Help us make it rightWe are a locally owned video game store, providing everyone in the community with OldSkool games and systems starting from the Atari on up to today's technology
We really appreciate you driving as far as you do to come visit our stores! In regards to the wrapping of the games and game boxes. We wrap them for several reasons. One being that it keeps them from getting any dirtier than they might already be. Two, it looks really nice! Three, the stickers that we put on them so we can scan them don't stick to anything important. Forth, and probably the...
Well, we appreciate you stopping into our store. Its a shame that you feel like you have to drive all that way to Cool Stuff in order to get good deals. If you really felt this way about our store, we are always open to suggestions. Unlike Cool Stuff, we here at OldSkool always take your trade, and aren't limited to the amount of games we can carry due to how many we may already have. The few...
Customer service is top notch. As the other reviews mentioned, I always feel welcome (but not overwhelmed) here when I enter, unlike other game stores. The only thing I would strongly STRONGLY recommend to the owners is to please, please, please NOT wrap your older games up in the shrink wrap. As a semi-collector, I've unwrapped several games later only to realize that markers and scratches...
This is a great place to trade up, or to just sell your old items. We brought in out old Nintendo game unit and made $50 that we put towards a new PS3 game. Basically this was a great trade! Plus this store has a better selection of games that the newer stores do not. I found an old game that I had been looking for that the new stores did not have anymore. Thrilled!!
They know what they are talking about. They don't ignore you like at Cool Stuff in VA Beach. Great selection and if they don't have it they get it. Also, Awesome supporters of community functions and local businesses.
This listing is pretty incorrect. They don't have balloon artist on site, and don't sell balloons. When I read this I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. However what they do is way better. They sell video games, everything from the Atari to the newest stuff like PS3 and 360! Prices are way cheaper than other used places like Gamestop or Bestbuy. They do trades as well, and you get more...
Excellent local all purpose game/computer shop. Staff and owners are very knowledgeable and helpful. They even stock some of the old rare stuff ( atari to turboduo ), and if they don't have it they can get it.
Eh, not so good, not bad, but not good... COOL STUFF of Independence blvd va beach is WAY better. They have like 5-10$ more on stuff too, and the trade-in is better than Gamestop, but way under COOL STUFF, I recommend taking the drive to cool stuff instead, really.
Oldskool opened up a few days before I had moved into the area, and I just HAD to check the place out, the name alone was enough to make me curious. I am so glad I did. Just walking in the door, I was greeted with smiling faces, and immediate service. I browsed the huge selection of games, and upon finding out that they offered PC/Laptop repair services, and had computer techs on staff, I...
