Best salon in Virginia Beach. Biggest salon ever. It has a barber shop and a sports bar. A 200 inch movie screen and all. I really love this salon and did I mention a pool table. My hair is fabulous as well. All the time.

I love my hair. It looks great. My weave and cut are slamming and very sharp. I got a full sew in weave with a shrap asymetric cut and everyone loves it. So natural.
Absolutely terrible. The stylist are sloppy and smell like weed. I got my sew in done here (flat) it was terrible. Unprofessional and ghetto as anyone can get. Beware dont let the website fool you.
there were pros and cons...pro: the shop was clean and the ppl were friendly and helpful CON: they quote you false prices then change them on you also their ads state they take visa and mastercard but they dont..they have u walk to an atm 4 doors down...so im on the fence about this place
great salon, knowledgable staff and beautiful customer service. i seen about 12 or more stylist doing hair getting customers in and out and i was pleased with what is seen. sewins, fusions, micros, kinky twist and all. i will be going there on a regular basis. im working towards my gold card where i would receive discounts every time, even if i bring someone. this salon have it going on.
my weaves look so natural when i leave new york hair braids and weaves all the time. i love their customer service and everything. i also got micro braids and they were the bomb as well. my friend always get the layered short silk wraps and it always look so natural and full when they finish. this place is the truth.
Had a great experience the first time...called back to request the same stylist and was told Michelle is no longer with us because of "personal issues"...They signed me up with another stylist....she ended up putting nail glue on several spots of my OWN hair! Long story short I now have to get my hair cut because of the damage and hair loss....Not to mention that i noticed more of the stylists...
I loved my experiencee. I got a flat sewin that lasted for 3 months. the customer service was great and everything. they have a fireplace and a very nice upscale salon. i was very pleased. i have a gold card now and receive discounts every visit. i highly recommend ny hair designs.
I went to this salon and got my hair braided not even a month ago and the braids look like I had them in my hair for over 4 months. Its a mess I will not be going back to this salon ever again. I would never advise anyone to step foot in this place. Its cold the ownwe has heaters spaced out around the shop. Its a mess!!

they are open 7 days so it is very convenient for my schedule, also i can bring several friends and we can all get our hair braided/weaved at the same time there are at least 10 stylist there.

This is the only salon I know that is open 7 days, except late appointments, has at least 10 stylist in at all times and offer weaving, braiding, relaxers, cuts, dreads, etc... While I was there I saw at least 15 people leave with smiles on their faces. I love this salon.
Just called salon and they abruptly put me on hold and after waiting for over 7 minutes for someone to come back to the phone I hung up. I then called back and they didn't answer.Way to treat a potenial customer!!! NOT!!!!
I paid $200 for micro braids and ended up with box braids. The service was good but I was not happy with my hair at all. I hate going to the Africans because they have bad service but I would have been better off going to them. Most of my braids were too big. I would not recommend this shop for braids. I have to admit I saw a couple of people getting weaves and they looked very good.
