Help us make it rightWow! I had the chicken and waffles, the chicken was delicious! I'm not sure it was worth the $13.99, but it was good. The waffle could of been hotter. The taste was good. My daughter had an...
Had a great experience there this morning. Staff super friendly great atmosphere and food was very good and reasonably priced We will definitely eat there again before heading home to Florida
We came here for breakfast on a Sunday. Fortunately we made it in between church services, so we were sat quickly. Food was inexpensive and in large quantity, home cooked and delicious. Forget...
This was such a gem!!! The nice lady who sat us immediately reminded me of gramps. We were so hungry and the menu was so extensive that we couldn't decide on what to eat. I asked the waiter how...
I have been going to the National Pancake house for many years (15). The manager/owner (Joan) is a great lady. Service is exceptional and the food is more than adequate and taste great.
Coffee at $1.95 per cup would have been fine if the coffee
was good and fresh not like watered down. Waffles and and pancakes as expected. We were a group of 6 and not one of us is likely to visit again. Maybe the franchise pancake houses would do better because they have a quality to maintain. - J. Aragon
Just average, won't return due to the poor service and tasteless food. You're strictly a customer, and there for the money
It was average at best. The hot chocolate was good. Eggs runny, bacon good, fried chicken and waffles was overlooked. Service was great. I like going to local places and not chains... But nothing stood out.
We were looking for breakfast and noticed 6 police cars at this pancake house. Figured it cannot be too bad. Food was good and plentiful. Six strips of bacon on an order. Service a bit spotty and no ambiance. But hey, it's a pancake house.
My husband and I had breakfast two mornings in a row as it was so good. I loved the greek omlette. Will go back again when we next visit Williamsburg.
Basic menu. Good, fast service. Clean. Decent decor. Non-obtrusive music. We had a very pleasant breakfast here on our way to Williamsburg. Not spectacular, but the coffee was good and they left the carafe fory husband which was awesome. The food came very quickly. We were there at 8am and there were only a couple other people in the restaurNt...
Food and service was outstanding! From the moment you walk in the door you feel right at home! Our server, Keisha was awesome!
food is tasty and value is good. But the cashier old woman (probably owner) is very slow. She has to hire someone younger. Garcons are generally students but they act too professional for being amateurs.
Excellent service...friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food. Great place for breakfast.
This place is absolutely amazing. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. They make you feel right at home. A shout out to our waitress Thresea she was amazing !!
Excellent service. I had the eggs and catfish for breakfast; it was delicious.
My favorite place and friends. Food is the bomb. Give it 5 stars.
I have eaten here on many occasions and the food is the normal, slightly over priced, tourist breakfast eatery. They do have excellent wait staff and have never had to send good back or complain. You shouldn't be disappointed with stop here for a filling breakfast.
If you like to be ignored for 15 minutes, I recommend this place....You will feel invisible as the wait staff and management act like you do not exist. After you inform them of your displeasure you will be told how Good your service was and charged 5 dollars for the two cups of coffee you did not drink.
Food was over-salted, lukewarm and likely straight out of the can (and into the microwave). Decent prices, but considering nothing was fresh and we were overcharged for one of our orders, not really worth it. Pancakes were flat and bland and tea was awful for 1.79. On the other hand, biscuits were decent, and the eggs seemed fresh. Service was...
So enjoyed our breakfast experience here! The staff (esp Teresa, our waitress) is so friendly! French Toast was wonderful! Nice clean, bright atmosphere. Will definitely recommend and return!!
Great food! Awesome service with a spirit of excellence! I can always expect the best from the best!
Terrific restaurant! We arrived at 11am and were seated immediately. The waiter was very pleasant and checked on us frequently. I got the veggie omelet with home fried potatoes and a side of bacon. My fiancé got the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich that also came with home fried potatoes. Both meals …
Really clean and bright.Good food.Tasty not heavy or greasy. Great staff.Would go again.
This is the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in.And the staff one of the nicest. My breakfast was wonderful, eggs very fresh. My husband's pancakes were delicious. Will return often.
Very clean, very friendly..very yummy! :-) we had Teresa and she was great. We had breakfast - pancakes were cooked perfectly..didn't even need butter! Potatoes were exactly how I like them. I highly recommend this Pancake and Waffle House for breakfast.
So glad we found this place....awesome chicken and waffles and the kids got sprinkles on their chocolate chip pancakes!Great service from Teresa and a great vibe all around
This has become out favorite place to eat. The food and portion sizes are only beat by the price you'll pay. This is a homegrown locally owned establishment with a southern hospitality flare. Heck, while you are there, you may be put on Facebook so others will see the fun you're having. Great place and service. Thanks Corey Bartlett
Awesome place!Im slowly working my way through the menu,so far everything I have tasted is great! The service is awesome, and speedy, and the food is fresh and reasonably priced! So sad to see soul food Sundays end tho :'(
We ate here off hours on a weekday morning and the food was delicious. There was a great variety of pancakes from blueberry to banana pecan to many others to suit all tastes. The service was fast and the wait staff was very friendly and stopped to chat. There seemed to be a lot of locals and the wait staff...
Wonderful service. Clean and bright dining room . Had a yummy breakfast there. Pot of coffee on the table....nice touch.
decided to stop for breakfast on our trip ti VA. friendly courteous service.keisha was very friendly and the perfect server. Food was great!!I I suggest the sausage gravy biscuits...yummy.
Excellent food. We had a variety of breakfast menu items and all were good. Asked for a grilled biscuit and they knew what I meant. The staff was cordial and attentive and we enjoyed our meal.
Wanted an Omelet while traveling back from VA Beach. Stopped here and felt right at home. The Omelet was flavorful and the home fries were tasty. I plan on coming back in a couple of months.
It was all good. We have eaten there for Breakfast several times over the years. One time I don't eat Healthy. Grits with lot of BUTTER ,Bacon , fried Eggs. Don't forget the pancakes.
We stopped in for breakfast on our way to Busch Gardens the last day in Williamsburg and wished we would have gone here first. They had great food and the portions are huge.
Good food, friendly service!
I came for lunch, it's location was convenient. I had a chicken sandwich which was very good. The waitress was friendly and the price was low. If you are looking for a simple place to eat stop in.
Thanks so much to Bridgette, who welcomed our big family with warmth and fed us some of the tastiest pancakes and waffles in Hampton Roads!
We went to this restaurant because it is very close to the hotel that we were staying at in Williamsburg. We had a coupon for 10 percent off the bill. I ordered pancakes and my husband ordered a cheese omelet. Both tasted good and were served very quickly. I agree with other reviewers that Cracker Barrel is better, but the...
Passed up Cracker Barrel and Ihop for the local flavor of a neighborhood pancake house-but flavor is everything it lacked. The pancakes were thin and rubbery-big disappointment for a self proclaimed pancake house- and the biscuits looked store bought, which would even have been ok except they were dark and wrinkled on top like they'd been reheated in a microwave....
Great Taste and Nice Portion!!! The omelet was loaded with crabmeat and pancakes were good too. Atmosphere was nice and perfect for a business casual meeting.
It is good, but not unusual, there are lots of pancake houses n Williamsburg.
I would suggest trying them all and if you find one you like best stick with it.
They are especially busy on weekends so you might have to wait as we did at this one. But that is ok.
Pancakes are pancakes so they are all...
My wife and I had waffles and bacon. It was very good and the waitress and hosts were very nice. We just got finished with hot yoga and they made sure we had plenty of water! Very nice.
Had breakfast there while on vacation, good sized portions and good service. The wait staff was courteous and didn't hover.
We have lived in the area for many years and have tried all the breakfast spots. The National Pancake House (aka Coreys) is our favorite. It is clean, fast and friendly service. Bridget and Jennifer are super! Prices are reasonable and they offer Senior menu items at Breakfast. They also have the BEST PANCAKES IN TOWN!
breakfast here was okay. may return when we hit town again in the fall. i love breakfast foods. especially belgian waffles. they are small here though not big like i like them
First our server forgot to take my wife's order, should have left then. The pancakes were tasteless and rubbery like they had been microwaved. The sausage was good but everything was covered ed in grease. There was absolutely no atmosphere and was very cramped.
Yes, we went to NPH because 2 out of 3 of us wanted pancakes. Yes, the pancakes were great. But I gotta tell you about the omelet and home fries I had. I got the veggie omelet with mushrooms, onions, and peppers, and boy was it delicious. The omelet and home fries had more taste than about any omelet and...
Went there for breakfast. I as well as two friends all got omeletes. For $6.99 omelete wasn't bad size, plus hash browns (way underdone for me, friends liked them, they were just like warm seasoned potato slices to me), and toast. It was not busy as it was an off hour, server was not very polite at all. Friend waited...
I will just talk about the pancakes, being that this is a "pancake house." The pancakes were horrible, almost as thin as a 3 sheets of paper. Taste was same, yes tasted like paper with chocolate chips sprinkled on top. Dont come here!
Ate here on the way home after a week at Governor's Green. Didn't want a big breakfast at the resort before checkout but needed something hearty for the road. National served the purpose. Everything was fine but a couple notes. Be sure to ask for separate cheques when you order, waitress can't split them once she rings it up (?)....
We went by today for a late breakfast(Sunday). The place was pretty full with visitors from PA, NY, NJ, MA, NC, CT etc. Some locals too.
We both had the eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and rye toast. Eggs were to be over medium. It came out within minutes. That should have been our first sign.
EVERYTHING was greasy and EVERYTHING was...
A mixture of local and tourists make this a busy place, but well worth a few minutes wait. Good service and food once seated. They also serve lunch.
This was the better of the pancake houses, prepared food fast and accurate, cleaner than the others.
Pancakes were microwaved. Sandwich I ordered..a BLT was ice cold just like the hash browns.
Restaurant was very clean. Waitress was very nice. Food was great. Lots of food.
Typical breakfast fare. . . good and filling pancakes.
Our family stopped for lunch and found something each of us was craving! The place is so clean, the staff friendly and responsive, the food was hot and plentiful and the prices reasonable. They gladly welcomed any changes and substitutes. We will be back!
Only serves breakfast and lunch, closes at 1:30. Huge portions, we had a breakfast special and found it very tastey
Food was fantastic for the price and the waitresses were great!
This is a popular place on weekends with a typical menu. Several of us ordered different kinds of pancakes-banana, chocolate chip, and blueberry. They were all delicious! The fillings were interspersed within the batter as well as a garnish on the top. And as far as I'm concerned, the most important thing that this place did right was serve the...
We eat here all the time, mostly for breakfast, but also for lunch. I am a picky eater (no bread, burnt bacon, smaller portions, etc.) and they accomodate me. Try them for lunch, the prices are very reasonable. They have sandwiches, salads, baskets, and specials every day. The staff is friendly and proficient. We always find the restaurant clean.
Have tried many breakfast places in town, but National Pancake has the best poached eggs. Their senior menu is perfect and is priced right. The staff is friendly and remembers your previous orders. Great way to start the day. My wife easts gulten free and the staff makes the effort to please. Clean, bright, friendly place with great food and...
I had the orginal pancakes and they were good. The speed of service was great, but there was no one in the restaurant. The server was friendly enough. I would go back.
This is one of the smaller restaurants offering breakfast in Williamsburg, but don't let that fool you. The food is excellent, and the biscuits are the best I've had in who knows how long! The only bummer was the orange juice tasted like Tang, but other than that, everything was delicious. The wait staff were extremely friendly, and we look...
this was a great start to our day at the water park. service was prompt and the place was very clean. my ham was good and my girlfriend's veggie omlette was on point. we ate at the rt. 60 location, near the entrance to busch gardens
Restaurant was clean. Food arrived quickly and service was friendly. Food was average. I had pancakes and my husband had eggs and ham. If average food will suit you, this restaurant will be fine. If your looking for something more unique or flavorful, look elsewhere.
We just left there and had the misfortune of seeing rat droppings on the window sill right next to our table. Makes you question their cleaning regimen as they have only been opened for approximately one month. Terrible way to start the day.
place is big and clean. first time we had freshly made blintz ...it was great. omelets and french toast are good. super friendly staff....ohh and the portions are big and price is reasonable. you want to come here for good food at the right price. four star is for the service and portion.
The food was good, but the service wasn't the best, but I it really wasn't the fault of the servers, they just got hit with a couple of bus ...
National Pancake House is located at 1605 Richmond Rd, Williamsburg, VA. This business specializes in Family Style Restaurants.
This family owned restaurant has two convenient locations: one on Richmond Road and another on Pocahontas Trail. The Pocahontas Trail branch is conveniently close to historical areas and Colonial Williamsburg. National Pancake House is by no means just another breakfast place as they offer freshly made from scratch breakfasts: omelettes, eggs of any style, French toast, waffles and pancakes...
