I have stayed here for 2 months and the service is outstanding! The hotel itself is old and run down but the staff from housekeeping to front desk is always attentive to guest request!
The hospitality staff at the Wyndham Cliff and Kenneth are absolutely amazing! They go above and beyond their job descriptions to be an asset to their clients. I've had to large events within a 6 month period, and they have worked them both. With out their professionalism and support we wouldn't have been as successful.

Angelo, cliff and the rest of the staff bent over backwards to make our fundraiser event for our local Non-profit a huge success. The food was very good and lived up to the standard we wanted, the ballroom was clean, set up early. We will be back next year for sure.

Seemed a little dated, and entering the hotel was difficult, both to locate and if you didn't find the drive up to the front door it was hard bringing luggage up the stairs from the parking lot. Otherwise, nice clean rooms, friendly staff.

Had a great weekend here. Very relaxing. At first we had a problem with our shower, but Mike Cannizzaro ( hope I got the name right) who happened to be the Director of Engieering came himself and fixed the issue. With that issue Quickly taken care of the trip was absolutly perfect.

I chose this hotel (over the waterfront Marriot which I like a lot) mainly for its outdoor pool. Unfortunately, the pool was closed. I requested a late checkout at 12 pm. I also had a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. Guest Services knocked on my door at 8:00 and again at 10. They wanted to know if I was checking out and the next time she asked when was I checking out.

Neighborhood kids used the pool. Riff Raff hang out in parking lot. I felt very unsafe with my mother and child from car to hotel. This hotel was not a bad place to stay for an affordable price. There were a few things that could have been better. The hotel had a modern retro decor which was nice. The lobby and hallways were hot, it seemed like the AC was off in these areas and the elevator was very slow....u cant just hop on the elevator and go, u will have to wait a few min each time.

While this location was not the optimum location, it proved to be well worth the wait and the price. Just a few blocks from the esteemed McArthur mall and a few more blocks from waterside just across the channel from old Portsmouth. Stayed there with my boyfriend for one night for a concert and chose it due to the location and after reading positive views. Room was big and clean. The only negative aspect was that the walls are very thin and we could clearly hear the guests next door - but we did not mind as the noise soon stopped after we arrived.
