Help us make it rightWhat a GREAT little old school country place that will really take you back! Not much to look at from the outside, but when you enter, you'll be transported back to the late 70s/80s. The kind of...
I like this store/restaurant every time I go here I get their grill cheese. Them janks be banging lmao. I'm know the people who work their since heck that's my hometown. Don't miss Rawlings one bit
The boyfriend and I stopped here for a late lunch on our way down to Charlotte after reading the rave reviews about the fried chicken. This place did not disappoint. With a decor that transplanted one back to the 60s or 70s and a local clientele that probably has been eating there for at least that long, we had a...
It was a step back in time. Reminded me of small town Iowa. Older waitress reminded me of my mom. Daughter had chicken strips, son had hot roast beef, and my wife and I both had salad bar. With no drinks, appetizers, or dessert, $34 plus tip seemed a bit steep for the feel of the place. Nice step back...
We stopped here on the way to a graduation party in Fort Mill SC (just south of Charlotte) and also on the way back. It is a convenient eatery just off of I85. On Friday I had the reuben lunch special that was very good. You also received a choice of veggie and I chose mac n cheese that was...
Heading south yesterday after a meeting near the Richmond Airport. Needed a quick snack so stopped in for a ham roll (country ham on a soft roll) a sweet tea and some slaw. The ladies that waited on me couldn't be sweeter. Food came quick and hit the spot. Recommend a stop if your on I85.
I recently read an article called "30 Places To Eat In Virginia Before You Die". Number 28 was the Nottoway Restaurant. I read the reviews and now that I've been there I'm not sure what happened the day the negative reviews were written but my visit was awesome! The waitress could not have been nicer and was there quickly with...
We went here as a wish of my dying grandma and they were rude to her.she didn't even get to eat. The food is okay. Caters to regulars only
We had a fried chicken dinner and a grilled chicken dinner. Both were delicious and the warm rolls definitely exceeded my expectations!
Fantastic service and a simple, but very clean salad bar.
The locals love this place and I don't know why, the food is not that great. The crab cakes are all filler and the breaded fried shrimp is not really breaded. If your on interstate 85 don't stop and keep going to South Hill Virginia and stop at the Horseshoe Restaurant. They always have excellent food.
Frequently stop for lunch at this old time restaurant for lunch forsaking the new chain offerings at the gas stop down the road. Good quick service. Food is fresh and tasty. Hate to see these type places disappear.
A quaint little southern style restaurant worth visiting. The food is good and filling, the prices are great. The help is very friendly. Was good enough we stopped there going and returning from Charlotte, NC.
Doesn't deserve one star my family and I used to love this place we hadn't been in a while came today first off menu was sparse and expensive salad bar was awful and when we got our food it had no...
Stopped here on my way back to Durham & I'm soooooo glad I did. All my memories of country living came flooding back. Ham roll. Ham 4/5 - a LITTLE salty for me, but that bread? The BREAD!?...
A bit pricey for what they offer. The fried chicken was dry. Country fried steak was good, but I would not go back. Kids meals were $8.50. Food was not seasoned well.
