they were no help and stated it's in the contract. They wanted $100 per piece and then dropped to $25. How sweet! As the movers are doing their job a lady pulls up (come to find out it's the owners wife) ranting and raving over her and husbands (the owner) divorce case. That's very professional!! Moving on the movers stab each other in the back. My dresser was broken literally and no one took the blame, but one of the movers was nice of enough to tell me who did it. I asked the guys to take additional items to salvation army and I would pay an extra $50 to drive literally across the street from my storage unit. As soon as I showed them my things. The one mover thought it was a free for all and said he wanted everything, ok but I'm not paying an extra $50. Long story short I complained to the office about the extra mover, oversize charges, the unprofessional wife, etc. I get a sorry!! Oh that's nice. The owner Karl Moore he's a joke. He hung up on me the one time I did talk to him. I'm responsible for a dresser your mover broke (is your company not insured?) Regardless if I purchased insurance or not. Right is right and wrong is wrong. I'm surprised he's still in business with his bad bbb (F rating) and google reviews. They will rip you off. The owners name is carl moore. He does part of the job and then tries to extort money for the rest. Beware!
This business is not part of aaaa self storage located at 2151 south military highway!!!! They do not have an office here and there is no business of theirs here~

Do not use this Business. This was one of my worst moves ever. They damaged my walls and furniture and refuse to take care of it. The manager was a jerk and refused to talk to us.
I would tell anyone that needs to move, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I don't know what they are like in other states, but the ones in Chesapeake gave us the worse moving experience we have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Amazing job done by One Stop Moving. I called to book a move for November 18, and I spoke with a very nice gentleman, he said it was no problem to move me. We set a time up and the movers showed up 15 minutes before my time. They were dressed very professional, and had a professional demeanor. I will use them again in the future.
I was moved by One Stop Moving over the weekend, they showed up on time and were dressed very professional. They were reasonably priced and they handled my belonging with great care.
Facts:
Had walk through of house with owner of One Stop Moving company-was given an estimate to move-$700 to include wrapping furniture and moving 2 appliances.
Movers showed up one hour late.
Was told there was an extra $100 fee for wrapping
Movers would not give me a receipt or copy of contract after I signed it (that day)
Owner would not answer multiple (approx. 10) phone calls or talk...
